The aerodynamic Yakima CoreBars let you build a quiet yet heavy-duty roof rack for your vehicle. The crossbars require 4 Yakima BaseLine, RidgeLine, SkyLine, or TimberLine towers and a custom fit kit to mount the rack to your roof. Each bar extends past the towers to maximize space for mounting carriers and accessories. The bars are constructed of galvanized steel so they can carry more weight than traditional aluminum aero bars. And they're coated in black vinyl to help prevent corrosion.
Aerodynamic Design
The CoreBar's teardrop shape controls air flow over and under the bar to significantly decrease wind noise and vibration even at highway speeds. This lessens the need to add a fairing to your roof rack. The aero-style bar also reduces drag to help maintain fuel efficiency.
Heavy-Duty Steel Construction
The Yakima CoreBar is constructed of roll-formed, galvanized steel. This heavy-duty steel construction enables the CoreBars to carry significantly more weight than traditional aluminum aero bars (up to 220 lbs depending on the weight capacity of your roof). The bars are also coated in black vinyl to protect them from corrosion.
Hassle-Free Installation
The CoreBars install on any of Yakima's StreamLine towers - BaseLine, RidgeLine, SkyLine, or TimberLine - with included brackets. Just remove the endcaps, slide the brackets onto the bars, and replace the endcaps. Then place the bars on your towers with the brackets seated in the tower BarBeds. Use the torque tool included with the towers to tighten the bars in place.
Maximum Cargo Carrying Capacity
The full-length CoreBar extends past your towers to provide more space for mounting carriers and accessories on your roof. The CoreBar is also compatible with most universal, clamp-on carriers and accessories.

The heavy-duty BaseLine towers allow you to mount 2 Yakima crossbars to your vehicle with a naked roof. The towers can be adjusted during installation to ensure your crossbars are level and that the rack is seated correctly on your roof. The BaseLines' versatile BarBeds accommodate Yakima's full line of crossbars. The towers install with Yakima's DropHook system and BaseClips .
Versatile BarBed
The BaseLine's BarBed is specifically designed to work with Yakima's entire line of crossbars.
The BarBed is curved to accommodate the elliptical shape of the CoreBar and JetStream crossbar. The CoreBar includes brackets that slide over the bar and secure to the towers with bolts. The JetStream attaches directly to the tower with bolts.
The towers also work with Yakima RoundBars with adapters . The adapters slide over the bars and secure to the towers with bolts.
The crossbars mount to the BaseLine towers with the included torque tool. The tool clicks 3 times once you've reached the correct amount of torque so you don't have to worry about over- or under-tightening. This is the only tool you will need to secure the bars to the towers and the towers to your roof.
Adjustable Pitch and Toe Angle
The pitch and toe angle of each tower adjusts to provide a level mounting surface and to ensure the rack is seated correctly on your roof. To set up, install the towers on your crossbars and place them so the bottoms of the towers are facing up. Next, adjust the pitch and toe angle to the correct position as indicated by your fit kit's instruction manual. The pitch adjustments are labeled A, B, and C, and the toe angle adjustments are labelled 1, 2, and 3. Once these are set place the rack on your roof.
Secure Installation with DropHook System
The towers install with custom-fit BaseClips . To mount a tower remove the cover, open the door inside the assembly, and attach the BaseClip to the hook inside the tower. The clip adjusts on 3 axes as you tighten it to ensure a safe and secure fit. Once the clip is tightened down, close the door to secure the clip in place.
Same Key System Locks
BaseLine towers are compatible with Yakima SKS lock cores (Y07204 - sold separately) that allow you to secure the roof rack to your roof. The SKS locks are all keyed alike so a single key opens all the locks. The locks can also be swapped out to make all of your Yakima products keyed alike.

