It is easiest (for me!) to think of engine intakes, exhausts, resonators, etc. as parts of the vehicle "respiratory" system. After all, in a way an engine is simply an air pump; it "inhales" air and "exhales" exhaust. Changing any part of this system will tend to either increase or reduce the engine's ability to mix air and fuel.
Power and torque are a result of air/fuel combustion and a new exhaust for instance that allows the engine to more freely release exhaust can allow better combustion... view full answer...

What you're experiencing is fairly common but certainly fixable. The exhaust system at the rear of the car is attached to the vehicle using rubber isolators and easily bendable exhaust hangers. Because of this, the actual position of the exhaust system can vary a bit from vehicle to vehicle. When the # 76419 hitch is installed, its position will not vary from vehicle to vehicle. The large tolerances in the exhaust system is what can allow the rattle to occur. In other words, it's not the... view full answer...

The MagnaFlow 4-Inch Resonator Exhaust Tip # MF35212 is designed primarily to enhance the exterior appearance of the exhaust. It is not designed to reduce the vehicle interior noise level, which will mostly be related to the type of exhaust installed - a quieter chambered type or a more throaty straight-through type.
