Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at this 12 volt GreatWhite surface mount LED utility light with the clear lens. Now, this is a nice low profile utility light that'll illuminate an area with a nice, bright white light. It is a GreatWhite series, which features the custom cut optics and ultra bright white LEDs for increased light output. And the LEDs will make great replacements for incandescent lights because they'll last 50 times longer.
They're more efficient because they provide better light with less power output. And there's no bulbs to replace or brittle filaments to break. If you notice the light is in this nice durable black plastic base. And then, the light has a nice, clear acrylic lens. That clear lenses over 16 white LEDs.
This light is compatible with 12 volt and 24 volt DC systems. It is designed to mount to the trailer surface and the hardware is not included. This also can be taken out of the base and it can be recessed mount also.If you notice on the back of the light, it has a two wire pigtail, which includes the black power lead and the white ground wire. What I'm going to do at the end of this video is hook this up to some 12 volt power. Just to show you how bright this light is.A few specs on this.
We're going to measure the dimensions on it. Overall length from one end to the other. It's going to be right at six and three eighths inches long. Width of it is only about one and one sixteenths inches wide. And the depth on it is right about five eighths inches deep.
Now, the distance between the mounting holes right here on the back of the bracket center to center, it's right at five and a half inches.So what we're going to do is go ahead and hook this up to some power. Take a white wire and hook that up to the ground. Take our black wire. Hook that up to the power. And then, again, once we get that all hooked up, we'll go ahead and turn on our power. And you can see with your power on and there's your 16 white LEDs. We'll go ahead and turn off the overhead lights. You can see how bright of a utility like this is. Very bright light gives off. Go ahead and turn back on our overhead lights. Turn off our power. Disconnect it.But that should do it for the review on this 12 volt GreatWhite surface mount LED utility light with the clear lens.

Ordered these to add as lights inside my Decked truck bed cargo system. Work great. Note: To wire this up for a Decked cargo box inside light, you can either do a waterproof toggle switch, or go with a magnetic switch like you would use for an alarm system. I did the latter. You can tap into your bed lighting or to a constant 12vdc at the trailer harness. The magnet switches are set so that the lights turn on when I pull a drawer open, and off when I shut it. Attached some photos to show what they look like
Easy to install. Used this to add lighting inside my Decked Drawer system - 2x per drawer.

Worked as advertised and was easy to in stall
The light itself is great! It would work better if there was a deeper recess on the bottom where it mounts to the trailer. This would help conceal the wiring and extend the light toward the rear of the trailer to better illuminate the license plate.
Have actually used used these in different setups. 2 enclosed trailers, a 10' long and 22 ' long. Also used 2 for pickup truck bed lighting mounted under the rails of a tonneau cover.
they have worked very well
This was a great replacement for the original lic plate light. I did have to drill one new hole because the new light base was a tad wider than the original base. The wiring was very simple: hot and ground and it worked like a champ.
Used to replace corroded incandescent back-up lights on trailer, these work great, easy to wire in, great illumination.
Getting ready to put this 2nd set into my trailer. Tied them right into the cheap ceiling lights and really brightened it up inside.
