Drawbar sold separately.not for the novice, it is a two person installation, the weigh of the hitch makes it too heavy to hold up and try to mark where the 1" hole has to be drilled in the frame, fishing for the brackets and bolts requires a bit of skill & patience, the 40 min est. of time to complete installation is inaccurate, a pro might get it done in 40 minutes in a shop with a lift. I received the hitch in a timely manner, but the box although heavy duty corrugated cardboard was torn and one of the mounting flanges was jutting out of the box. All hardware and instructions were complete and intact. Paint was chipped but not a show stopper.
This is my second Draw Tite receiver hitch that I've purchased in the last year.
The first hitch was really easy to install. This one was not. Please note this is not the fault of the hitch but of the way the car is made. The holes are there but under a cover.
When the instructions said you have to lower the exhaust and drill into the frame, we knew this was way above our skill set. Not to mention that this 2020 Corolla sits really low to the ground leaving about 3" above our noses.
We took this to a professional to install.
I'm only giving two stars because of the level of difficulty to install the hitch.
I know I'll be pleased with the hitch because I use it to haul my bikes.
The hitch is solid and fits perfect. The etrailer.com website ensured me that I was purchasing the correct part for my vehicle.
The pdf instructions are very helpful. At first I was a little intimidated by the instructions. I saved $100 installing the hitch myself. The only challenge I had was lifting the hitch up to the car. I used a floor jack and had to balance the hitch to line up with the holes. Note I installed by myself, it would have been easier with a helper. Other than that the install was straight forward. This is the 2nd hitch I purchased from them. Awesome product and support from etrailer.
The instructions are incomplete, but we managed to get the hitch installed. The plastic shroud under the spare tire also has to be cut, and you cannot install the shroud after the hitch is secured. You cannot install the hitch before the shroud, either. You have to secure the two bolts towards the front of the car halfway, let the hitch hang, then slide the shroud in and secure it before securing the other two bolts on the hitch.
It would be very helpful if we had a template (something printed on paper, or a link to a PDF on the website where we could print it ourselves) so that we could cut it out, stick it to the car with a magnet or something to mark where we have to drill.
Hitch is great and the instal was basically easy to do. Could have been faster with two people and the instructions didn’t include cutting the new cover Toyota has on the car. Have to keep the hitch loose until you instal the cover under it and then go back and tighten the nuts. Besides that would have given a 5 star for sure.
I Purchased this trailer hitch for my 2021 Toyota Corolla Hybrid and it fits perfect. I have had no problems/issues at all with this trailer hitch. I use it for my bike rack to haul my E-bike around.
Easy to instal.. didn't realized how heavy it was going to be so I had some help with two car jacks.
Note: make sure you use scissors specialized for metal sheets. You wont get far with regular scissors. ??
Very pleased with the unit, not first one i ordered from etrailer.... Was odd under my 2020 Corolla, when i removed that plastic cover (that makes little sense that Toyota would do this) i expected the body to be drastically misformed for them to add that for aerodynamics, but they couldve just formed the trunk to allow bit more storage, and not wasted the time on this plastic piece, but got that piece cut easily, & reinstalled around the hitch mounts..... its super to have this for my bike mount & little trailer i have.. a 4 x 6 which tracks perfectly behind my car....

We had to wait for the hitch to be manufactured but were kept informed which was greatly appreciated. Will definitely buy frim them again.
No issues. I purchased it, partially because it didn't have a huge logo on it, like the ones you get at other places. Other than that, it functions perfectly. I wish I had been able to use it more, but during the pandemic, I didn't do much traveling. I've actually owned this almost 2 years now.
