Expert Answers about Chevrolet Exhaust Tips

  • Cat-Back Exhaust System Recommendation for 2018 Chevy Colorado
  • Exhaust tips like the MagnaFlow 4" Exhaust Tip # MF35212 are purely decorative. They would not change the sound at all. You'd need to go with a cat-back system like the part # MF19018 if you wanted to change the sound. This also comes with a nicer looking exhaust tip too. It will increase performance as well. I realize as a gift this might be a bit pricey, but maybe he's your favorite son... This fits all of the gas engine versions of the 2018 Chevy Colorado as well.

  • Would Bully Round Resonated Bolt-on Exhaust Tip # PM-5104 Fit 2013 Chevy Camaro V6
  • The Bully Round Resonated Bolt-on Exhaust Tip # PM-5104 is designed to fit on pipes with an out diameter that's between 1-3/4 inches and 2-1/2 inches. This would easily be compatible with the factory tailpipes of your Camaro. It won't really affect exhaust tone to a significant degree. Since you don't have mufflers currently this might lower the sound level a tiny bit but realistically you probably wouldn't notice it.

Since you don't way to change your exhaust setup another option would be a cold air intake like the Airaid CAD part # AR200-186. This removes the baffles or "mufflers" on the intake side of the motor that work to keep the sound of the engine down. It also will free up some extra horsepower as well.

  • Replacement Muffler for a 2000 Chevy Blazer to Increase Sound Output
  • An exhaust tip like the part # MF35212 would certainly look good on your 2000 Chevy Blazer, but it isn't going to change the sound of your exhaust. For that you would need to replace your current muffler with something like the # MF11215 as this will increase the sound quite a bit since it is a straight through muffler. The inlet and outlet of the muffler is 2-1/4 inches which will match what you have on your vehicle's exhaust. You would want to have a muffler shop cut out your current...
