  • Connects quickly and easily
    • Locate connection points behind tail lights

    • Tail lights: 7.5 amps per circuit
  • 1-Year limited warranty

This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side tail lights. You will have to remove the tail light assemblies to access this harness.

T-One Connection Location Points Behind Tail Lights

Once you've plugged in the T-connector, run the hot lead up to your car battery. Connect the lead to the included fuse holder, and then connect the fuse holder to the positive terminal on your battery and insert the provided fuse.

Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.

It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

ModuLite Power Module

A ModuLite power module is built into this T-One connector. With a ModuLite, your trailer's lights will be powered without overloading your vehicle's electrical system. Because the module draws power directly from your car's battery and bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.

2012 Dodge Grand Caravan

In the end all worked out well. I had a few minor issues with the instructions. The bolts that held my taillight lenses in place were 10mm, not t30.

The instructions said to disconnect the connectors to both light assemblies but did not say HOW. On a YouTube video I found that the red latch had to be moved and then the tab at the top had to be depressed to release the connector. Now that I know, it's easy. But I didn't know.

I fed the green wire across the vehicle through the tube that made up the hitch. It is totally protected and out of harm's way. I used the supplied black wire that goes up to the battery as a fish wire to pull the connector through the tube. This might be suggested in the instructions.

I would have liked the trailer connector to be about 6 to 12 inches longer.

I am very happy with the result and the installation was very reasonable. It took about an hour to complete.

During the install I discovered this van had a previous non working trailer connection. So the power wire to the battery was installed already. The rest of the plug and play was simple. I was going to run the power wire INSIDE the van since I have no hoist, my body shop would not do it, and am 81.

Installed trailer hitch as instructions show. One guy with mussel Can Do it with out help. Safety First. Electrical kit, added extra wire insulation to battery. and reroute around any trouble area as written instructions details shown.Any gear head can do the Job.

Perfect fit. Simple to install, great videos and the wiring harness works like a charm.

As ususal, it takes some time to run the power wire from the battery to the module, but everything worked fine. Last time I did this on a different vehicle of the same model, I used a different brand of harness and it did not work properly, nor would the manufacturer resolve the issue, so I avoided that brand this time, and no issues.

Both the hitch and wiring installed easily and have worked fine since installation.

Ford Flex

was a little apprehensive at first, since my van was new. After reading descriptions and reviews of other brands, I chose this one. I laid out everything, read and re-read the instructions, just to make sure. Installation was very easy! Dodge Caravans have cabin vents in the fender wells so you can run the wires through, to have the wires be protected and hidden. I did add some half-inch flex tubing for the underside wiring runs, for more protection, and some zip strips to hold it in place. Installing the yellow wire with the fuse holder went pretty easy too! This kit had enough slack to do the job right! After everything was in place, and the tail lights put back on, tested it and everything worked! Recently I replaced my trailer lights, from bulbs to LED's, and that also turned out great! Very bright too! Since the install last year, I have not ceased in telling everyone I know to go to ETrailer!!! Thanks!!!

The wiring harness and hitch system was of great quality. Not a difficult install. Easy ordering and quick delivery.

2019 Dodge Grand Caravan

This is the 3rd or 4th time I have purchased a hitch and wiring from etrailer. I have never been disappointed by this company!

Yesterday I installed the hitch and wiring on my 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan GT. The hitch took a few more minutes than anticipated, only because the exhaust system resonator was in the way, more than expected. A minor delay.

Running the power wire to the battery always takes the most amount of time, if you do not have a lift. I just move slowly and tie-wrap it in several places so I know it will remain out of the way.

One year later and it still functions perfectly.
Len M - 07/11/2020

Dodge Grand Caravan

The wiring harness worked out good for my Dodge Caravan. E-Trailer always comes thru with a phone number and good service.

The hitch and wiring harness has been good. Its my second set-up in a Dodge and I plan on a thirded if things work out. Take out the spacer in the tail light assembly on older models dodge etc.

2014 Chrysler Town and Country

So far this wiring harness has worked perfectly. I love it. Takes about 20 minutes to install, and make sure the van is jacked up to make running the wire to the battery easier!

Still works Great! Haven’t had any issues!

Dodge Grand Caravan

I have installed this harness once before on another Dodge Grand Caravan and it was very easy. I suggest you watch the video on the installation before you begin. Hope this helps.

2012 Chrysler Town and Country

Works exactly as advertised, however, they really downplayed how involved the installation would be. It's advertised as "plug & play", but running the wiring the full length of the car to the battery was really a pain. Works like a charm once it's done though.

