Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the Counteract Stud Cleaning Kit. Now, when you're installing your wheels to your vehicle or trailer studs and hubs, it's always necessary to clean all the threaded surfaces of a wheel assembly to ensure proper clamping force is achieved, and you wanna adhere to the Tire Industry Association's RIST procedures. This is a stud cleaning kit that allow you to quickly clean rusted and corroded wheel studs on your vehicle or trailer to allow for proper wheel mounting. Now, this does require a hand-held drill or the Counteract air driver, which we do sell separately on our website, it's part number CA39FR, and it's listed on this product page as a related product, and this kit here is designed for use on automotive and commercial applications. Wanna zoom in, and we'll go ahead and open it up and show you all the pieces that are included and go over them.
Once we get it opened up, you'll be able to see it comes with the two stud cleaning tools, has a larger one right here, and then a smaller one. Does come with the half inch drive adapter, and that's used to insert into this tool and allows you to insert it into the drill or the air driver, and the same way on this one. Does come with the hex key, see if I can get it out of here, and the hex key is used for the set screws on here that'll hold your cartridges in place on the tool, and then it comes with the seven different size stainless steel brush cartridges, so for the larger one, it'll come with these three, and again, we'll go over the sizes here, and then for the smaller one, it'll come with these four. And then the last thing in here, they do include some nice safety glasses, that you always wanna use when you're using these tools, and these are adjustable, you can see, it adjust in and out. And again, we've mentioned this nice sturdy foam padded carrying case.
Now, this kit is designed to be used on, we'll start with the smaller tool here, it'll start with the smaller 7/16 size stud it'll fit on, which is also a 12 millimeter size, 1/2 inch stud, 13 millimeter also, 9/16 size, 14 millimeter, and the 5/8 inch, which is also a 16 millimeter stud. The larger one for the more commercial applications, it'll start with the 3/4 inch, which is also an 18 millimeter stud, 13/16, 20 millimeter stud, and the 7/8 inch, which is a 22 milliliter stud. But you can see how the cartridges are basically installed here, this one's gonna pop these three set screws, and when you do put your cartridge in there, then you use your hex key to tighten it down and hold it into place, and then to remove it, you just loosen those set screws and pull out the size, as you can see, it'll come pre-loaded with a size also. But then again, when you're ready to go put it all away, what you wanna do is go ahead and take your glasses, they have a spot for that, take your large tool and smaller tool at the bottom, and these are all marked on there with the size of the stud that they will fit on, and then there's even a little place for your hex key and your adapter. Once it's all in there, go ahead and zipper it up on each side, and once it's all zippered up, you can see that everything's all together and all ready to go.
But that should do it for the review on the Counteract Stud Cleaning Kit..
