A collapsable sewer hose support will absolutely still give you adequate drainage even if it is not fully extended,.
I do strongly recommend a high-quality support system such as the Sidewinder RV Sewer Hose Support System # CAM43051 which extends 20' and collapses to 12-1/2", measuring 9-3/4" tall and sloping down to 6-3/4" tall from beginning to end, regardless of if it is extended or not. The Sidewinder Support System works with standard 3" sewer hoses and has snap-fit hinges which... view full answer...
What I strongly recommend instead that will fix your problem is the Flush King Reverse Flush Valve for RV Holding Tanks and Sewer Hoses - 3" Diameter # F02-4350 because it is designed for the exact problem you are having. It will flush the hoses so the waste water does not stay the "T" on your photo. It would require you to hook up a hose, Flushing Hose for RV Sewer System # W01-4180 (15 feet) or # W01-4300 (25 feet) but would be the remedy to your issue.

The Lippert Waste Master RV Sewer Hose # LC359724 is constructed with an exterior helical coil that lets it extend from its compressed length of 5-feet up to its 20-foot maximum length. The interior white surface of the 3-inch diameter hose is smooth, but if not extended fully the exterior coils will cause the interior to have small circular bumps. The linked photo will help you see what I refer to. The more extended the hose is, the smoother the interior surface will be. view full answer...
UV rays and extreme heat are tough on any materials, even ones made specifically for the outdoor environment. I would say that nearly four years of trouble-free service from your RhinoEXTREME RV sewer hose # CAM39861 is pretty good considering your severe environment. This is their heaviest-duty sewer hose.

The screws included with the Valterra RV Sewer Hose Carrier # A04-5094BK are #14 x 1" self-tapping screws and would require either a 10mm or 3/8" socket in order to drive them into the trailer frame. Since these are self-tapping you would not need to drill out a hole first for the screw to bite through. If you wanted to go with a beefier screw you can pick up additional ones at your local hardware store. view full answer...

If you don't have that, you can still use the Flush Valve # F02-4350 but you'll want to be sure to limit the water flow going in so you don't have a real mess. But really, this is best used with black water tanks that have monitors which tell you how full it is.
This will work for you unless your... view full answer...