Really easy to install & work as specified. So happy with the customer support/service at etrailer.1608442
Was skeptical at first because I needed the posts as well for my 2011 Honda Element. The Honda crossbars were not adequately weight rated and is why I opted for Yakima. Couldn't be happier with my choice as this assembly has served me well throughout the year.419289
Excellent solution for my 2023 Chevy Silverado. In the past, I have had rails installed on the roof of my pickup trucks, but I find the BaseLine towers to be a better solution, since they don't permanently change the truck. Plus, they are much more solid than SkyLine system on the rails.1750050

Perfect. Perfect. Easy to install and high quality. Confident in this product. Excellent instructions. Used with towers of course! Towers and crossbars have demonstrated to be strong and durable with several trips with kayaks.808721
We purchased the Yakima Skyline Towers roof rack with the Jet Stream crossbars. Took about 2 hours to install on the naked roof of our Flex. I drilled through the roof strip for the mounting bolts and they fit tighter than the factory rails. Very happy with our choice.506386
Your notice of schemes was a lot better than the yakima site provided. They did not suggest the scheme you did.
But when the products arrived, the instructions were by yakima. Generally worked as instructed except the tower to tower transverse mounting dimensions needed to be tweaked for a perfect fit.1661821

So far so good. Purchased these towers to use on a 2022 GMC Canyon with HD bars that I already had, primarily to carry my canoe. Yakima's fitting instructions worked perfectly and the whole system seems really solid.1521562

2020 SubaruImpreza
Product was packaged well, arrived in perfect condition. Instructions easy to follow. Installation took less than (1) hour. I did it alone & I’m 76 yrs. old. Is very sturdy. Looks good on my 5 door Subaru. The feature that impressed me the most in dealing with your company was how I was able to track my package inside your facility with the name of the employee handling the item before it even shipped. Very organized. Would definitely recommend you to others & purchase from you again.1009131

Ackage came 2 days early the install was somewhat easy (did it by myself) Did not get to mount anything to it but seems really sturdy. One thing I can say is mark out your mounting points with provided stickers then put up and make adjustments to the roof rack.1648318

2019 Toyota Highlander
I have not bought car roof racks for decades--back when there were those very useful rain gutters. So I was shocked with the high prices. But what you get today is much more carefully engineered with a complicated construction. This Yakima version even comes with a manual 3.5 mm hex driver which turns out to be a torque wrench too. You use it 16 times, torquing to its limit, in installing the two cross rails on the four towers. Years ago you installed the towers where you wanted them on the rain gutters and adjusted the cross rails by sight. No more. You must go on line to Yakima. You must get the precisely engineered dimensions for your exact vehicle. You even adjust the towers for the roof slope and any toe-in of the roof line. Pay attention to the precise instructions. The result is very solid. I wish that I had more space between the cross rails. There is room for another 6 or 8 inches given where the door openings on my 2019 Toyota Highlander are spaced. But then the rear base clips would be different and that logistics would add yet more to the price. I am confident that I can secure a 4 X 8 sheet of plywood on the cross rails. And I will find my vehicle in the mall parking lot easier with those good looking rails. While I am happy with the end product, I wish the vendors had given more explanation of the fixed dimensions of today's installations. That would have helped make my on-line shopping less frustrating. Part of the problem is that Yakima and Thule do not provide cross rails for my LE Highlander's existing tower bases. And I could not get 60 inch cross rails on any of the versions that fit my LE's bases.881161

I want to thank the staff at eTrailer for their outstanding support. After my roof rack order got off to a shaky start the customer service staff stepped in and made it right; 100% RIGHT. I cannot thank them, and eTrailer, enough. Regarding the roof rack itself, I have now installed it and can vouch that the installation was a breeze. All parts fit and the instructions were correct. For the record, this is not my first purchase from eTrailer (I've bought hitch items from them before) and it won't be my last. They have ALWAYS given great service, their web site works, their products and descriptions are good, etc., etc. Thank you! 326327

2019 Toyota Tacoma
The 60" CoreBar Crossbars will be much more useful to us than the original 50" bars placed on our shell at the factory. The only issue I had was that there were no instructions with the bars. It took a little while for me to figure out how the old bars came off and how to put the new ones on but I'll consider that a learning experience.1342823

The instructions were different for another set of bars. Was a pain to get right...all the measurements on Yakima were off...I figured it out on my own...should have got Thule or nicer bars ..end caps were not good either...flawed fit... otherwise will do just not happy with the product perse or instructions...delivery good...will see how they do.893022

