Give your trailer that cool, retro look with this chrome-plated, baby-moon-style hubcap. Pointed top offers unique appearance. Fits only 15" diameter, 6-lug, conventional wheels.First of all it was very helpful watching the Video you provided about this product! It’s everything you said it would be. It popped right on the wheel with a perfect fit! It’s the perfect look I was looking for! Thanks
Cone Shaped Chrome Hubcaps, I made the mistake of using a hammer wrapped thick fabric to tap the 1st hubcap on to the wheel. Since the hubcap is thinner than "old time" hubcaps, it dented. The second hubcap I asked my husband to hit with his hand, it popped on nicely to the wheel. The new hubcaps look great on my 1954 Safari Airstream! Just a note, I also ordered a trailer hitch for my car from etrailer to pull this camper. I think their customer service & online videos are great and orders are sent out fast!
This fits my 5 lug wheel even though the description says for 6 lug wheels.
fast shipping not damaged, hub caps fit the dexter 15x6 6 lug wheels good, although i wish i had the round dome( for 5 lugs wheels)-vs- the cone shape for 6 lugs, but they still look good
i like ;em they fit snug and heavy gauge metal , if you use a rag and a soft rubber mallet , hit on the very edge they pop right on , i was worried after hearing people said they had problems with them , maybe i got lucky either way the fit the 15in steel wheels just fine . i have a 58 Apache that i use these on i don;t drive the truck that often and e trailer was the only place i could find that had everything in stock wheels well balanced and now with the hubcaps ole betty is looking sharp sorry i could not get a picture at this time i will try latter
Great vintage style caps, fit perfect on the 15x6 steel Dexstar wheels I also purchased from etrailer, great customer service
I used this hub cap on my Teardrop camper spare which is mounted on the rear of the trailer. It gives that extra detail and nostalgic appeal.
Like the originals-without the rust-everyone comments on the hubcaps-I hope to get another 40 years out of this trailer
These wheel caps really dressed up our camper renovation. We have been working to restore our 1973 Mobile Scout and these are a nice finishing touch to it. They are sturdy and fit my wheels like a champ. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to add some bling to their wheels!
These are the baby moons on my 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern BBQ Trailer. The Pointed baby moons are for 6 lug steele wheels.
Decent hub caps I was expecting something lighter weight and was suprised of the quality.
I am pleased with my purchase and the customer service I got at etrailer.. I will shop with them again when the need arises..
Excellent customer service.
I am very pleased with my order. Couldn’t ask for a better salesperson. Kimberly is top notch!!!
Excellent quality and awesome follow up
Arrived with scuffs and some small scratches. I think it was poorly wrapped in the packaging. I’m not too concerned, just a heads up.
The hub caps came in good condition and look just like original equipment for this old 1972 Terry Trailer. Really spiffed it up.
Very thin but look good on the trailer, just be careful not to dent them during install!
Ordered these for my vintage trailer along with new steel wheels. The wheels are beautiful and the caps look pretty but putting them on without "denting" them is next to impossible. They are very flimsy and very difficult to push onto the wheel. I called customer service to verify that I ordered and received the correct ones and I did get the correct ones. One of there experts is supposed to call me. etrailer is a great company to deal with but I am a little suspect to quality of some items.
The wheel and hub caps are exactly what I ordered and are identical to the original equipment on a 1976 Hale Trailer that I am refurbishing to original condition. The hub caps are of the same style and quality of the original. These items were not in stock or available to some of the local trailer shops.
Great service, excellent product that fit perfectly. Note I have a 1968 Prowler with 5-lug 75R-15 rims but they took this larger hubcap listed for 6 lug rims. Moral of the story - go with outside diameter of the hub cap bumps on your rims! Customer service and shipping exceeded expectations, so our "Diva" showed off shiny new caps on our recent trip to the Teanaway River in Washington State.
This product was supposed to fit on the 15" x 6" Dexstar conventional steel wheels. There is NO way to properly get this hub cap on without denting the sh*t out of it. I watched the video on how to put it on and it was not helpful, simply because it doesn't fit.
Superior customer service keeps eTrailer my #1 place to go! The hub caps look great. One should make sure a rubber mallet or hubcap hammer is used when installing these. Also, if you have painted the rims, know that this paint thickness adds some measurable diameter to the rims, and installation will require more force. Since these caps are made in China, the material is a little thinner and is much more prone to bending, so be absolutely sure to use the proper tool (heavy rubber mallet or hubcap tool) when installing.
I just got a set of 4 of these, and I give this 4/5 stars. The hubcaps look really good and they have a nice, snug fit on the wheel. The only drawback is they dent pretty easily, so installation can be a bit tricky. I bought these and a set of 15x6 6x5.5 lug wheels for my 1968 GMC pickup and they look great. Overall I'm quite satisfied.
I had purchased the same covers back in the late 80's or early 90's
for another trailer, and I thought I might not be able to get another set
for a different trailer in 2021, but you had what I was looking for.
Thanks for your help!
Rodney
I mounted these on my vintage trailer ('65 Nerco) and they look super! Been on there over a year now in the weather and still look brand new. Even picked up a spare rim here and it completely matched my existing stockers.
Thank you etrailer!
