When installing new Rubber Wiper Seal and Bulb for RV Slide Out, # SR48FR, remove the old adhesive using a putty knife or other tool with an edge to scrap. If you use a metal tool sometimes heating it will assist in the scrapping and removal. The use of mineral spirits is frequently a good way to get the sealant’s adhesive to release.
Once your parts are replaced, if you reapply new sealant be certain to use the correct product. Self-leveling sealant is designed to level out as you... view full answer...
Yes it will accept PVC adhesive, the felt backing will soak it up and help create a strong connection/bond. The adhesive has a longer life span than butyl tape and it is cleaner than using caulk or other sealants.
It will need to be treated with paint or an adhesive on the felt backing. If not treated it will wick water/moisture, if treated it will be waterproof. view full answer...
You do want to remove all of the old sealant before installing the LaSalle Bristol XTRM PVC RV Roof Membrane - White - 35' x 9-1/2' # 3441700534142711435.
While I know it can be a pain, some patience and a putty knife will go a long way. Finally, to finish the install you'll also need the LaSalle Bristol XTRM RV Roof Installation Kit # 3442703414KIT. view full answer...
While you should not have to use adhesive to get the lens to stay on the # MC32AB, you could use a bit of a silicone sealant to keep the lenses stuck on and sealed. That way you could probably peel of the sealant without too much trouble if the lenses need to be replaced. With any stronger adhesive I would be concerned that you would not be able to remove the lens without damaging something. view full answer...
The smallest container size of the Alpha Systems 8011 Adhesive for RV Roofs, is 1 Gallon - item # AL27CV. This provides a strong bond between your roof membrane and your RV's roof. It depends on what the damage is and how large of an aera to cover with the patch if you need to something such as the Alpha Systems 8011 Adhesive, # AL27CV or if it is a... view full answer...
Hey Larry, thanks for reaching out. Depending on the severity of the damage, the Alpha Systems Alphabond Repair Tape for RV Roofs # AL32KV may be enough to seal the crack and stop the leak. You will need to remove any factory adhesive or goop so you can apply the tape to a clean surface. For very minor damage, we even have a patch kit, part # QR74FR that can be used.
If the damage is more severe, I suggest using the LaSalle Bristol XTRM PVC RV Roof Membrane part # 3441700534142711435... view full answer...

Instead of using those other adhesives with your Thule Elite Van XT 2 Bike Rack for Ram ProMaster Rear Door # TH302013, you could also use the:

Yes, the Alpha Systems Alphabond Repair Tape for RV Roofs # AL32KV will adhere to a fiberglass roof. You will want to make sure the area you are adhering too is thoroughly cleaned. You will then want to use a non-sag sealant like the LaSalle Bristol XTRM Universal Non-Sag Sealant for RVs # 344270341437-1 to make sure you seal everything completely. This... view full answer...
You can use some silicone sealant like the TremPro 644 # 0160297 on the outside of the LaSalle Bristol Single Bowl RV Bathroom Sink # 34416156PPA drain hole and slide the drain tube on. You can also use this sealant around the outter lip of the sink to seal it to the countertop and prevent water from getting between the countertop and sink, which will deteriorate the countertop if it's wood or particleboard with some kind of Formica or other laminate on it. view full answer...
I took a look at the install instructions of the Lippert Components Shower Pan for RVs # LC210377 and there is a note that states: "All caulks, adhesives, sealants MUST be compatible with ABS" so when installing the pan be sure that any adhesive you use clearly states it is compatible with ABS.

According to Valterra, you should use a non-hardening sealant safe for ABS plastic. Don't use standard pipe dope or teflon tape as the pipe dope will harden over time which can cause leaking. Teflon tape acts as a lubricant, not a sealant. The danger of using that with ABS pipe is that it can cause the installer to over torque the fitting which causes the pipe or fitting to deform which would then very likely leak. view full answer...
No, you would not have to use adhesive between the roof and the Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan - Manual Lift - 14-1/4" x 14-1/4" Item # FV802250 during installation. Loctite Thread Sealant 545 # LT37482 is not designed for potable water systems and should not be used. There are chemicals in it that can be harmful if ingested. If joining copper pipes I recommend using solder to join non-threaded pieces and thread seal tape such as # A05-0265 on the threads of threaded pieces. Plumbers dope can be used on the plastic PVC-like pipes; available at hardware stores. If the PVC pipes are not threaded you should use primer and the appropriate adhesive for joining... view full answer...
