If you check out the picture I attached for the JT Strong Arm T-Handle Tightening Tool # LC314602 you can see how it can wrap around the T-handle of the Strong Arms. With it in the position that you see you'd use your hand on the other end of the handle to twist the lever. view full answer...
If you refer to page 2 of the linked instructions for Draw-Tite 2-Inch Hitch # 76227 you'll be able to see a complete list of the tools needed for installing it. Most of the items are basic hand tools and the one special item, a torque wrench, can often be borrowed or rented from a local auto supply shop. I also linked an article and an install video showing a 2016 model year Outback. view full answer...
The Lend-a-Hand # AM-300 folds by simply pulling up on the handle and folding it to one side or the other. There are no tools or bolts necessary. view full answer...
To drive the hex drive of the Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch # DL11001 does not require a special tool to do so. What you need is just a 5/8 socket which you most likely already have and you'd be set. view full answer...
The top support portion of the Cable Lock and Hitch Lock for Kuat Transfer 1 Bike Rack # ATSCLK11011 is indeed made of plastic. I can't say definitively if a thief can quickly break it off with a hand tool as that's not something we try, but it is indeed mostly a deterrent.
For something that doesn't have the same type of lock that can be broken off, RockyMounts has a cable lock that can't be removed with a hand tool, and would be difficult to cut due to its hardened steel, 5/16" width... view full answer...
On Optronics LED RV Interior Light # RVILL34 grab the lens and squeeze in while at the same time pulling it away from the center and a little upward. Once the lenses are removed you will have access to the LED boards and the mounting screws holding the light assembly to the surface its mounted to.
I do not recommend using any tools to remove the lenses for a couple of reasons. First, if using a tool it focuses the force applied to a smaller area than your hand. And second with a tool... view full answer...
It's incredibly difficult to move a Sidewinder hitch like # RP34FR by hand and there isn't a tool to adjust it.
Unfortunately is wasn't made to move by hand and I wouldn't recommend using any type of tool to hit it. view full answer...
To put together the Surco spare tire mount cargo carrier # SPSJ4319 you will just need basic hand tools like screwdrivers, wrenches/sockets, and that is really about it. To mount it you will need to use the tire tool to take the lug nuts off of the spare tire. Other than that there are no special tools needed for installation. I have included a couple of video links on this carrier for you. view full answer...
I spoke with my contact over at Timbren and he said there isn't a torque value for the hardware when installing kit # TFR1504E. He said to just tighten them until snug using regular hand tools. I know that is very subjective but tight using hand tools is what to shoot for. view full answer...
Yes, the hitch pin for the Rhino-Rack 2 Bike Rack # RRRBC045 is threaded. You could hand tighten it an not use tools but to get the full effect of the anti-rattle capabilities you would use a tool to tighten and remove the pin. I have linked a video review of this rack for you. view full answer...
The Curt front hitch part # C31033 is a confirmed fit and does not require specialized tools to install. If you have most basic hand tools you'd be set. I attached a picture that I took from the install instructions that shows the tools required. view full answer...
Fuses can sometimes be difficult to remove by hand. Typically a set of needle nose pliers allows them to come out the easiest. Or sometimes there's a tool that's in the fuse box that's designed for this as well. view full answer...
The ramp on Flint Hill Goods cargo carrier # FHG77ZR can be removed with regular hand tools. It isn't difficult but would require tools. This is the case with all the carriers with ramps. None of them are particularly difficult but they do all require tools to remove the ramps such as box end wrenches or crescent wrenches. view full answer...
The Husky Center Line Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control - Trunnion - 8,000 lbs GTW, 800 lbs TW # HT32217 if under adjusted will need to have the spring bar brackets lifted. I've attached the installation instructions that include the diagrams as well as the following steps:

The Pin # DL205246 is what must be removed to swap the Hex Shaft # DL406102 onto your Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch # DL10976. I recommend using a press tool to remove the pin rather than tapping out with a hammer. A press tool like a motorcycle chain removal tool would work best for this situation and you will need to remove the pully to gain access to the shaft to be able to press the pin fully out.
If the pin is damaged during removal you will want to replace it with a new Pin # DL205246... view full answer...
The Heated Travel Blanket with Built In Timer # PT37ZR is not machine washable and would require you safely hand-wash it to prevent damage to the electrical components. view full answer...
The Glacier Twist Link Snow Tire Chains with Cam Tighteners - 1 Pair # PWH2219SC will come with the L-shaped cam tightening tool pictured and used in the attached video.
If you ever lose it or just want a spare on hand, you can use the Replacement Cam Tightening Tool for Pewag and Glacier Snow Tire Chains - Light Trucks # PW204LT or the T-shaped # TCTH2. view full answer...
Yes, your wheel and tire size is perfectly fine to use with the Roadmaster Tow Dolly part # RM-2050-1 that you referenced. At one point Roadmaster listed this as only fitting up to 16 inch wheels but we've found that's not true currently. The vehicle in the review video I attached has much bigger wheels than that. view full answer...
