This Generation III Classic Personal snowplow is the most recent innovation from SnowBear. This plow conveniently slides into your vehicle's front-mounted trailer hitch (sold separately) for easy, convenient mounting. It has a remote-controlled electric winch that will let you raise and lower the plow without leaving the warmth and comfort of your cab. The pivoting blade makes this plow ideal for rocky or uneven surfaces because it can adjust to the terrain. Angled trip springs are also built in to help keep the blade from catching and tripping.

Simple, Hitch-Mounted Installation

HITCH MOUNTING

This hitch-mounted snowplow simply slides into your vehicle's front trailer hitch receiver, making it a breeze to install. Unlike a plow that attaches to custom-fit brackets, which ties you down to just 1 vehicle, this hitch-mounted plow can be used on most trucks or SUVs with a 2" x 2" front-mounted hitch. As a result, this plow can be easily switched between multiple vehicles. And because it offers a nearly universal fit, you won't have to buy a new plow when you replace your old vehicle.

To install the Personal snowplow, just slide the shank of the plow assembly into your 2" trailer hitch receiver . Then use a pin and clip or a hitch lock (sold separately) to secure the plow in the receiver.

How to Plow

Once the plow is mounted on your vehicle, lower the blade and set it to the desired angle. To set the angle, exit the vehicle and manually position the plow straight ahead or 22 degrees to the left or to the right. Angling the blade allows you to push snow off to the side where you want it without having to change the angle of your entire vehicle. This is especially useful on a driveway or private roadway where piling the snow straight ahead would create a barrier.

To begin plowing, just drive forward. When backing up to take another pass, be sure to lift the plow with the remote or the in-cab toggle switch, then lower it again before moving forward. When approaching a large pile of snow, be sure to decrease your speed. Slamming into a pile of snow can void the warranty on the Personal snowplow.

When you are finished, put your vehicle in park and lower the plow. Remove the plow from your vehicle after every use.

Easy Lifting with Electric Winch

WINCH

The electric winch on this plow allows you to easily lift and lower the blade using a toggle switch that mounts in your cab. You can also use the included wireless remote control. The winch uses a durable nylon strap, which is much quieter than a chain, to raise and lower the plow.

This little plow has been perfect for a Jeep Wrangler. I used it all winter and it kept the driveway clear, no complaints.

by: John12/20/2023

It would have been nice if the gentleman who sold me my snow plow would have told me that I needed a drop down hitch instead of a straight hitch, which makes a big difference when trying to plow.

by: Bill11/17/2023

The plow works ok. It's easy enough to get on and off the vehicle. Fatal flaw is the winch strap. I have replaced 3 times in one winter of plowing. If you purchase this product be sure to order extra winch straps!

by: Rickie J08/26/2017

It wasn't hard to install, instead of the wire I used two pen sized telescoping magnets to wriggle them in the square holed plates. My plans are to use this hitch in place of tow hooks. Good looks and sturdy!

by: Michael 12/30/2023

Works well for the price.

by: Jason 10/11/2023

I am very happy with the product. Went on easy fit great. Looks very well made.

by: Lynn08/08/2020

I didn’t know how much I would need this until I moved into my new house just yesterday. The garage door is much shorter at our new house, 7 foot vs. 9 feet. Using the front hitch and a 5 1/2 drop hitch, I have about two inches of clearance when putting my boat in our new garage. Without the front hitch I would have been able to get the boat in the garage. Not to mention how much more the trailer is to steering inputs, the garage is much narrower that our old one. If you have a tight spot to park something this will make your life much easier! Installation was simple and instructions well written. The tool to install the mounting bolts is a brilliant idea.

Better than expected. I didn’t need it when I first bought it, but we moved shortly after I installed the hitch. I left a 9 foot garage door on a detached garage. With a 5 in hitch my boat clears a 7 foot garage door. It will not low enough off the rear receiver.

by: Graham S Graham05/28/2020

I like my front hitch.
Pros: easy to
moderate ease of install.
Comes with all the hardware.
I have tested it using a winch on the front to move a 62 Lincoln continental, No problems.

Con: My truck is a stock dodge 4x4. My point being is it is not raised, but higher than typical dodges. I had to buy a front hitch guard because the hitch kept hitting the concrete parking barriers when you park. So if you are going to drive off road, keep in mind this hitch may hit.