You can indeed use the longer 60 inch Yakima CoreBar crossbars. To equip your 2021 Mazda 3 with a Yakima CoreBar roof rack, you'd need the following:
• Yakima 60 Inch CoreBar, part # Y00422
• Yakima SkyLine towers, part # Y53TR
• Yakima Landing Pad 22, part # Y00248 which attaches towers to existing mounting points on vehicle roof.
I'll link to some product videos that you might find helpful. view full answer...
You only need two crossbars for the Yakima track system installed on the camper shell on your 2018 Ford F-250 to use most accessories. If you need crossbars, I recommend the Yakima CoreBar 60" Crossbars # Y00422 with the SkyLine Towers # Y53TR. This will give you the two crossbars and four towers to mount the bars to the track. This crossbar system has a weight capacity of 220 lbs, which is more than enough for your kayak and gear.

Roof rack manufacturers choose the strongest parts of the vehicle to have the roof racks positioned so while it will be a little uneven, you'll want to install the Yakima CoreBar roof rack for your 2020 Ford Escape (parts listed below) per the Yakima instructions. We determine the cross bar length to recommend based on the manufacturer's research and testing.
Yakima produces a lot of watersport and snow sport accessories, and their load assist models require that the ends of the crossbars overhang the rack feet. So, a lot of their roof crossbars are naturally longer to provide for this length as an added feature so the user doesn't have to think about how to mount the crossbars to clear the side of their vehicle.

I have some potential solutions for you, however, there is not a Thule roof rack fit available for your vehicle.
For basic racks that are similar to Thule, I recommend Yakima's Round Bar or JetStream kits.
The base kit for your vehicle is made up of parts that will work with whatever bar style you choose. It is made up of:
BaseLine Towers for Yakima Crossbars, part # Y28TR
BaseClip Fit Kit for 2014 Nissan Altima, Front, part # Y06137

I reached out to my contact at Yakima and there is not a Q Tower Fit for your 2016 Honda Civic 4 door. They were making the switch to their Baseline Towers at the time that vehicle was made, so that is what they fit to your vehicle.
However, they do have a fit that I recommend for your vehicle that will allow you to use your old round bar crossbars. You will want the BaseLine Towers for Yakima Crossbars - Naked Roofs - Qty 4 # Y28TR with RoundBar adapter # Y03536. You can use the view full answer...
The Yakima Baseline towers # Y28TR with the landing pad 19 will leave you about 5-1/4 inches from the top of your bar to the roof of your 2020 Honda CR-V. That being said the Yakima Showdown # Y04081 will sit about 9 inches up from the top of your bar when the kayaks are not loaded. view full answer...
If this were my 2020 Toyota Highlander the roof rack I would put on it would be Yakima because it will give you a larger amount of crossbar space than most racks so you can hold the most gear, it is extremely quiet, highly durable and looks fantastic. The rack that fits your 2020 Toyota Highlander with a naked roof is made up of the following parts:
- Yakima JetStream Crossbars # Y00426
- BaseLine Towers for Yakima Crossbars # Y28TR
- BaseClip Fit Kit # Y06153 and # Y06132

