Special trailer tires do not really need to be given a full dynamic balance like passenger vehicle tires do, but tires on a tow dolly probably should be balanced since just these two tires will have an effect the overall handling of the dolly. I checked with Acme and they do recommend use of balanced tires on their tow dollies to minimize vibration.

You can add the Counteract Tire Balancing Beads # CA66VR to the Kenda Karrier ST235/80R16 Radial Trailer Tire with 16" Black Mod Wheel # AM34834 as we do not have the ability to balance wheels and tires at our facility. I always warn if tires are balanced and shipped that they should have balance verified at a shop as wheel weights can fall off in transport. By using the balancing beads they will balance the wheel and tire every time you drive ensuring proper balance. This is great for... view full answer...

No, you do not need to remove the existing wheel weights in order to use the Counteract Tire Balancing Beads # CA55FR. Although, if the wheel is already properly balanced and weighted, you really should not need balancing beads. So if you are having problems with the tires vibrating while driving, the balancing beads may help, but there may be an underlying cause other than tire balance. view full answer...

You do not need to get your trailer tires balanced before mounting. Some people like doing so but it isn't something required as trailer tires don't figure into handling the way car tires do. If you want you can add balancing beads after the fact to balance the tires if you feel the need to:

The Taskmaster ST225/75D15 Bias Trailer Tire with 15" Silver Mod Wheel # TA62FR does not come balanced. This is due to the fact trailer tires do not require balancing. As their primary function is to support heavy loads and are not providing a comfortable ride like vehicle tires. We do offer the Counteract Tire Balancing Beads # CA83VR which includes beads for up to 4 tires and the tools necessary to install the beads without breaking the bead on the tire. view full answer...
The Karrier ST205/75R14 Radial Trailer Tire with 14" White Wheel # AM32153 does not come balanced as it is not as important to balance trailer tires like you balance car tires. Their primary job is to support heavy loads and not providing a smooth comfortable ride like in a passenger vehicle. This is why the majority of trailers do not have shocks or cushioning suspension from the factory. This does not mean you can't have the tires balanced at a nearby tire shop.

Yes, the Counteract Tire Balancing Beads # CA45FR will work perfectly with your TPMS, but you will need to remove the external sensor prior to injecting the beads. The only time that using these balancing beads with a TPMS gets tricky is when the TPMS is mounted on the inside of the tire - since yours is outside though you're good to go!

You can use beads or weights to balance your tires if desired, but you will need to use a pin plate adapter to do so with trailer tires. Because of the design of trailer tires, the need for specific balancing is not the same as vehicle tires.
Most trailer tires are simply balances by matching the high heavy spot to the tire with the low light spot on the wheel. All of the combinations we carry are balanced in that manner so you can simply install them and get on the road.