Outstanding - couldnt be happier with my purchase!
Glenn - 03/12/2022

It worked great for the short time I had it. I had it installed in March or April and used it to return to South Dakota in April. It was great, even in the horrendous wind I drove through. However, I no longer have it. In July I was rearended on the interstate highway and my vehicle was totaled.

Works great, installation went well. Toughest part for me was routing the power connection to the battery. I was concerned that it be very secure. I did not want it to get snagged on something I might be driving over.

Works fine

Dodge Grand Caravan

Just wanted to share my experience for others who may be interested. This is regarding Kit # 118534, T-one connector trailer wiring kit for Grand Caravan. Package arrived in about 3 days. No parts were missing from package. I consider myself very technically inclined, so installation was straight forward. I did look at the video on the web site, just to make sure there were no surprises. As expected, I had no issues with connections, wire length, or mounting the assembly into taillight housing on drivers side. Only difficulty for me was lack of garage to work in, and lack of floor jack to raise vehicle. If you have a floor jack, running and connecting battery wire will be a piece of cake. I had to lay on the ground and reach under vehicle to run the wire, and tie it into place along the way. Getting wire up to battery from underneath was simple using a coat hanger and tape. So, all in all I am happy with purchase, happy with installation, and I would recommend this kit for anyone using a trailer.

Installation relatively easy. Was able to ryn wire to battery under the carpet and thru the firewall where hood release cable goes thru.

I ordered both a receiver hitch kit and 4 pole flat wiring kit for my 2018 Grand Caravan, hitch install in my driveway took 45 min and another hour for wiring kit install, all instructions for easy step by step install included, couldn't be happier with both products, fast delivery ahead of schedule.

Thanks for everything

2016 Dodge Grand Caravan

Excellent product. All the connections fit perfect and we’re specific to my Dodge Grand Caravan. I was worried that with a wire hooked up running directly to the battery there was going to be a power draw when the ignition was turned off. No power draw! Instructions were a little vague to my liking but I usually don’t read them anyway. Even without them it was very easy to figure out and install. Couldn’t be easier actually. Quick tip. Don’t run the power wire under the car. Too risky. You can drill a hole between the wire harness and hood release cable exiting the firewall under yours steering wheel. Then run the cable along the side under the carpet to the rear.

2016 Chrysler Town and Country

Excellent video instructions and easy to install.

Broke on the first use, very disappointed in the quality.

Can you give me more information about how the harness broke? I am happy to assist.

2011 Dodge Grand Caravan

Need to emphasize that the ground wire must be metal to metal or the trailer lights will not work. Scape paint off car frame to get meters to metal.

Yes, you are correct. The ground wire must have a good connection to metal for the trailer lights to work.
-- Etrailer Expert Thomas M - 12/28/2021

Easy to install, instructions were easy to follow.

The hitch and wiring came quickly, but the package was damaged, did take pictures but the product inside was not damaged so everything worked out. Installed hitch but not wiring, things went well.

I am a return customer and etrailer delivers an A+ wiring harness as advertised and fast. Their how to video makes the installation as easy as eating a slice of cake.
Thank you for the great customer service.

  • Tail Light Fuse Blows on Chrysler Town and Country with Tow Ready T-One Harness Installed
I'm sure you are already aware of this, but the M17 fuse is the fuse for your left tail light and license plate light. Since the fuse keeps blowing when the Tow Ready T-One Wiring Harness, # 118534, is installed and it does not blow when the harness is removed, then that is a pretty good indication that the harness is the problem and it should be replaced. There is a good chance that the converter box shorted out causing the fuse to blow. A new wiring harness will most likely fix the...

  • Does Trailer Wiring for 2012 Town and County Have to Run All The Way to Vehicle Battery
Powered trailer wiring harnesses like the Tow Ready part # 118534 that you referenced have to have the battery wire run all the way to the positive post of the vehicle battery. The reason for this is so that the taillights of the trailer won't be putting any amperage draw on the delicate taillight wiring of the vehicle. All of the amperage would be drawn from the battery instead. If you were to power the unit from a 12 volt source like what you mentioned you would be defeating the circuit...

  • Drivers Side Tail Light Fuse Blows Again on Chrysler Town and Country with Curt Wiring Harness
The chance of receiving two faulty converter boxes is very low and we have not had any recurring complaints on trailer wiring harnesses for the Chrysler Town and Country or Dodge Grand Caravan minivans. The main causes that we find for faulty converter boxes are short circuits on the trailer, excessive power draw, and faulty installations. Before installing...

The custom trailer wiring harnesses available for your 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan, such as the Tekonsha # 118534 that you referenced, do require that a hot lead be run up to the vehicle's battery.
