Yes, they will fit. When measuring the door way, you will measure from the widest part on the inside of the door frame to the opposite sides widest part of the door frame. The 3 step versions of the Lippert steps like the part # LC432687 are wider than most of the 2 steps like what you have. The difference in width is not unusual unfortunately.

You are correct. The Scissor Steps # SS03 that you referenced could easily be removed from the mounting bracket that gets attached to the RV or wherever you mount it.
Basically you install the mounting bracket and then hook the stairs on the hook and then when you want to remove them you lift them off the hook. view full answer...
