Today, we're going to take a look at the Deka battery cable crimper. Now, this tool allow you to crimp cable connectors for your battery. It is designed to work with the size 8-gauge to 4/0-gauge cables. And to get the crimper to fit the different size cables, it'll use the rotating dies right here in the head to fit the correct size that you need. There's no need to remove any parts. All you have to do is just open it up.
I'm going to zoom in here to try to show you how to move those. You can see there's the dies right in here. They have these pivot pins right here that you just push all the way down and that allow you to rotate all the way around to whatever size you're trying to match up. And then when you get it to match up to the correct size, you can rotate the other one. Once you get it to the correct size, then you can see as you push it together, it'll crimp your cable to your connector. Now, this does use 18-inch long handles, and you can see at the end of each handle, they use the insulated grips for your protection.
That should do it for the review on the Deka battery cable crimper.

Tool allows you to crimp connectors used for 8-gauge to 4/0-gauge cables.Just what I needed. We bought a boat (manufacturers name omitted) that had many large battery cables with lugs crimped on using what appeared to be slip joint pliers!! We had to properly crimp all lugs to the cables and this tool does the job.
