For your application I recommend checking out the Smart LED Light Strip w/ App and Wireless IR Remote Control from Diamond which comes in a 16' Long Strip # DIA66QR or 32' Long Strip # DIA86QR. The light colors can be changed either with the remote or with an app on your phone.

The bow refers to the channel that should be on the underside of the rearmost panel on your Extang tonneau cover. This provides a really convenient mounting location for the Extang e-Light 500 # EX415 that allows for a bright truck bed and protection from the elements.
I have attached a couple images to clarify this mounting location as well. view full answer...
I have a great alternative for you. Unfortunately, we do not carry any of the Alpena FlexLED - 24" # ALP77426 lights that specifically come in white. However, with that being said, we do carry the white 24" Buyers Products LED Light Strip # 3375622537. The Alpena Truck Bed Lights part # ALP77003 will work in your truck but you will be required to run wire up to the battery of your truck to power them and then have a switch ran on either the power or ground wire to the interior (or exterior) of your truck to allow you to switch them on.
What you could use for wire is the part # 10-2-1 which is a jacketed double wire that will allow you to easily run the power and ground up to the truck battery. With a switch like the part # BV0199-03... view full answer...

The LED strip light I suggest based on your trailer length is the Optronics 17-foot weatherproof model # UCL90CB. This light strip comes on a reel and has a peel-and-stick 3M adhesive backing for easy installation. You can see this item in the linked video. The strip can even be cut to length.
Multiple strips can be linked together using parts # A90P1B and # A90PB which will make it easy to link lights strips on each side of the trailer as well as on the ceiling. I do recommend using... view full answer...
There are a few different ways to wire/mount an LED light strip like the LED Utility Light Strip part # DG52761 on the bottom of your 1998 Jayco Eagle 12SO. In regards to mounting, you can use the double sided tape present just make sure the mounting surface is clean. Since you will be mounting the light on the underside of the trailer it will be subjected to much harsher conditions therefore, I recommend using either screws or zip ties as well as the double sided tape for security. The reason the Pop and Lock light kit part # PAL9135 is recommended with the # PAL9000 is because the # PAL9000 comes with key fobs that have light buttons integrated into them. The Alpena FlexLED, # ALP77426 are 12 Volt lights. You will simply need to connect to a 12 Volt source running the wires in whatever routing (possibly drilling a hole) needed to reach connecting point selected. When installing lights on a motorcycle like with the Alpena FlexLED part # ALP77426 you'll have to power the lights straight from the motorcycle battery as unlike vehicles there aren't keyed power sources available. So you'll need to use a switch to power this off and on as needed. We don't have switches that would be ideal or discreet enough for a motorcycle application though so your best option would be to find a small switch elsewhere.

This is a really great question and it honestly sounds like a fantastic idea for a new product. While we can wire in a type of indicator/alert system to the brake circuit or through the breakaway pin itself, there isn't an existing system available that's designed for this purpose. That just means we will need to get a little creative.
Something you could do is add a simple red strip light to the front of the trailer like # CM93281 that you would be able to see in your rear view mirror.... view full answer...
The Access LED Light Strip for Truck Beds # A80312 actually has a push-button to turn it on so you don't have to worry about any movement in your truck bed keeping the light on and wearing the batteries out. The automatic feature is for shutting the light off. This way if you forget to turn it off before leaving your truck bed you can rest assured that your batteries won't be drained. The only time that the battery draining would be an issue is if you disable the automatic shutoff feature.

A spray-in bed liner can be fairly rough, bumpy, which would make it difficult for adhesive to stick to. The internal ground and circuitry on battery powered LED light strip # A80312 is a loop that goes from the battery box, down to the end of the strip, and back. So cutting it can cause the circuit to not be completed and it would not work in that scenario. Folding it over is one possible solution.
