Video Transcript for Spectro Wiring - Tools for Wiring - 459075 Review

Today we're going to be reviewing part number 459075. This is the Plastic Wire Loom. This part number would be a length of 100 feet. Basically, this wire loom is a half inch in diameter. Again, the length is 100 feet. As you can see, it is split on one side.

Basically, what this wire loom would be used for is if you do any wiring on your trailer or vehicle, you could put all your wires inside this loom to keep them all together and also to protect any of the wires from getting nicks or cuts that might cause a short in your wiring system. Now, we also do sell a related product. If you don't need 100 feet of it, you can buy this by the foot. It's part number 459075-1. That part number would be priced per foot so you could just buy as many feet as you'd like. This part number would be the 459075, it would be the full 100 feet length of this wire loom.

That should do it for the review on part number 459075. The Plastic Wire Loom in 100 foot length. .

Rewired my trailer, wanted to add wiring protection. Wire loom is a pain in the butt, but this seems to be good stuff as far as wiring loom goes, and it's doing what it's supposed to do, which is to protect the wiring.

  • Typical 7-Way Wiring Color Codes
The wire loom part # 459075 does not actually have any wire in it, but it sounds like you are curious about the standard trailer 7-way wire colors. There are a couple variations, but for the most part the diagrams I attached show the most common trailer wiring colors.

  • What Is the Largest Wire Loom Available?
3/4" is pretty large, the closest we have to 3/4" is the Wire Loom # 459075 which has a 1/2" diameter. This loom is 100', however if you would rather use by the foot you'd want # 459075-1 instead.

  • What Size Clamp to Use for 3/8" and 1/2" Size Wire Loom
You should be able to use the same size clip as the inner diameter of the wire loom. For example, the 3/8" Diameter Wire Loom # 39035 has grooves in it that would allow you to use a 3/8" inner diameter clamp. Same thing goes for the 1/2" Wire Loom # 459075-1 or # 459075.

  • Does Tekonsha 4-Pole Wiring Harness 118786 Fit 2018 Jeep JL Wrangler
Tekonsha's Fit Guide confirms wiring harness # 118786 as a fit for your 2018 Jeep JL Wrangler. You can double-check before ordering if you like by comparing the included photo that shows one of the harness' custom connectors to the connectors at your Wrangler's tail lights. Installation should take about an hour or less and you can refer to the linked wiring installation article and video for guidance. I recommend adding protective wire loom # 459075-1 to your install; this is sold by...

  • How to Install Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Brake Controller on a 2015 Volkswagen Touareg TDI
The factory plug for installing the Prodigy P2 # 90885 on your 2015 Volkswagen Touareg TDI should be located under the vehicle's dash on the driver's side close to the door. You will need to acquire the following from your Volkswagen dealer to perform the install: 1 connector housing (#1J0-972-782) and 2 wire/terminal assemblies (#000-979-228). I have attached a photo of where the connector is located as well as a helpful article and an installation video of us installing the P2 with the...

  • Will the 1/2 Inch Metal Loom Clamps Work On a 5/16 Inch Frame Rail
Yes, the Metal Loom Clamp part # A0500 will work on a trailer frame that is 5/16" thick. The Metal Loom Clamp will actually work on pretty much any frame thickness but you will need to make note of the size screw used. I recommend the Hex Screw part # 101131802 for a 5/16" thick frame as it is 1/2" long. The Wire Loom part # 459075 can then be added to protect your wiring. I have attached a list of our other wiring accessories for you below as well.

  • Can the Power Wire on Trailer Wiring Harness # 118498 be Routed Inside of a 2011 Toyota Sienna
There are a couple of options for routing the power wire for Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring, # 118498. Since you want to keep it out of the elements, you can either route the wire through the frame or route it through the cab of the vehicle. If you want to route it through the frame, you will need a long and rigid piece of wire, push it through the inside of the frame from the front of the vehicle to the back, tie the power wire to the end, then pull the rigid wire back through. • Can Wire Loom be Used to Protect Wiring from Sun Damage
Wire loom like the # 7509-10 that you referenced is a great way to help protect wiring. This kit is 10 feet long and 1/4 inch in diameter. If you need bigger we have 1/2 inch diameter loom sold by the foot as part # 459075-1.

