Completely Hidden for a Clean, Factory Look
The EcoHitch Invisi trailer hitch is designed to be completely out of sight. The hitch cross tube bolts onto your vehicle's frame, behind the body of your vehicle. No drilling or welding is required. The receiver portion of the hitch will sit just behind the factory knockout panel in your bumper. Just pop the panel off to tow and put it back on again for a from-the-factory look when you're done using the hitch.

Really easy to install and durable product! Really solid fitment on a 2020 wrx sti. I highly recommend cutting the bottom of your bumper to make placing trailer pins less of a chore.

It’s been a year since installation. I use it for my bike rack on my ‘21 WRX. Install was done by myself and was a little more involved than my Forester and Outback installations but the clean look is totally worth it.

2019 Subaru WRX
This was on the only hitch receiver option that I could find that used the factory knockout on my 2019 WRX. I really did not want to use an under-mount receiver because of reduced clearance. Also, it would place my bike rack too close to the exhaust.
Installation was fairly complex compared to the last receiver that I installed (on a different vehicle). However, I expected this after viewing the installation video. The video was very helpful.
I have been very happy with the product so far. Placing a locking hitch pin is a bit of a pain, but I plan to leave my bike rack attached to the car most of time, so this is not a big deal for me.

I'm very happy with this product, and it met my expectations. I usually load up a rooftop tent for camping, so that leaves no room for my mountain bikes. I wanted to make my WRX more capable to being an overall great car for outdoor activities by adding this ecohitch. Now I can also add a basket to load more cargo if necessary. Installation was easy to follow, and I recommend having at least one person to help you. It will make the installation process a lot easier. I also found the etrailer installation video very helpful and easy to follow.

Excellent product, fit and finish. However they need to change the mounting hardware. Good quality but they are plain nuts and bolts. Unless you have an impact wrench, they will just spin inside the frame and not tighten. I’ve installed a lot of hitch’s and if you can’t get at the backside of the bolt. They will supply carriage bolts with backing plates that are long enough that they won’t spin inside the frame. Would be simple for this manufacture to include them with this hitch. Also not crazy about the double cost compared to other hitch’s. But I really didn’t want to see my hitch or lose the ground clearance.

The only hitch I'd recommend for the WRX. It lines up perfectly with the rear access port. You can not tell you have a hitch unless you remove the access port cover. Use it with our 1-Up USA bike rack. Just be warned, its a lot of work to install, but worth it.

I love this hitch! It was worth every extra dollar to have the hidden design that doesn't affect my Subie's already pretty low clearance. It is convenient and well hidden. I just pop out the panel for the 3rd brake light and the receiver is right there. When I'm not using it, I don't need any plug because it is covered by the panel in the car. It is a little difficult to reach inside to put any pins or bolts through a hitch or rack, but it is doable with small hands and patience.

2015 Subaru WRX
Love it. The Q&A on this site it sounded like I wasn't going to be able to use my Thule T2 Pro XT rack but with an adapter (I got a high-low adapter, you could use an extender as well but I wanted the smallest adapter I could find which ended up being a 4-inch high-low for ~$60) I was able to make it work. The only downside to this method is that it causes the hitch to stick pretty far out from the back of the car (pictured).
Installation wasn't that bad, it ended up taking two days because I stripped the bolts on the actual bumper and that took me forever to figure out but if not for that this was probably about 3 hours to install with no mechanical know-how.

I got the 2" hitch and wiring harness for my '15 WRX. Both installed without issue; the fit was spot-on and the instructions were clear (watching videos always helps). The hitch is completely hidden, but that does make attaching a bike rack or ball mount a pain in the butt - having small hands would help. The wiring harness works perfectly.

2020 Subaru WRX
Absolutely amazing trailer hitch, very easy to install and very robust unit. Quality material was used, I feel like I could load up a car hauler and drag around stuff in my WRX. This will be used for a bike rack but during the install I said “this is overkill but for the price, it’s worth it”. Would recommend this to anyone. Someone with e 10mm, 14mm, and a 19mm socket could easily install this on a nice day with a drink of your choice.

The hitch was very difficult to install without a lift. I couldn't reach the exhaust hanger in the middle of the car and therefore the mufflers were in the way the whole time. The hitch works great and it's gone with the cover back on. The hitch was shipped in a box without any packing material which caused it to punch holes in the box as well as get all chipped and scratched up. Overall, if you get a lift and a friend (like the video says) and ignore the shipping damages, you'll be very happy having this very clean and useful hitch.

I’ve bought two hitches for two cars one was a 2019 Subaru cross trek and the other 2020 Subaru WRXSTI. Delivery was only a few days not too bad considering it ships from Missouri and I live in California. Excellent quality and excellent fit. It only took me a half hour for the cross track and about 3 Hours for the WRX. Watching the videos were Very helpful. Thank you, Mitch.

2021 Subaru WRX
This hitch fit exactly as described. Install was straightforward! Watching the video provided, before starting, really made installation easier. The paper instructions are good, but the video puts all the pieces together. Pro tip - you do not need to cut your bumper at all (save for the bumpout cutting which is necessary) just leave some of the clips out like they recommend and give yourself room to get your arm angled in the right manner in order to get your locking mechanisms through the hole. Also, tin snips work well for all required cutting.
I really like the invisi-ness of the hitch, location and no loss of clearance! I will be using this for carrying my mountain bike around, way better than putting it on the roof like my old WRX! It can support a dirtbike/pit bike so those will be coming soon enough.

Simply amazing!
No rattles, great fitment and above all a great video delineating all the details on every screw and clamp removal. I did this on my own without raising the car on jack stands or even dropping the rear hanger bushing. Total install time thanks to the video was under 2 hours and that included cleanup!
Also the hitch was delivered quickly so I got a jump on it before the weekend came. Very happy with etrailer and this hitch. I’ve gotten a few from etrailer already including one for my S2000 a few years ago that worked perfectly.

I like it a lot. It’s nice how if I don’t want it to be seen then I can take the ball out and out the cover in and nobody will know I even have a hitch. But the hitch has worked great. My only issue is it’s difficult to get the pin in for the ball hitch but that’s a minor issue. And I expected that from getting the hitch that’s hidden. So I have no complaints.

This hitch is incredible! Easy install if you have some background in working on cars because there is a lot to disassemble and reassemble. However the amount of work is so worth it to have this hitch hidden up behind the bumper.

- Will the Eco Hitch Invisi Hitch Work with my 1UP Bike RackThe EcoHitch Invisi Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 306-X7257 is a 2" x 2" receiver tune opening. While we do not sell the 1UP from what I have seen of them they come in the 2" x 2" variety. If your is 2" compatible it will work out great for you. The only thing to be sure of is that you will need to have less than 2.5" of shank behind the pin hole on your rack for the holes to line up.
