To determine the best choice of MORryde StepAbove RV steps for your 2016 Coachmen Apex Travel Trailer you need to have the threshold height measurement and the doorway width. With your travel trailer arranged on a flat surface, deployed as you will normally when camping, measure from the doorway threshold on your camper to the ground. The width of the step is not the only reason you need to be within the specified range, the keeper which holds the steps inside the door must be taken into consideration as well which is why you cannot go with a narrower step like the one for 21-3/4" to 22-1/4" doorways. view full answer...
A clicking motor on your Tread Lite Electric Double Steps # LC353543 or # LC353621 is indicative there is an issue with the motor not sensing the proper amperage at the end of the extension cycle, which is what tells it to shut off when it is finished extending.
So the best option is going to be to replace the motor with the Replacement Motor for Lippert Tread Lite Powered RV Steps # LC183058.

Sounds like the motor is bad then if the module and wiring is good. I looked up your Apex by Coachmen qb24 and it appears to have a double step setup below the door so for a 24 inch wide double step with 7-7/8 inches of drop between the steps our best option is the Flexco Manual Step part # SMFP-2100.
