While we have not used the Yakima EXO SwingBase # Y34VR on your 2022 Kia Carnival we have used it on a 2020 Honda Odyssey(see video below), so I see no reason you will not be able to use this on your Kia. The base is mounted on the upper portion of the hitch that slides into the receiver tube. And the arms angle up to help reduce the chances of it contacting the ground on steep driveways or curbs.
