Still working after 1 year. No issues.

by:

They work great and there waterproof excellent product.

by:

Worked great!

by:

easy way to tie in new break-a-way brake controller

by:

I use these for repairing and installing new trailer wires. Waterproof sealant works great keeping moisture out of connection and preventing corrosion.

by:

Nothing special. It works as expected.

It
does not however match the OEM style on my trailers where both of the lighting wires are "inside" the connector but only one is spliced to the lamp wire.

by:

Nice idea for waterproof connector, check your wire size/gage on the trailer side before ordering mine was too large to fit this connector.

by:

Fast shipping and great product. Easy to install on my boat trailer. Really helps with making connections. Will test the longevity of this product over the next several years. But overall very pleased, and etrailer is a wonderful company.

  • Connector For Attaching T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # TK35VR To Power Connector 2022 Tesla Model 3
Yes, the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # TK35VR is confirmed to fit on your 2022 Tesla Model 3. While we do not have a separate connector like the one included with Stealth Hitches Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver w/ Towing Kit # 391TES317T you found on Youtube. You can use a Self-Stripping Connector # SWC501746-1 to tie into the wiring behind the connector as long as you do have the connector on your Tesla. Not all the Model 3's have this connector so you will want to verify to determine if...

  • Converting 4-Way of 2001 Toyota Tundra to 5-Way to Tow Boat Trailer with Surge Brakes
We have a solution to convert your 4-way to a 5-way so that your reverse lockout solenoid can activate but we don't have a plug and play style of adapter. Instead your best option is a 4-way to 5-way adapter part # 20036 which plugs into your current 4-way and then gives you an additional wire you'd run to the reverse light circuit of your truck. You can use a quick splice connector part # SWC501746-1 to tap into the circuit easily.

  • Installing Yellow Wire of Curt C57674 Adapter for Trailer Reverse Lockout on Surge Coupler
The reverse lamps for the 2021 Toyota Highlander are in the liftgate, so the best bet would be to find the harness feeding the taillights and use a circuit tester like # PTW2993. Unfortunately, I don't have specifics on where the harness is located or the wire colors, but this is pretty easy to figure out. The harness typically runs behind the bulkheads in the cargo area and will usually run up to the top of the liftgate in the pillar next to it. Once you locate the harness, the first...

  • 4-Way Trailer Wiring Extension Recommendation to Allow Flat Towed Vehicle & Trailer Behind Vehicle
What you'll need is a long 4-way extension spliced into the 4-way you have at the back of the RV. For that you'd want to use the part # HM48235 which is 120 inches long. You'd need to cut off the one end and then use quick splice connectors like # SWC501746-1 to connect to the RV wiring. This will allow the 4-way to operate the CR-V taillights and then you'd be able to route the jumper wire to the back of the CR-V where you can then plug it into your trailer.

  • Availability of Waterproof Connector for Side Marker Light Wiring on Boat Trailer
In order to splice into the wire and add yellow side marker lights like the # MCL13A2B I recommend using the Self-Stripping Connector with Waterproof Sealant # SWC501746-1. This is designed to make a quick connection without cutting or stripping, and uses a waterproof sealant to help prevent corrosion. It is designed for marine use. I would also recommend wrapping the connection in electrical tape for extra protection.

  • Can a Third Brake Light Be Added to a Trailer
To add a third brake light to a trailer is pretty simple, but does require an adapter to convert the signal. Because trailer tail light systems combine the stop lamp and turn signals for each side onto a single circuit, you will need to use a vehicle-to-vehicle tail light converter, part # 118158 to split the brake light circuit back out. The white wire on the input side of the converter would ground to the trailer frame, the green input wire would tap into the right turn circuit on...

  • What's Needed To Add Reverse Light Function To Curt Adapter 57676 On 2021 Kia Telluride?
You've got it. You'll need to run some # 16-1-1 from the blue wire on the Curt 4-way to 7-way adapter # C96KR (57676) to the reverse light circuit on your 2021 Kia Telluride. A circuit tester like # PTW2993 will help you to find the correct wire to splice into with a quick splice # SWC501746-1.

  • How to Activate Reverse Light Circuit of 7-Way Adapter part # 37185
In most situations a reverse light circuit isn't needed when using the 4-way to 7-way adapter part # 37185. But if you do need to activate this circuit you'll want to run the purple wire of the adapter to the reverse light circuit of the vehicle and use a quick splice like # SWC501746-1 to tap into it and you'd be set. You'd need to use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to test the wires that run to the reverse light to find the correct wire to use.

  • Wiring Reverse Light Circuit to 7 Way Connector on 2016 GMC Terrain
The center pin of a 7-way is typically the reverse light circuit. You'd need to tap into the reverse light circuit of your 2016 GMC Terrain to activate it. For a quick splice for 14-18 gauge wire you'd want # SWC501746-1 or for 10-12 gauge wire # SWC501915-1. I'd recommend strongly that you run the 12 volt power wire back to the positive post of the battery and not to a 12 volt outlet to prevent shorting out that circuit.

  • Recommended Wiring and Lights for Utility Trailer
I'm assuming you want to replace everything here so I will start off with a 4-way. I recommend using the Hopkins Endurance 4-Way Flat Trailer Wiring Harness - 30' Long # HM48265. This will give you a lot of wire to work with so you can hook up all of your lights. This uses your typical 18 gauge wire for the lights and 16 gauge for the ground. If you need additional wire you can use the # SWC97FR or # DW02923-1. You could use the Self-Stripping Connector with Waterproof Sealant - 14-18...

  • Do All 7 Circuits of 7-Way Need to be Ran When Installing Brake Controller
So the first thing you should note is that if you don't need a reverse light circuit or an accessory circuit you don't have to complete those wires. You can leave those off for most situations. Normally the 12 volt power wire runs to the positive post of the vehicle battery with 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 (sold by the foot) through a breaker like part # 9510 and then the reverse light circuit runs to the reverse lights of the vehicle tapped in with a quick splice like part # SWC501746-1....

  • Wiring Location to Connect a Brake Controller to a 2017 GMC Acadia
The stop light switch wiring is located behind your brake pedal on your 2017 GMC Acadia. See the picture for a visual. If you are having trouble locating the wire you can use a Circuit Tester # PTW2993 to find out which wire sends a signal when the brake is depressed. You can use a Quick Splice Wire Connector # SWC501746-1 or a Butt Connector # DW05714 to connect the red wire from your brake controller to the stop light switch wire on your Acadia.

  • Turn Signals On 2019 Ford F-350 Flat Bed Still Flash with Load Resistors Installed
The two most common issues with resistors like part # DI34ZR are incorrect installation and the quick splice connectors not having enough contact with the circuit. I have attached for you below the correct wiring diagram for a load resistor but make sure you have the correct wires beforehand by testing with a circuit tester. • Recommended Trailer Wiring Harness for a Boat Trailer
The Optronics 25 foot 4 Way Wire Harness # A25W2GWB will be a good option. This will generally have enough length to cover most trailers. I will also recommend adding in a few of the Spectro Self-Stripping Connector with Waterproof Sealant # SWC501746-1. These will make splicing into the # A25W2GWB significantly easier. Especially for your side marker lights.
