Jeff: Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at this 12 volt surface mount LED utility light, with the mounting bracket, the clear lens and blue LEDs. Now this is a nice low-profile utility light, that illuminated an area with the bright blue light. Does use LEDs, which make great replacements for incandescent lights. They last about 50 times longer. They're more efficient because they provide better light with less power output.
And of course no bulbs to replace, no brittle filaments to break. This does come with this nice durable white plastic base, that you can mount it in. And the light itself comes with a nice acrylic lens. And if you notice it as a clear lens, over 16 blue LEDs, and at the end of this video, I am going to hook this up to some power, just to show you how bright it is and the color of it.Now, this slide is compatible with 12 volt and 24 volt DC systems. It is designed to mount to a trailer surface.
Now the hardware is not included, but you can take it out of this bracket and it can be recess mounted if need be. If you notice on the back, it has the two wire pigtail, which includes the white ground wire and the blue power wire. A few specs on this. We're going to measure the overall length from one end to the other. It's going to be right at six and three eighths inches long.
Height of it, it's about one in one sixteenths inches tall. And the total depth is right at about five eights inches deep. Also the distance between the mounting holes. You can see there's a mounting hole on each end. Distance center to center on the mounting holes, it's right at five and a half inches. So again, what we're going to do is go ahead and hook this up.
Take our ground wire, hook that up to a good clean ground, hook our power wire up. And then we'll go ahead and turn on our 12 volt power and you can see what the 12 volt power and there's the blue LEDs. I'll go ahead and turn off the over lights, so you can see how bright they are and the blue color that they do give off. Go ahead and turn back on our overhead lights. Turn off our power. But that should do it for the review on this 12 volt surface mount LED utility light, with the bracket, clear lens, and the blue LEDs.
