For a 30-Amp service RV with the Progressive Dynamics Mighty Mini AC/DC Panel and Converter/Smart Charger, # PD4045KA installed, I recommend the 1,000 Watts - 12V Progressive Dynamics Pure Sine Wave Inverter w/ Transfer Switch & Remote, # PD94FR. I really like the build quality of the Progressive Dynamics products and this component has an integrated transfer switch that will automatically change from inverter to shore power when you hook up to a power pedestal at the campground. The fixed-mount... view full answer...
For RV application I prefer the Go Power brand of products. If your camper is pre-wired from Jayco I believe they are using the same brand. There is typically two options available in pre-wired from the factory for "solar ready" either using a portable solar connector on the side of the RV or they have installed a Go Power cable entry plate on the roof. You will need to first determine the energy demands being placed on your batteries. If you will only be running the outdoor mini fridge... view full answer...
The Go Power Weekender ISW RV Solar Charging System 34282183 is a step down from the Go Power Solar Elite Charging System # 34282184 that you were previously recommended. The Weekender will come with a 1,500 watt inverter, transfer switch, solar controller and 190 watt solar panel. An inverter remote panel and solar control panel will allow you to monitor the power usage.
You will need a Progressive Dynamics Inteli-Power RV Converter and Battery Charger # PD49RR to charge your Lithium... view full answer...
Hey Dave, thanks for reaching out!
You don't need to add a controller for each panel, just as long as your controller is rated for the power of all of your panels. For example, the etrailer Solar Expansion Kit # e72PR is rated for 195 watts so two of them can be used with our Controller # e42PR which is rated for 390 watts at 12V. view full answer...
Hi Matt,
Solar power doesn't directly power anything and instead just recharges a battery bank. With how solar panels and batteries are right now you will not be able to power an air conditioner for more than an hour or two and would need a decent size battery bank to even accomplish that. Residential solar panel systems typically have a ton of panels and cover the majority of the roof in order to offer a substantial amount of power. RV's typically don't have enough space for the battery... view full answer...
Hello Steven. We do offer a cover that will be a great fit for your 2023 Grand Design Reflection 303RLS 5th wheel. For that I recommend the Adco Olefin HD RV Cover # AD49ZR. This cover is made for 5th wheels between 31' and 24' long, so with your 5th wheel being about 32.75' long, this cover will fit like a glove.
As far as the solar panels, we do not offer any storage covers that will allow the solar panel to catch a charge. The cover is made to keep sunlight out, so a cutout for a solar... view full answer...
Hey Dominic, thanks for reaching out!
The best way to determine if your converter can handle lithium batteries is to check the specs on it. I unfortunately don't know what came on your 2023 Jayco Melbourne, but if you aren't able to figure the compatibility out, just let me know the model of converter you have and I can see if it's something we would know (provided we carry that converter).
If your powering equipment is rated for lithium batteries then your alternator will be just fine.

You are correct the 6332 model Magnetek converter is not compatible with Lithium batteries. To upgrade to a lithium battery system you will need to replace the entire power center with the Progressive Dynamics RV Power Control Center item # PD4135K. This unit has up to 4 branch circuits and 7 DC fuse ports to handle all the electrical needs of your RV.
I have linked a help article below that will walk you through setting up a solar powered system that will suit your specific needs. I recommend... view full answer...
It's a common misconception that solar panels can directly power equipment or appliances. Solar panels actually just collect power and transfer it to a battery. The Goal Zero Yeti 400 Solar Generator - 110 Volt # 287-23000 you were looking at is basically just a battery that has multiple connections to power different appliances. This system would be totally separate from your RV's electrical system and would require you to plug anything you plan on running into the generator. The generator... view full answer...
Hey Rachel,
I recommend picking up the etrailer RV Cover # e24VV for your 2020 Lance 1985 Travel Trailer. This is a new addition to our cover offerings here at etrailer and according to our research it offers some of the best protection on the market which is why I recommend going with it.
This will also fit just fine with your solar panels. The only time solar panels would be an issue is if they were sticking up past the height of your air conditioner(s).

For your camper with 4 6v AGM & 2 12v house batteries, I recommend taking a look at the:
-Go Power Overlander Solar Charging System with Digital Solar Controller # 34282181.
This system includes a 200 watt solar panel, a digital solar controller, MC4 cables, and installation hardware.
Additionally, this solar panel measures 59-1/8" long x 26-5/16" wide x 1-1/2" deep, and weighs 26-lbs.

Since this is just a maintenance charge in storage you can use the OptiMate Solar Duo Portable Solar Panel with Controller # MA56JR. The solar cable is 80" long, the controller cable is 40" and then the battery clamp/ring terminal leads are 20". If you need more you can pick up a 2-pole extension to run it out farther. The only ones we carry are 12" long like the # HM47965 so you will probably need to grab that somewhere else. The panel can be mounted directly on the back or you can use... view full answer...
Hi Matt; it is possible you will need additional cables. However, I can't be 100% sure without knowing the location this additional panel will be installed and what your current setup looks like. The Go Power Overlander Expansion Kit # 34282182 includes the MC4 expansion branch connectors so if they're close enough together you may be able to reach the entry plate and make the connection. If they're going to be a good distance apart you can expect to need the 3' # 34274672 or even the 10'... view full answer...
Hello William. So yes, the 10 amp you are seeing does indicate the max amperage it can handle for a solar panel. The Go Power portable solar systems use the SAE and XLR-style solar plugs which is what Furrion uses. Since your circuit is rated for 10 amps I recommend the Go Power Portable Solar Panel with Digital Solar Controller # 34282730 which comes with a 130 watt panel and has an output of 6.74 amps. view full answer...
Mike, no the Redarc In-Vehicle BCDC Trailer Battery Charger # RED36TR does not come with a solar panel. This can be used with a solar panel though - you'd just need to connect the power wire on the solar panel to the yellow wire on the BCDC charger, and then the other wire on your panel would be your ground. view full answer...
Hey Kyle,
The etrailer Solar Charging System with Digital Solar Controller # e59FV is going to include the solar panels, mounting brakcets/hardware, wiring to run from the panels to the controller and from the controller to the battery, and a solar charge controller. The brackets come with butyl tape but you'll want to pick up 3 tubes of self-leveling sealant # 34427034145-1 to properly cover the mounting screws and prevent any water from leaking into the roof. To run your cables down... view full answer...
Hey Mike, so the dimensions of your solar panels are close enough to what the Goal Zero Boulder Solar Panel Travel Case part # 287-92100 was designed to fit so it would work well for you. view full answer...
Hi Clay,
The Furrion Solar Port Inlet # FSPINS-BS by itself is not something that needs a charge controller, though often the solar panels that plug into it have their own controller, like the Go Power Portable Solar Panel with Digital Solar Controller # 34282729. view full answer...
We have the Go Power Overlander Expansion Kit # 34282182 which will work great with your current Go Power solar controller and will give you an additional 190 watt/9.57 amp solar panel. It comes with the needed connectors to allow for an easy install as well. view full answer...
