Got real person on the phone who helped me find the closest part (Wheel bearing grease seal) for a Snowbear trailer that had been discontinued years ago. Parts arrived ahead of schedule and appear to be a reasonable fit.

Last week I started thinking about my kayak trailer and what repairs needed to be completed before the spring and summer usage.

In 2011 I converted a small sailboat trailer to a two place kayak trailer. I ordered bearing kits wheels and tires at that time from e trailer. Every year I pull the wheels and grease the bearings and I install new grease seals. Last year when I was doing my maintenance I found that the bearing races were lightly rusted and pitted because the trailer was buried under a large snowfall. The bearings were fine and I cleaned up the races with steel wool. I decided I would replace everything come winter. I ordered bearing caps to replace my old dented caps hoping that this will keep the bearings dryer. I made a place in the garage to keep the trailer from the weather.

I placed a call to you guys and was greeted by a very friendly voice on the other end of the phone. Brandon was able to find my past order saving me time and effort. (My filing system could be better.) He was able to e-mail me copies of my previous orders and shortly there after I placed my order on line for new bearing kits and a few extra seals and well you know the rest. I tell everyone about the excellent service I get from etrailer.com.

keep up the good work.

Its very nice that you would follow up. The products I purchased performed perfectly. I am only able to purchase the double lip seals through you. I cannot find them localy. Thank you for selling a superior product.

I have a 1994 Shorelander boat trailer. I noticed one of the seals was leaking so went on a quest to find two seals. I won't name all of the retailers I drove to and looked on line to buy the seals. Boat dealers, farm stores, auto stores and Shorelander trailer dealers, etc. I could not find this size of seal anywhere. I could find the correct diameter but not 1/4 inch depth. I did not check Ama_zon since canceling my account for political reasons. Anyway, I recalled etrailer and ordered them with no problems. The seals are of excellent quality and arrived within a few days. I really liked etrailer keeping me posted on the shipment (including when package was put in mail box) throughout the order process. I ordered two extra spares because the price was very competitive. I have been pleased with etrailer in the past and will order from them again.

Just repacked bearings with new seals on my 4' x 8' folding utility trailer. Customer service was great in helping me with selecting the right parts including cotter pins. All is good now. I have been ordering from etrailer for 10 + years. Great place with great people!

I live in Northern Ontario (Canada) and I was having a difficult time finding these specific grease seals until I came upon the etrailer website. I ordered the seals and delivery was very fast and exactly what I needed! Thank you etrailer.

by:

Whenever I need these, I order them from etrailer. They're inexpensive but well made. They suit my purpose as each year I replace them. Thanks etrailer !

Comments
I replace these at the beginning of each season.

Very low price, but look like they will perform fine. I was having trouble finding this seal local. Your web site had the dimensional information I needed when I did not have a part number. "This Old Trailer" has a ways to go and it looks like you have the replacement lights I will need.

Comments
Trailer repair complete but has not been used.

Item was correct, because I did the necessary research before ordering. The price was right. Item arrived quickly. I buy most of my stuff pertaining to trailers etc. from etrailer and have never been disappointed.

Josh helped me with my order at 5:00pm Friday afternoon. Part arrived 3 days later. Installation and testing complete. I'm all set now.

Thanks Josh!

Product fixed by old leaky seal and fit perfectly. Have been using trailer for a year and no leaks. Excellent product will order again if ever needed!

etrailer web site worked great for finding the correct idler hubs for my 1997 snowmobile trailer. The hubs had an unusual seal size so I had to mix and match a little to get the correct sizes. Everything went together as expected and it is now ready for the road again.

by:

I bought these for my Harbor Freight pull behind trailer for my motorcycle. They arrived fast and are far superior to the OEM seals that the trailer used.

by:

Double lip seal was used on my Jet Ski Trailer hubs. I feel confident they will keep the grease in and the water and dirt out. Easy to install and a perfect fit.

Quick delivery

I just finished putting a thousand miles on the new boat trailer bearings and seals that I got from you---all is well----no problems. Thank you for a good sound product.

Wheel bearings are one of those things that you never want to hear from. The new bearings have worked perfectly. My brother orders from you now too and he has had great success also.

product worked great as listed

Incredibly fast! I am very happy with you guys. I tried an order from another company and the experience was not as good. I have ordered trailer parts for 10 plus years from you and never had an issue at all. My business will stay with you. When I want to go fishing i need to find parts fast and see them delivered promptly. Thank you for the best service I can find.

I needed new seals for our boat trailer,(which we are giving to our grandson as a gift) and I bought two different types from our local bearing supply store. Then I saw the double lip seals at etrailer.com. So I ordered a set and waited for them to arrive. When they arrived there was such a difference between them and the Timken seals. There was no doubt that I would use the etrailer seals! I've made up a fact sheet for the trailer and boat maintenance parts. Included is the etrailer website and the seal numbers. This is a high quality product! When I replace the bearings and seals on our utility trailer I will use etrailer seals again!