If I sold my truck I would want to pull this part off if there was a way to put it on a new truck.

Works great, holds the winch in place and allows me to pull out cars or trees from easier to reach positions.

Still loving it George, thanks for asking! Recommend it to all who ask about it.

by: Todd02/23/2018

Having a front trailer hitch on my truck is great. Now I can pull my camper with the rear hitch & put my bicycle carrier on the front hitch. Have not tried moving my boat or camper with the front hitch yet, but I know it will be great for putting either one in to a tight spot.

etrailer has been a great!!! They have been updating me on all the shipments.

by: Gary C11/11/2013

The service I received from etrailer was outstanding; the customer service rep that helped me with my order was super friendly and very helpful with all my questions and concerns and processed my order on the spot. I had my shipping confirmation right after I placed my order and received my hitch in 2 days from start of my order... The only issue I had was from the maker of the hitch I purchased, the wire they give you to fish the bolts was too short from my access point on the frame of the truck but with a little extension added on the wire given to me allowed me to installed the hitch with no problems... etrailer in my book is A+++ and I will buy all my truck and hitch needs from this awesome internet store.. Thank You again etrailer for a super smooth transaction with my purchase.

by: Michael R03/27/2020

Front hitch was fairly easy to install. Instructions easy to follow only complaint was wire for fishing bolts thru frame broke while pulling 2nd bolt thru. Had to make one from wire I had. Hitch works great for my needs.

2007 Dodge Ram-Pickup

Received my hitch promptly and installation went fairly easy The only problem I had was that the fish wire tool was to short for the front two holes on both sides. I was able to attach a coat hanger to it to extend the reach and complete the job
The video was very helpful in positioning the hitch
All and all I am very pleased with this hitch.

by: nate macallister03/20/2014

we hooked it up today thursday march 20 2014. the hitch was very easy to install. we then hooked up a receiver with a winch mounted to it. we then hook the cable from winch to a tree to test the trailer hitch and the winch and receiver all at once it all worked great.can't wait to test it all out four wheeling. my friends will see it soon and they all want the same hook up.

I had ordered a similar hitch from Amazon weeks before receiving it damaged three different times. Three is a charm and I started searching elsewhere when I found you guy's, etrailer.com. The product arrived undamaged. Though I've not installed it yet I believe it will be a whole lot easier due to the wonderful installation video you sent me. I will tell you the video was a selling point for me. Thank you for the great service, product and the video.

Item is perfect...I installed it by myself in about 45 minutes on my 2004 Dodge Ram...No need to drill holes as they are already there, and didn't need to trim the air dam below :O)...the fish wire was great!!! easier to fish the bolt etc from the mounting holes straight up through the frame than trying to go all the way to the access hole though...

Very high quality. Very easy to install. Does not take away any ground clearance. On the 2004 Ram, no drilling and no cutting fascia. I will use mine mainly for carrying bicycles while towing our travel trailer.

  • Snow Plow Recommendation for a 2002 Jeep Wrangler
  • Actually SnowBear does not list a max height range for their snow plows like the part # SB324-080. Since you have a 2 inch front hitch installed on your 2002 Jeep Wrangler it should work well for you. I attached a review video for this plow for you to check out as well.

  • Front Hitch Plow Recommendation for 2004 Jeep Cherokee with 2 inch Hitch
  • For your 2004 Jeep Cherokee that has a 2 inch front hitch installed the SnowBear Personal SnowPlow part # SB324-080 would be a great option. This plow is 82 inches wide which is a good size for your vehicle and comes with everything needed to allow you to control it from inside the cab of your vehicle.

  • Yes, I recommend the SnowBear 82 inch snowplow # SB324-080 for your 2015 Ford F-150. You will also need to have a front mount hitch installed, # C31083, to mount and use the plow. I also recommend the off-road lighting kit for this plow, # SB324-127, for better visibility when plowing at night since plows have the tendency to block vehicle lights.

  • Front Hitch and Snow Plow Recommendation for a 2003 GMC Envoy
  • As long as you have a front hitch on your 2003 GMC Envoy like the # 31055 the snow plow part # SB324-080 will fit. It's a bit wider than most plows that would get used on a smaller SUV like the Envoy, but if you plan to upgrade to a full size truck eventually this would be a good plow to use. You would be able to easily transfer it over to the Sierra when you needed too.