  • Compatibility Of 1/2 Inch Loom Clamps With 3/8 Inch Loom
Yes, you can use Metal Loom Clamp - 1/2" # A0500 with Wire Loom 3/8" Diameter # 39035. It will secure the loom to your frame but it will not clamp tightly around it. If you want a tight fit at the clamps you can use 3/4" x 60' Electrical Tape to close the loom at that location and make it your desired thickness for clamping. If you want a perfect fit, I recommend the Wire Loom, 1/2" Diameter (per Foot) # 459075-1.

  • What is the Best Size Wire Loom for Bonded 4 Wire and One 12 Gauge Wire
I would go with a 3/8 inch diameter, like # 39035. That should provide enough space for the wires and still give good coverage. This loom comes in a 10 foot length. If you needed less of expect that you might have other wiring to run with the existing wires, you can go to a 1/2 inch loom, sold in 1 foot increments, # 459075-1.

  • Can Steel Light Mounting Box be Used to Mount Lights High Up On a 2004 Sunseeker Motor Home
You would be able to tell pretty quick if the walls can support the lights and housing with just screws. Otherwise some type of anchor would be required like you would use in drywall. The difficulty of running the wires to the desired location is going to depend on how much room there is behind the walls to route the wiring. Otherwise you could route it on the outside of the trailer and use something to protect the wires, like loom # 459075 painted to match the exterior of the trailer...

  • Recommended Wire Loom for Parallel Multi Conductor Wire
For the # SWC4332-1 you can use the Wire Loom, 1/2" Diameter (per Foot) # 459075-1. This is sold by the foot so you can get exactly what you need. Since I'm guessing you don't want to drill into your galvanized frame, I would try zip ties to keep it secure.

  • Recommended Wiring And Trailer Light Kit For Harbor Freight Trailer
Since you said you want to re-wire your entire trailer I recommend the Optronics Submersible Trailer Light Kit, part # TL5RK. The mounting hardware is also included with this kit. I have also attached a link to an installation video for this wiring kit you can check out.

  • Installing Tekonsha Primus # TK90160 Brake Controller on 2014 Chevy Suburban
The 2014 Suburban doesn't use a plug like the 2014 Silverado 1500 does, it will wire directly into the tow package wiring like the 2008-2013 GM trucks did. If you look at the FAQ article I've linked you to, you can see the Primus would wire up to the tow package wiring located under the dash. I've also linked you to an install video showing a controller being installed on a 2008 GMC Yukon. Although the vehicle is different, the install procedure would be just about identical. • T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness for 2019 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited
The Wiring Harness # 118416 that you are looking at is for the 2007-2018 Jeep Wranglers. For your 2019 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited you will need the Wiring Harness # 118786. The taillight connections are new for your Jeep. We do have a great video linked below of this harness being installed on your Jeep. I recommend getting some Wire Loom # 459075-1 and a Mounting Bracket # 18144 for a clean factory looking installation.

There isn't a longer version of bracket # A67BB but what you could do is use some wire loom, such as # 459075-1, to hide/protect the wire. Or you could likely find a small diameter plastic tube that you could cut in have (lengthwise) to get a semi-circle to extend the length of the bracket.

  • Can 12V Source Other than Battery Be Used When Installing Trailer Harness On 2017 Lexus NX
The problem with attaching the 12V hot wire to any 12V plug or accessory in the vehicle is that the plug you found may be on a circuit with another item in your Lexus. You really want to make sure the wiring harness is on a circuit by itself. That way it protect the vehicle electrical system if anything happens like damage or a short. There is an inline fuse with the # 118652 harness that protects the converter and the wiring. I do not recommend using any 12V source other than the battery...

The wire would run behind the side kick plate, and under the door thresholds to the rear cargo area. From there, it would run behind the side trim panel in the cargo...

There are a few solutions I can think of. First I will list some parts that you may find useful then explain some of the ideas I had. We offer a weather proof junction box, part # 38656, that would allow people to make hardwire connections without cutting your 4-pole connector off. We do not carry any heavy coated wire, but we do carry wire loom that might make cutting a bit more difficult like part # 459075-1. The best solution for preventing cutting I could think of is using flexible...
