Although I haven't utilized the products they appear what I ordered. The shipping was free, but took quite awhile to arrive... fortunately the electrical items to wire my trailer were not required in a real timely manner. I am excited to eventually get m;y lights and brakes wired on my custom trailer. I will befurther reviewing the helpful instructions when ready. Should be amazing, am excited.

Great, no issues at all
Pete W - 06/26/2017

My order was correct and arrived in the time frame I expected. The items purchased worked as I hoped they would and I was safely towing my boat within three hours after receiving my order.

Thanks E-trailer

Great wire for rewiring a trailer and it's available in all the correct colors to match a 7 pin RV plug. Very high quality!!

All is good and “lit” up for travel

  • Troubleshooting Brake Lights Not Working On Trailer With New LED Lights
Since you verified that the 7-way connector installed on your 2005 Nissan Frontier Diesel is working properly, and only the brake lights are not working it sounds like there is a bad ground which can cause all sorts of weird issues. If your brake lights have a ground wire to them, I recommend checking that the ground securely attached to the frame and that there is no corrosion or rust that would cause a bad connection. If the trailer has a tilt bed, folding tongue, or is aluminum running...

  • How to Create an Electrical Grounding Plate on DIY Truckbed Camper for Running Lights
The short answer to your question is, no. You're going to be best served by running your ground wires together and grounding them at a single point on the trailer using a ring terminal like the # DW05705-1 and a junction box like # 38656. Since aluminum not is a great conductor of electricity, that wouldn't be a good choice to create your grounding plate- if you can ground it to steel instead that would be optimal. If you need wiring to run all these grounds together you can use 16 gauge...

  • How Long is the Wiring from Lights to Control Box for Alpena Twin Strobz ALP77234
I put a call in to my contact over at Alpena about the Twin Strobz # ALP77234. He said that the wiring from the lights themselves to the control box is 10 feet. He also stated that a lot of people have asked that question and in order to extend that length you would need to splice in some additional wiring such as # DW02359-1 sold by the foot.

  • Grounding Trailer Lights That are Mounted to Wood Rather than Metal
If the lights you are using have wires coming out of the back like the Optronics Camping Travel Trailer Stop, Turn, Tail and Back-Up Light, part # RVST56, then you can simply connect an extension wire like part # DW02359-1 from the ground wire on the light to the trailer frame and ground the white wire from your trailer connector to the trailer tongue. If the lights you are using ground through the mounting hardware, then you can simply run a jumper wire from the post on the light that...

  • How To Run Grounds for Lights on an Aluminum Frame Trailer
It sounds like you may be wondering how to attach the grounds on your trailer because it has an aluminum frame which you have either read or experienced issues with. If that is the case then I recommend you first use a junction box like the Pollak 10-Terminal Junction Box part # PK52248. Once you have this you can then run all of your lights and trailer connector to a single ground point on the coupler with a ring terminal like the part # DW05762-1 (junction box to coupler) and extra wire...

  • Why Do Trailer Lights Flicker When Hitting Bumps
In order to fix the issue with your lights flickering you will want to pick a good spot on the trailer frame near the coupler and then run a ground wire from each of the lights as well as the trailer connector to this point. If you need to extend the wires you can use part # DW02359-1 and part # DW05744-5. Once you find a good ground point, sand the surface down, twist the wires together after you have removed part of the jacket, and then attach it to the sanded surface with part # DW05741-1...

The Clearance Light Kit part # CB-15AK has everything you will need to install cab lights on your truck. The first thing you will want to do is disconnect your vehicle's battery. • Left Turn Signal/Brake Light Circuit Not Working on 2005 Ford F-150 Trailer Connector
It sounds like the problem lies somewhere between the fuse panel and the trailer connector at the rear of the truck. You can trace the wires from the back to the front, using a circuit tester to test along the way at various points to determine if there is a damaged wire that needs to be repaired. The other option is to bypass the tow package wiring and instead connect the trailer connector left turn/brake light wire directly to the 2005 Ford F-150 left turn signal/brake light wire. You...

  • Running Ground Wire From Optronics Plug-N-Go Bracket On Non-Metal Trailer
Unfortunately, the Optronics Trailer Light, part # A67CBPG is grounded through the mounting hardware which will not work on your non-metal trailer. You can use grounding wire like part # DW02359-1 and attach it to the grounding tab on the bracket and run it to the ground you had for your old lights. You need to be aware that this bracket is designed for watertight connections and running additional wires from the bracket could compromise the watertight feature.

That will take care of the stop, tail, and turn signals for the light bar. To get the backup lights working you will need to attach the White wire to the reverse light circuit on your Tundra. You can use the quick-disconnects like part # DW01899-1 and part # DW01896-1 for the reverse light wire. For 16 gauge wire you can use part # DW02359-1. This is sold by the foot.

  • Tail/Running Lights Not Working on Trailer
You will want to start out by looking at the connector on both the trailer and your tow vehicle. Make sure there is no corrosion or debris especially on the tail/running light pins. The Tail/Running Lights will be in the 1 o'clock position on your trailer (11 o'clock on the tow vehicle side). Next to check would be the grounds. Make sure they have metal to metal contact and there isn't any rust or corrosion; the surface must be clean. If that looks good then you will want to test the...

I spoke with my contact at Tekonsha and the problem that you are experiencing is most likely caused by faulty wiring on your trailer. If your turn signal is causing the RF to act up then you will want to do some tests to see where the wiring problem is. Check to make sure that the ground on both your tow vehicle and your...

  • Recommended Wire Gauge Needed to Extend Vent Fan Power Wire to Charge Controller
To wire up your Ventline vent # VP-543SP the correct gauge wire needed is a 16 gauge like # DW02359-1. You will also want to use the 16 gauge buttconnectors like # DW05714 to connect the two wires. You definitely want this to be connected to a fused power source so if your charge controller isn't fused then on the 16 gauge wire you would want to wire in a 5amp fuse to protect the unit.

If you need a longer wire run, or if you just want to ensure full current capacity, then use 16-gauge wire. For 16-gauge black wire use part # 16-1-1; for white use part # DW02359-1. Start at your trailer plug and work your way back to your running light on the right...

This, as with the other option below, is sold by the foot and is rated for 50 volts or less. The best way to determine where to start is by checking the turn and brake signals on your truck connector with a tester like part # TR20117 which plugs right into your 7-Way. The trailer lights are on a different circuit from your truck tail lights (unless you have an older truck with a splice-in wiring kit) so it's quite possible that your truck lights are working fine but the issue still lies with your truck wiring.