  • Front-Mount Hitch Installation Process on 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 Pickup
  • We offer two brands of 2-inch front-mount hitch for your 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 and both can be seen using the link provided. Curt # 31320 and Draw-Tite # 65033 share a square tube design, 500-lb vertical pull and 9000-lb line pull capacities and no-drilling installation. Neither hitch will require fascia trimming on your Ram 1500; this is required only for the Curt hitch when installed on 2006 and later model years. Both products' instructions are linked as are a video for the Curt hitch

  • Installing Curt Front Mounted Receiver # 31320 on 2006 Dodge 2500 4x4
  • I spoke with my contact in the engineering department at Curt Manufacturing, who tells me that most, but not all 2006 Ram 2500 models had the access hole in the frame as shown in the instructions. If the front of the frame member allows enough room to pull the bolt and spacer through, you can go that route. Otherwise, you can use a 1-1/4 inch hole saw to make an access hole in the frame as shown in the instructions. I have linked you to the installation instructions as well as to an

  • Front Mount Tow Hitch Receiver for a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 that Does Not Require Fascia Trimming
  • Curt front mount hitch # 31320 is a confirmed fit for your 2004 Dodge Ram 1500. There is no trimming indicated in the instructions, linked to the right, for a 2004 model, just 2006 and later models. I have included a link to a video showing installation on a 2006 model so you can ignore any trimming parts. Everything else should be exactly the same on your 2004.

  • Front Mount Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500
  • The Curt Front Hitch part # 31320 that you referenced has been confirmed as a fit for your 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 so I would recommend it for you. The 2006 Ram in the attached video is the same generation as yours so the install will be the same.

  • Can Curt Front Mount Hitch Receiver Be Installed Upside Down?
  • The Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 2" # 31320 is not designed to be installed upside down. The hitch may or may not need to be modified for that, but the frame would required drilling for that and the warranty from the manufacturer would not cover that use as it hasn't been tested for load under that use. I can't recommend it.

  • Is Drilling Safe for Installing Curt Front Hitch on 2007 Dodge Ram 1500
  • The Curt hitch part # 31320 attaches to the frame of your 2007 Dodge Ram 1500. The frame of a vehicle would not be a "crumple zone" and this hitch has been tested on your vehicle to be safe. The front end part of a vehicle that is designed to crumple in accidents is the bumper not the frame.

  • Is the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Compatible with Westin E-Series Bull Bar on a 2008 Dodge Ram
  • It is sometimes possible to have both a Bull Bar and a front mount trailer hitch installed at the same time on a vehicle. The problem is that in the majority of vehicles, both parts require at least some of the same mounting locations so they would interfere with one another. What you will need to do is take a look at the isntructions for the front mount hitch that I have linked to see where it mounts and compare that to the mounting locations used by the Bull Bar to determine compatibility.

  • Front Hitch Recommendation for 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 for SnowSport Plow
  • Snowsport used to test their plows with the Curt front hitches which they'd recommend highly with their kits. So for your 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 the Curt front hitch # 31320 would be your best choice.

  • Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver for a 2008 Dodge Ram 3500 Mega Cab
  • We do have a couple of possible options for front mount hitches for your 2008 Dodge Ram 3500 Mega Cab. You can use # 65046. There is some minor drilling required, see instructions, but you will likely not have to do any trimming. I have included a link to the instructions to the right. I have also linked a video showing installation. The other option is # C31017. It will NOT fit Laramie models though. The same drilling and possible trimming applies to this hitch as well since it installs

  • Recommended Front Mount Hitch For A 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 4x4
  • The front mount hitches we have available for your 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 (Curt # C31017 and Draw-Tite # 65046) will both mount under the bumper, which I have examples of in an included picture. With that said, we do not have an option that will mount up at the tow hooks, unfortunately. Both of these hitches are rated to 9,000 pounds of line pull, but the Draw-Tite # 65046 is rated to 500 of tongue/vertical load, which will be higher than the Curt's 350 pound capacity. Between the two,

  • Recommended Front Mount Hitch for a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500
  • I do have front mount trailer hitch options for a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 like the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 31320 which is what I recommend but none of them mount inside the front bumper like you see on the earlier models. The reduction in ground clearance is very minimal but there is not a workaround for this. For a winch mount, the Bulldog Winch Hitch Mounted Winch Mounting Plate with Handles part # BDW20011 is what I recommend.
