The Putco Tailgate Cap part # P53614P installs using self tapping screws which are included for you. They install on the inside of the tailgate so they won't be as visible. As you mentioned in your question, the Putco Truck Bed Rail Protective Skins # P59527 easily installs using pre-applied 3M tape on the trim pieces. I checked with Putco and they state that once the skin is in place it cannot be moved or removed without causing damage to the part. With this in mind you will not be able to take the piece off and re-install it at a later time.