Very quality seals at a great price.

by:

I originally started googling the old c/r number on my old seal and found a replacement number at etrailer.com . The price was really low so I ordered some extra spares and I am happy I did. The seals were a perfect fit and have the trailer back on the road. I ordered the seals for my brother in law and had them shipped to his address. Unfortunately I used a Frankenstein address (part his_part mine) and didn't notice the mistake until after they had shipped. I contacted customer service and told them about the mistake. They were so helpful and got everything straightened out in just a few courteous minutes. Etrailers' customer service is the best customer service I have ever experienced. The lady customer service person was so unbelievably courteous and professional. As I said early, we received the seals and they are of excellent quality for seals and you will never beat their customer service. Good place to buy your hard to find trailer parts at a great price. Many thanks to etrailer.com and customer service.

I have had the seals installed for over a year now and no problem at all with any of the seals. Still very happy that I did business with etrailer.com. One of my favorite websites.

I got the wrong seals that would not fit this trailer. Since they were only $x I just threw away the new seals and reused the old ones. One still leaks.

I am the wanna-be gear head. I own two cars, a full size passenger van, and a tandem axle trailer for a 20' pontoon boat. As a retired carpenter I have a fairly good mind in things mechanical. Unfortunately, erwhen dealing with vehicles my track record has a fairing grade. I happened upon the fine people at etrailer quite by accident. That was summer of '16 and my life has changed. I needed to replace the wheel bearings on the trailer. Got a price from my usual guy and there was no way I could justify that amount of money. Many Utube videos later I was still starry-eyed with no confidence. I trolled the web for trailer parts and found etrailer. I told the female voice on the other end my project and that I had no clue ----clueless!!! She was fabulous. She knew all the right questions and the next thing I knew I was up to my elbows in bearing grease with a job well done. I have called since then on other projects that turned out to be carbon copies of the first order. They are professional, knowledgeable, and eager to make sure that whatever your project is it will turn out a success. Do not hesitate to call. I know I won'. You won' be disappointed. Thank you, etrailer!

  • How to Determine the Correct Size Grease Seal for a Forest River Shamrock Trailer
The best way to determine what seal you will need for your trailer is to find the bearing numbers stamped onto the back side of the bearings. There will be an inner and outer bearing. With that information, I can pin point the correct seal you will need. You can also measure the inner diameter of the seal and the outer diameter. The measurements have to be as accurate as possible so I recommend using dial calipers to measure it. For seal # 34823 that you have referenced, the inner diameter...

  • Availability of Replacement Grease Seal w/ 1.25 Inch Inside Diameter and 1.98 Inch Outside Diameter
Given the measurements you provided, the TruRyde # 34823 double lip seal would be the correct replacement seal for your boat trailer. I tried doing a Google search for the YTI203205 seal you mentioned, and got no results. Just to be sure, I'd recommend using a digital caliper and measuring the inside hub bore to ensure its about 1.98 and the spindle surface that the seal rides on to be sure its about 1.25 inches. If that checks out, the # 34823 seal which has a 1.983 OD and a 1.249 Inch...

  • Why Would Seals Leak after Installation of Kodiak XL ProLube Kit
I spoke to my contact at Kodiak and he informed me that he sees this problem a few times a week and it's always because the trailer is an EZ loader or a Tinker trailer that actually has 1.683 spindles instead of 1.72 and that is why the seals leak. The only real solution I can provide for you would be to go back to your previous setup or look into replacing your spindles or axles.

  • Grease Seal Installation on 1985 Coleman Versa Trailer
It should not matter whether the grease seal is fitted flush or slightly below the point of being flush to your hub's inner surface. What matters is that it does its job - retaining your bearing grease inside your hubs. Its always a good idea to keep an eye on your hubs anyway, so you can periodically check for any leaking grease. As long as you have no issues with that you do not need to be concerned about the different positions of the two seals.

This seal, # 34823, is a compatible cross-reference for the Transcom 12192. Its inner diameter is 1.249 inches and is outer diameter is 1.983 inches. You can measure your hub's inner bore to determine if this seal's outer diameter matches. It should, but typically the letter we see at the end of that part number is TB.

  • Replacement Grease Seal Recommendation to Replace 20305 on Hub
Since the inner diameter of a grease seal is rubber it can be hard to get an exact figure. It sounds like the # 34823 would be close enough as a fit as it has an outer diameter of 1.983 and an inner diameter of 1.249 but your best option would be to measure the outer diameter of the spindle where the seal rides to get the exact figure.

When you measure with a caliper, use the inner and outer diametes to help you find the right seal. On TruRyde's Double Lip Grease Seal, # 34823, we give you measurements that are extremely close to what you sent in your question. The very slight variance could be the wear on an old seal and the compression to put the seal in or take it out of the hub. These seals are a very snug fit to prevent grease leak and keep debris out of the bearings, so there really isn't much play. You can...

This being said, from what I found the 471750 is described as a oil or a grease seal while the # 34823 seal we offer is best suited for grease.
