Helped me connect wires for the Redarc controller I bought from you

by:

The best online store to get your things fixed. Customer service is the best, 100% assurance you’ll get you package received and taken care of. I enjoyed my roof rack with his new clamps from etrailer.com
So quick to answer your concerns. I will always recommend this etrailer.com to my friends

by:

I recently ordered two self adjusting brakes and wire. Through error on my part I ordered the wrong butt connectors. That's okay when I place my next order I will order the correct ones. The brakes were easy to install thanks to all the videos e trailer provides. I will be placing more orders before my 1965 Serro Scotty is completed.

by:

Good quality connector. However recommend using connectors that heat shrink for trailer applications

by:

These worked great for what I needed, ad so far its been a year and everything is still holding.
What is the best part was that etrailer was great on the phone, provided great customer service when ordering and even checked back in a year later to be sure the product was still working. Fantastic service!

by:

I really like this brake controller, It was easy to install and the light display lets you know how much your brake is working. The only problem I came across was that I had to order a special wire adaptor which they don't tell you when you place your order.

The Tow Ready Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers - Nissan - 20266 and the 12-10 Gauge Butt Connector - 05732-2 were a perfect fit for the prewired harness on the 2013 Nissan Xterra S.
Thank you

I'm installing brakes on a little 13' Scamp that didn't originally have them. With the help of very descriptive information on your website, plus videos, etc., I was able to determine exactly what I needed to do the job.
Ordering was painless. Shipping was free due to the amount spent, & the shipment arrived well packed , right on schedule, & it was filled exactly as ordered.
All parts were of top quality. The brakes & drums were Dexter as described & a perfect match for my existing axle.
Thank you etrailer.com. This was my 1st order but it won't be my last.

I ordered several components to repair a damaged trailer connection. Very quick delivery...great email notification of order status...all products as advertised. I'll be back to eTrailer.com whenever I need trailer parts.

Not a water tight butt connector. Wouldn't use these!

While we dont have butt connectors designed to be water tight, we do have heat-shrink butt connectors like part # DW05744-5 as well as primary wire heat shrink tubing # DW05451. The heat shrink design is intended to help keep as much water as possible out of the wiring connection.

by:

Boy, I got my products, all well packed, the day before the three day shipping I was expecting. And a follow-up email with links to the details and instructions that I knew I would be going back to. Thanks George. Now, if you could do something about the rain . . . . .

  • Troubleshooting when Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Brake Controller Shows Overload After Driving
The OL code means that the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Brake Controller # 90885 senses an overloaded circuit on the trailer. Since the code shows on the brake controller after you've been driving for a while, it sounds like you may have a loose connection somewhere. I recommend checking the wiring connections on your trailer to ensure they are all secure. You can start with the connections at the brake assemblies, trailer connector, and lights. It is a good idea to check any other connections...

  • Attaching Circuit Breaker When Installing Brake Controller On 2001 Dodge Ram Pickup
The Curt Venturer Trailer Brake Controller, part # C51110, is designed for 1 to 3 axles. If you have either 1 or 2 axles (2-4 brake assemblies), the 20-amp circuit breaker will be fine. If you have 3 axles (6 brake assemblies), you would need a 30-amp circuit breaker. The circuit breaker attaches to the black wire coming from the brake controller and is placed between the controller and the battery power. I have linked you to a video that shows an installation of the 37185 and a circuit...

  • How to Wire a New 4-Way to a Sea Doo Trailer that Has Double Wires
Sounds like you need to redo the wiring of the new 4-way completely. Typically, the green wire runs to the right turn/stop circuit, the yellow runs to the left turn/stop circuit, the brown wire runs to the taillights and the white is the ground that runs to the trailer frame. If you have double wires or, "wishbone wires," on your trailer but the new connector only has single wires you will want to either twist the double wires together, or use a butt-end connector to run both of the wires...

  • Mounting Hardware to Install Gustafson RV LED Ceiling Light 277-000454
Gustafson RV LED Ceiling Light # 277-000454 really is a simple install: three screws for mounting it to your ceiling and two wires for connection (white for ground and black for power). You'll also need butt connectors # 05732-2 or wire nuts to connect the wires. For hardware you can take your installation lead from the screws that are holding the existing light in place. If they are wood screws, then use wood screws to install the Gustafson. If they are sheet metal screws then use that...

For your 2012 Winnebago Sprinter Itasca, I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 brake controller # 90195. This is a proportional brake controller meaning that your trailer brakes will be applied at the same time and the same intensity as you hit the brake pedal in your motorhome. This controller has an easy to read LCD screen that sets it apart from others because there is no code deciphering necessary. Due to the wiring system of your vehicle, you will need access the wires located under...

To wire your electric brakes you will want to run 10 gauge wire # 10-1-1 to one of the brakes and run it to the other brake, using butt connectors like # 05732-2 to connect them. The grounds will not be spliced, each brake assembly should have its own ground; please see the accompanying photo which is from our help article on adding electric drum brakes which I have linked for you.

It sounds like the ground on the new tail light could be bad if the left side stopped working after you installed the new light. I would double check the connections and the ground from the new light and make sure its grounded properly. If the ground is okay then you may want to check the left turn/brake wire from the fifth wheel tail lights all the way to the vehicle. Traditionally, the left turn signal/brake wire is yellow. Check the wire for any damage or frayed wire. Since the trailer...

  • How to Extend the Wiring of a LT200 Superwinch # 1120210 on a 2005 Yamaha Wolverine 350 FX
The best way to extend the wiring would be to get 10 Gauge Blue Primary Wire, part # 10-1-1, to extend the wiring and then use a 12-10 Gauge Butt Connector, part # 05732-2, to connect the wires. And then finally wrap the connection with Electrical Tape. That should give you the additional 12 inches you would need to connect your Superwinch LT2000 ATV Winch, part # 1120210, to your 2005 Yamaha Wolverine 350 FX. Be sure to crimp these connections very tight.

  • Correct Wire Gauge for Electric Trailer Brakes
Well that's unfortunate the rodents got to your wires, but you can replace it, and I recommend just going with 12 gauge wire, which is the standard wire size for electric brakes. • Wiring Tekonsha Brake Controller to 7-Way
The blue wire on a brake controller carries the trailer brake output signal. So long as the controller is getting power and the brake switch signal to trigger it into sending out brake power, then you could simply route the signal from the blue wire at the back of the controller to the pin on the 7-way that typically carries the trailer brake circuit. This simply bypasses the vehicle wiring. On an RV 7-way the brake circuit will usually be on the contact at the 5-o-clock position as you...