I recommend installing a Yakima JetStream roof rack on your 2018 Toyota Highlander because they provide a clean looking installation that allows you to utilize the full 165 lb weight capacity and can be keyed alike with your SideWinder # Y02071.
If you have a naked roof (no rails running from front to back) then you need the 60" JetStream Bars # Y00426 the BaseLine Towers # Y28TR, and the BaseClip # Y06130.
For flush mount rails you would instead need the 50" JetStream Bars # Y00425, view full answer...
Due to the roof design of your 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee the only roof rack solutions we have require clips that mount to the door frame. You'll have to use the Baseline feet part # Y00146, the BaseClip fit kit part # Y06121 (quantity of 2), and then the roundbar adapter part # Y03536 to reuse your crossbars like the # Y00408. view full answer...
For your 2010 Ford Fusion, I recommend starting with the Rhino-Rack ROC25 Roof Rack for Naked Roofs - Vortex Aero Crossbars - Aluminum - Black # RR69YR which is a custom fit for your vehicle. Then I recommend using the Rhino-Rack J-Style Kayak Carrier - Folding - Universal Mount # S512 along with the Expansion Arm for Rhino-Rack J-Style Kayak Carrier # RRS512X giving you a secure fit for 2 kayaks on your small roof.
An alternative option is the Inno Kayak Carrier w/ Tie-Downs - J-Style view full answer...
There are many different parts that are needed for various vehicles, so it is difficult to piece together complete package kits for each and every vehicle on the road which is why you sometimes see a few parts that are required for a complete roof rack. If you go into our vehicle fit guide and enter in all of your vehicle's information, you should be able to see every part that is required for each roof rack system.
It looks like you were checking out the BaseLine Towers # Y28TR. These view full answer...
I can help you find the items you need to complete your roof rack. You will need the following items:
BaseLine Towers for Yakima Crossbars - Naked Roofs - Qty 4, part # Y28TR
BaseClip Fit Kit for Yakima BaseLine Roof Rack Towers - Qty 2, part # Y06117
BaseClip Fit Kit for Yakima BaseLine Roof Rack Towers - Qty 2, part # Y06174
RoundBar SL Adapter for Yakima BaseLine, SkyLine, TimberLine, and RidgeLine Towers - Qty 4, part # Y03536

Since the Baseline Towers # Y28TR are only designed to be used on vehicles with a naked roof you are going to have to switch to the RidgeLine Towers # Y00145 to fit the flush rails on your 2018 BMW X5M. You will also need to get the RidgeClip kit #10 from Yakima as we no longer carry these clips.
I do see your roof will allow for either the 60" # Y00426 or 70" # Y00427 Jetstream crossbars. view full answer...
I have a great roof rack for you. Unfortunately, I confirmed with Thule that they do not have a roof rack system engineered to fit your 2021 Toyota Highlander XLT whether you have a bare roof or flush factory rails. However, we do have a similar Yakima system available.
If you have a bare roof Highlander, I recommend the following parts:
- Yakima JetStream Crossbars - Aluminum - Black - 60" # Y00426
- BaseLine Towers for Yakima Crossbars - Naked Roofs # Y28TR
- BaseClip Fit Kit view full answer...
We do! The lock kit you need for the Yakima BaseLine Towers # Y28TR can be found on our site as part # Y07204. This kit comes with 4 matching lock cores, 2 keys, and the change key needed to remove and install the cores. view full answer...
Yakima recently discontinued their Q-Tower roof racks which means their Q clips are gone as well. You would need the Q7 clips part number 8000607 but they are not available anymore. We do have a solution that would allow you to still use the round bars you have though. For that you'd want the part numbers # Y28TR, # Y03536, and # Y06122 since you already have the round bars like part # Y00410. view full answer...
While we do have roof racks for your 2014 Subaru Impreza, the (discontinued) Custom Fit Kit WB-K473 you referenced is for various years and models of GM pickups and there isn't a Whispbar roof rack currently in production that fits your vehicle.
If you like the higher quality of a Whispbar product then you'll want to go with a Yakima roof rack as they actually manufacture the Whispbar brand. From what you were looking at I'm guessing you have a Sedan that isn't the WRX. For this you'll view full answer...
Since your 2021 Kia Telluride has a naked roof without side rails, I recommend going with Thule SquareBar Evo Crossbars - Steel - 60" Long - Qty 2 # TH712500. You'll also need the appropriate Feet # TH710501 and Fit Kit # TH98ZE.
Since you mentioned adding a basket, I would look into the Thule Canyon XT Roof Cargo Basket - Steel - 49" x 40" x 6" - 150 lbs item # TH859XT. This is a popular and very nice option that will fit your roof very well. I attached a few demonstration videos or view full answer...
Yes, we have just what you need to carry your Yakima Skybox NX 16 # Y95AV on the roof of your 2020 Kia Telluride.
Your best option is the 60-inch Yakima JetStream Crossbars # Y00426. Along with that, you'll also need the Yakima Baseline Towers # Y28TR and the custom BaseClip/Pads # Y06125 for the front and # Y06165 for the back.
The JetStream bars are made of a rust proof aluminum and have the most aerodynamic and quiet design available. The Baseline Towers provide an attachment view full answer...
