This meets the Department of Transportation Coast Guard's specifications for electrical and gasoline fuel systems and insulated to meet UL and Coast Guard requirements.This is sold by the foot here at Etrailer.com. I did strip back the wiring or the jacket a little bit so you can see internally. You can see that we have three wires in there. We have a white wire, black and green.
Wire gauge is 16. Maximum power rating is 600 volts and the operating temperature is 105 degrees Celsius dry to 75 degrees Celsius wet. And all that information is printed right here on the jacket, on the outer portion of the jacket that goes around the internal wiring there. We do have a 16 gauge wire that has a black sheath. I have gotten in contact with the manufacturer, and they have confirmed that part # 16-1-1 is used for boat applications as well. They are not necessarily made for boats, but it is insulated to where you can use it for marine applications.
