The aerodynamic Yakima CoreBars let you build a quiet yet heavy-duty roof rack for your vehicle. The crossbars require 4 Yakima BaseLine, RidgeLine, SkyLine, or TimberLine towers and a custom fit kit to mount the rack to your roof. Each bar extends past the towers to maximize space for mounting carriers and accessories. The bars are constructed of galvanized steel so they can carry more weight than traditional aluminum aero bars. And they're coated in black vinyl to help prevent corrosion.
Aerodynamic Design
The CoreBar's teardrop shape controls air flow over and under the bar to significantly decrease wind noise and vibration even at highway speeds. This lessens the need to add a fairing to your roof rack. The aero-style bar also reduces drag to help maintain fuel efficiency.
Heavy-Duty Steel Construction
The Yakima CoreBar is constructed of roll-formed, galvanized steel. This heavy-duty steel construction enables the CoreBars to carry significantly more weight than traditional aluminum aero bars (up to 220 lbs depending on the weight capacity of your roof). The bars are also coated in black vinyl to protect them from corrosion.
Hassle-Free Installation
The CoreBars install on any of Yakima's StreamLine towers - BaseLine, RidgeLine, SkyLine, or TimberLine - with included brackets. Just remove the endcaps, slide the brackets onto the bars, and replace the endcaps. Then place the bars on your towers with the brackets seated in the tower BarBeds. Use the torque tool included with the towers to tighten the bars in place.
Maximum Cargo Carrying Capacity
The full-length CoreBar extends past your towers to provide more space for mounting carriers and accessories on your roof. The CoreBar is also compatible with most universal, clamp-on carriers and accessories.

The heavy-duty TimberLine towers allow you to mount 2 Yakima to your vehicle with raised, factory side rails. The towers install with rubber-coated stainless steel straps that wrap around your side rails. And the TimberLines' versatile BarBeds accommodate Yakima's full line of crossbars.
Versatile BarBed
The TimberLine's BarBed is designed to work with Yakima's entire line of crossbars.
The BarBed is curved to accommodate the elliptical shape of the CoreBar and JetStream crossbar. The CoreBar includes brackets that slide over the bar and secure to the towers with bolts. The JetStream attaches directly to the tower with bolts.
The towers also work with Yakima RoundBars with adapters . The adapters slide over the bars and secure to the towers with bolts.
Secure Installation with Rubber-Coated Stainless Steel Straps
The towers install easily with rubber-coated stainless steel straps. Simply remove the tower covers, wrap the straps around your raised side rails, and secure the straps to the towers. The straps provide maximum contact and security by wrapping completely around your side rails.
Tighten the bolts inside the towers with the included torque tool to complete installation. This is the only tool you will need to secure the towers to your rails and your crossbars to the towers. The torque tool also helps prevent over- or under-tightening. The tool clicks 3 times once you've reached the correct amount of torque.
Same Key System Locks
TimberLine towers are compatible with Yakima SKS lock cores (Y07204 - sold separately) that allow you to secure the roof rack to your roof. The SKS locks are all keyed alike so a single key opens all the locks. The locks can also be swapped out to make all of your Yakima products keyed alike.

Very easy install. Others have complained about the instructions, but guess I'm a visual person because the pictures all seemed very clear to me and the install was very easy. They do sit higher than I expected. After adding a Rhino Rack cargo basket, we only have about 4-5" clearance below the garage door.

Jenny N - 08/01/2022These crossbars feel like they are well made and sturdy. It took less than 30 minutes to install with the Ridgeline Towers. I love the look of the bars! Can't wait to load the Kayaks up and get out on the water.
Timely delivery of my order, as usual! Easy to install on my 2015 4Runner. After I had the mounts ready and put on both bars, I installed the front one and fine-tuned it, the second took even less time then. I now have the ability to carry up to 3 kayaks, perfect! etrailer is a great company!
My experience with etrailer has been excellent. There was going to be a potential delay in one of the products, but their customer service promptly informed me, half the price of some of their competitors so can't really complain. In the end they got the part ahead of schedule and was able to ship in a timely manner. I will definitely keep them in mind for future purchases.
I have a 2004 Toyota Camry, my purpose is to purchase this Yakima Baseline System for Rooftop tent. My 23Zero rooftop tent weighs 130 lb, so far it's super solid. I did some minor adjustments based on the shape and level of the roof when mounting it.
Very sturdy, well made. The assembly instructions are not too good but if you call Yakima they will provide additional instructions.

Ultimately I purchased a different vehicle more than 3 months later and the roof rack and mounting parts were not compatible. I had no problem returning the unopened products and just needed to pay the postage. Kimberly made the process easy and seamless, making sure to send the new Yakama cross bars and necessary parts. It fits beautifully on my new car and setup was fairly simple with video support and step-by-step instructions.
I am thrilled this got delivered sooner than anticipated! It was quite easy to install once you started actually putting it together and measuring everything out. I like that this can easily be removed and installed onto the vehicle.

Customer service was excellent, they called me to tell me one item was backordered and how long it would be. Package was shipped with enough packing material. Install was pretty easy, some of the Yakima measurements in the manual are a couple inches off but no big deal. This will be used to carry a box for when the family takes trips. Can pile all the luggage up top and have more room in the car. I would recommend the Yakima corebar roof rack and etrailer! Their price was lower than 2 other sites I checked.
Very happy with the Yakima roof top rack kit for my 2017 Ford Edge with glass roof. The instructions were a little confusing at first, but after reading through them a couple of times while working with the product they became much clearer. The Yakima fit site was helpful as well. After the initial cross bar mounting measurements and set up, attaching and detaching the racks from the roof is a very simple process.

I bought this for my Son as a Grad/BDay gift for a Honda HR-V which has slightly odd roof/door shape
He installed it himself said the install was straightforward but the instructions could use a little improvement.

Great product! Relatively easy install, had the racks on for a few days now with no issues.
The rack looks to be excellent. The assembly is a nightmare. The instructions are terrible. The design for assembly is flawed. There is a stupid cover over the main bolt that you have to tighten. There is a video on Yakima’s website that kind of tells you how to get around it but not really. A 30 minute job took two hours.
The cross bars come with the items needed to install them on the mounts. Easy installation and the best part is they don't add much wind noise even at freeway speeds. I've only had them on the car for a day so I'm looking forward to putting them to use
