Video Transcript for Draw-Tite Hitch Ball - Gooseneck Hitch Ball - 19310 Review

Today, we're going to take a look at the DrawTite 2 5/16" diameter gooseneck hitch ball. It has a 2500 pound weight capacity. This is the replacement ball for the DrawTite, part numbers 40845 and 6002; also for the Hidden Hitch part number 50845 and 50536, and the Reese 30845 and 58079 gooseneck hitches that'll sit in your fifth wheel rails. If you notice on this gooseneck hitch ball, there is no opening for a pin to go through or anything. This is actually held in place by a snap ring. If you notice, there's a groove right here at the very bottom. The snap ring is not included.

It is sold separately on our website. It's part number 30556. A few dimensions on this. The shank portion, which is this portion right here, to give you an idea of the length on it, it's going to be right at 3". The diameter of the shank is going to be right at 1 3/4", and again, the weight capacity on this is 2500 pounds. The ball diameter is a 2 5/16" diameter ball. That should do it for the review of the DrawTite 2 5/16" diameter gooseneck hitch ball with the 2500 pound weight capacity..

Tow ball fit perfectly in my fifth wheel adapter. The description on there website was exact.

The product is exactly what I ordered delivered a day early I'm happy with the order just wish I knew about the clip when I ordered it instead of finding out about it in the email by watching the video
All in all I will be ordering more from etrailer price and costumer service was great due to work it's not in yet but I know it's going to be awesome

Fits perfectly solid high quality I’m extremely satisfied! I ordered this on Friday evening and it was delivered on Wednesday standard shipping!

I have been looking for a gooseneck ball replacement for years and couldn't find one and I just emailed their customer service it was great and they told me one I bought it and it and it was cheap too I was happy so happy

I pull a 40ft toy hauler, I will not pull it with a ball made in China.

For a Made-in-America setup that will allow you to adapt 5th wheel rails to tow a gooseneck camper, I recommend Demcos Hijack Premier Series Gooseneck Hitch Plate # DM5996
Demco Premier Series Gooseneck Trailer Hitch for 5th Wheel Rails - 25,000 lbs
. Reese does not currently offer a replacement hitch ball for their adapters that is made in the USA.

  • Replacement Hitch Ball and Release Lever for Gooseneck Hitch
Goose neck hitch fits vary by truck model (1500, 2500, 3500), model year and version, and bed length. I see that you referenced a 2003 Silverado. The different versions of the truck use goose neck hitches from different makers such as B&W, Curt, Draw-Tite and Reese. Replacement parts, including both balls and release levers, will be specific to your brand and model of hitch so you'll want to get under the truck and have a look at the hitch to find a brand and part number reference. • Replacement Gooseneck Ball for an Unknown Brand Gooseneck Trailer Hitch
It doesn't sound like any gooseneck hitch I have come across. The closest match we have is going to be # 19310 since it has the right diameter shank. But like you have said there is no hole in it. Drilling out a hole would void the warranty and could compromise the capacity of the ball.

  • Replacement Ball For No-Name Gooseneck Hitch
The gooseneck replacement ball we offer that is 2-5/16 inch diameter is part # 19310. The unfortunate thing is that the shank on this gooseneck ball measures 1-3/4 inches diameter. The length of the shank is 3 inches as the enclosed photo shows. We do not have a gooseneck ball with a 1-15/16 inch shank as you described.

  • Help Identifying Gooseneck Hitch in a 2009 Dodge Ram 2500
I think the best way to determine what gooseneck hitch you have in the bed of your truck would be for you to check out the link I attached to the right that shows all of the hitches we offer that are confirmed to fit your 2009 Dodge Ram 2500. Hopefully we have the same hitch you have in your truck and you can identify your hitch from the pictures of all of the hitches. If you can pick your hitch out from the list check out the other link I attached that shows all of the replacement gooseneck...

  • What is the Diameter and Length of the Shank on the Draw-Tite Gooseneck Hitch Ball, # 19310
This very question has come up before. On the Gooseneck Hitch Ball, # 19310, the shank is 1-3/4 inches in diameter and it is 3 inches tall. I have included a picture that shows the dimensions.

  • Do You Carry the Replacement Ball # R19310?
I believe you may be referring to the Gooseneck Hitch Ball with 2-5/16" Diameter # 19310. This ball is 3-1/8" and has a 1-3/4" outer diameter. As far as weight capacity, it is rated for 25k pounds. I went ahead and attached an image that shows these dimensions. The ball is compatible with select Draw-Tite, Reese, and Hidden-Hitch gooseneck hitches that sit in fifth wheel rails.

  • Needing Taller Goosenck Ball to Provide Clearance for Bed Rails
The only taller gooseneck hitch ball that we offer is part # 19306, which will work only with Reese or Draw-Tite Hide-a-Goose model # 9460, 9461, 9462 or 9463. Is your current gooseneck coupler adjustable? If not, an adjustable coupler might be your best bet. I will provide a link to our selection of adjustable couplers.

  • Troubleshooting Reese Fifth Wheel Rail to Gooseneck Adapter with Play in Ball
You'd want to inspect the hitch ball and the base of your # RP58079 that you have to determine if there is any wear. If the ball shank seems worn then you'd want to replace it with the part # 19310 that you referenced. If the base is worn you'd need to replace the entire part # RP58079. If the base is worn you'd want to verify too that you aren't exceeding the 25k capacity of the plate. Welding the ball would not be ideal either as it will void the warranty of the adapter.

  • What Holds the Replacement Gooseneck Ball # 19310 in Place
Gooseneck ball # 19310 is a replacement for several discontinued hitches as well as gooseneck plate # RP58079. It is held in with a snap ring # 30556. Which adapter do you have? I may be able to determine if this or another ball will fit.

  • What Are The Differences Between Standard Trailer Hitch And Gooseneck Hitch Balls
The size of the hitch ball itself is the same but there are differences between the standard hitch balls and a gooseneck ball. The shank on a standard hitch ball like the hitch ball you came from, part # BWHB94005, is threaded so that the nut can be used to tighten it to the balll mount. On a gooseneck ball they are typically designed to fit a specific gooseneck hitch. For example, a hitch ball for a B&W Turnover Gooseneck Hitch like part # BWGNXA2005 has a square shank that is a specific...

  • Type of Gooseneck Hitch That Uses a Cable to Release the Hitch Ball
I know of the PopUp and Cody brands of gooseneck hitches that use a cable ball release mechanism, and also of adapters from Ranch Hitch that use a cable release, such as their # AM3100 and # AM3139. These adapters are for use when pulling a 5th wheel trailer with a gooseneck hitch. The cable on these adapters releases the adapter base from the gooseneck ball.

  • Replacement Parts for Gooseneck Hitch in 2003 GMC Sierra 2500HD
If the gooseneck hitch on the used truck you bought is intact and functional, then there are several options for adapters that will allow this truck/hitch to pull a 5th wheel trailer. These adapters differ in cost, how they install and in how much additional stress they will impart to the trailer's frame. This is something to consider since some trailer frame warranties will be voided if an adapter is used. Check with the maker of your trailer, using its VIN, to find out their take on use...
