The Acclaim and the Adventurer tow bars by Blue Ox connect to a ball at the back of an RV or motorhome. The Acclaim includes many sought after features. The economical Adventurer is best for occasional use.

The Blue Ox Allure and Trion are pintle-style tow bars. They have a lunette ring that attaches to a pintle-style trailer hitch. This design is popular for heavy-duty towing applications.

Blue Ox Tow Bar Features

Triple-Lug Connection

3 Lugs on the end of each tow bar arm intertwine with 2 lugs of base plate brackets
- Place 1/2" keeper pin through all 5 lugs and secure with quick pin
- Replace pins with 1/2" receiver locks for added security
Result is a strong, reinforced connection between tow bar and base plates

Self-Aligning Arms with Non-Binding Release Latches

Drive RV forward after hooking up and arms automatically extend and lock in place
Press down handle until internal latch disengages
- Static pressure and tension are released so that arms can flex enough to be unhooked, even when tow bar is out of line

3-Axis Swivel

Easy hookup, even on unlevel terrain
Allows for arms to turn and pivot enough to compensate for slight height difference

Protective, Rubber Boots

Slip on over tow bar arms to protect them from dirt and grime
- Telescoping arms often get impacted with debris following use
- Debris can damage telescoping arms and keep them from functioning at their best
Compress and extend along with tow bar arm thanks to accordian-like stucture

RV-Mounted tow bars store alongside motor home:

Disconnect tow bar from dinghy
Bring tow bar arms together so they are side by side
Fold arms up toward RV
Insert the integrated hold-up bolt into place on the hitch connector
Pivot arms down so that tow bar is parallel to bumper

Car-mounted tow bars store on the front of dinghy:

Uncouple tow bar from RV
Disconnect one arm from base plate on dinghy
Swing disconnected arm over so both arms are side by side
Line up the folded tow bar with the front of your dinghy
Secure tow bar to base plate bracket by pinning it through the holding bracket beneath the tow bar's coupler

Construction

All Blue Ox tow bars are constructed of heavy-duty steel. The result is a sturdy, durable tow bar that will last. Blue Ox makes tow bars so strong, in fact, that they are able to tow vehicles that weigh up to 20,000 lbs (the Trion only).

Base Plate Combatibility

Because Blue Ox base plates are custom designed, the spacing of the brackets will not always be the same from vehicle to vehicle. Some Blue Ox tow bars have limitations on how wide or narrow their arms can spread. As a result, certain tow bars may not work with some base plates on some vehicles.

The following table shows the range of distance between base plate brackets that each BLue Ox tow bar can fit. Be sure to check the base plates that are designed for your vehicle to determine their spacing. If the base plate kit and tow bar are not compatible, you may be able to use an adapter to achieve a functional towing system.

@RonaldL, BX7335 is the Blue Ox "Aventa II". The only replacement parts we have (but not a rebuild kit) are in the link below BX7365 is the Blue Ox "Alpha" has also been discontinued by the factory. The only replacement parts are: Replacement Machined Hold Up Bolt for Blue Ox Aladdin, Alpha, and Aventa II Item # BX229-0436 Replacement Clip for Blue Ox Tow Bars Item # BX2290794 Replacement Latch Handle Grips for Blue Ox Tow bars Item # BX84-0181 Keep in mind that Blue Ox does not recommend using a tow bar beyond 10 years. For this reason replacement parts will become scarce afterwards.
