Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.
Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.
In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

Easily attach a variety of accessories to the front of your vehicle with this fully welded, corrosion-resistant trailer hitch receiver. Perfect for winches, spare tire carriers and more.Very happy with the fit and function. Install was very straightforward
Must have had a bit tighter fit on my truck than shown in the installation video—couldn’t keep the spacers lined up or jockey them back in place while trying to keep everything steady doing it by myself. I pulled it back out and spot welded the spacers to the hitch but still had trouble with the wires binding up on one side. It ended up being easier feeding the wires through from inside the frame out after the holes were already lined up—wished I had done it that way first for the front-frame bolts. Otherwise, great video. Thanks.
Shows up with nuts and bolts sitting on the ground and was told tracking number is not applicable for a damage claim. How do I know it’s all there for install until I get started?
I installed this on the front of a 2018 F350. Fit an finish is great. Install was easy and directions simple to follow. Having another set of hands was very helpful, else it would be a balancing act I imagine. No drilling needed except for the cutout in the valence. My use is a cargo basket for four bikes and a kayak rack when pulling my fifth wheel. I have a receiver splitter that allows me to have both the basket and Yak rack mounted at the same time. Load up the toys and go...
When the rear hitch is not available - use the front! This was perfect. Thanks!
Service and shipment was excellent and very much appreciated. Install was less than two hours in the driveway. Other videos were right about directions making the hole to large but other than that fairly simple install. Looking forward to putting it to use!
This was the best thing for my truck. It handles my electric bike rack and bikes with flying colors.
Front mount trailer hitch is solid. Watched the video a couple times helps the install.Gotta say though first time ordering with etrailer and shipping took a long time with usps. Ordered on 3/8 AM. and finally arrived 3/19. Couldn’t get tracking info other than usps texting going to next Facility where ever that was. box was damaged and hitch had scrapes where it punched through the box. I think it was Russias fault.
I mounted this on my F450 the day I received it. Although some of the details from your instructional install video varied for my vehicle, the advice to remove the bumper was spot-on. I thought it might be a lot of trouble to do so, but it was simple, and it allowed me easy access. I did not even have to use the wires to fish the bolts through. This receiver will be used for a big bed extender (goal post) in conjunction with a single roof rail to haul our kayaks while towing our 5th wheel. We’ve used this setup on our previous truck, an F250, for 4 years and can’t stand the thought of leaving the kayaks at home. Next up, figuring out the rail for the roof.
Seems to finally fit ok. Was not even close to the 30-60 mins advertised. I am an auto and aviation mechanic and very adept around tools, yet this took an honest 3 hours to install. I do have the 6.7 with the cooler, so I had to take off the front bumper and bend the tabs as the directions state. Not a horrible job, but did take some time. Btw, easier to take off all 4 bolts on each side and remove the outer rear bumper brackets.
Would be nice to have a better diagram of where to cut the hole for the hitch. Seemed like I did what the directions said, yet it was off center a tad and I had to widen the passenger side so it looks even. Again, not terrible, but how hard would it be for them to have a couple exact measurements for us?
The spring fish lines were not needed if you remove the bumper.
My original problem was I had ordered the Curt unit which shows for my rig. It will not fit around the cooler. I called CS and they told me a tech will call me back soon to see if they might have a “work around.” This was at 2 pm. No call the rest of the day. I called back 2 days later to ask for help. This CS agent said she will expedite a call from tech to me. Nothing for a week.
I ended up returning the Curt, and ordering the Draw Tight, since the agent did say that one shows will work. Disappointed that no tech called me back to help. Would have been so much easier to make the Curt work vs repairing the shipping box, print out labels, and go find a UPS drop.
I purchased the Thule goal posts also as my plan is to carry 2 kayaks in the front of my fifth wheel. Fyi, the height max is about 6” below the plane of my rack on this truck (2021 F350 6.7 dually Fx4). The measurements on the site are accurate, but I didn’t think to check since this one was the tallest offered, and a Ford truck should be fairly common.(?)
In summary: do not use the Curt for a 2019-2022 F350 with the 6.7 and/or dually with the extra cooler.
Hitch worked great for backing in equipment in our shed.
The only negative was the hitch had some of the paint rubbed off of it where it broke a hole though the box it was shipped in. Installation instructions could be improved a little. My truck had the skid plates on each frame rail so i did not need the spacers in the kit. But i had to loosen both skid plates up to get enough wiggle room to install the hitch and it would be great if they would add that step to the instructions. The hitch went right in after loosening them. I really like this hitch and would for sure buy again.
E-trailer gave me great advice the hitch fits perfectly and is incredibly useful on the front of the truck
The Draw-Tite Front Mount Hitch Receiver was a perfect fit on my 2019 F-350. The instructions and the installation video made installation straight forward. It is possible to install in your driveway - just have a couple of 5 gallon buckets handy to support the receiver while you line everything up and move it into place. Also note that if your Ford has bash plates installed on the frame where the receiver is mounted you will NOT need to install the spacers provided with the receiver.
Pretty much a strait bolt up job. Trickiest part was cutting the plastic shroud so the hitch could be mounted just below the bumper. I use this hitch when I need exacting placement of trailers and to load extra gear on a hitch hauler on the front of my truck... I love the extra space.
I installed it myself. The parts fit perfectly. I love it.
I would enhance the instructions a bit. I read them more than once to understand the principle. But once I got it no big issues.
They have done an excellent job with this hitch
As my normal experience with etrailer, shipping was fast and communication was great. Even an email to customer service I sent on Sunday morning, expecting an answer from someone Monday, was actually answered later that day. As with previous hitches I have ordered from etrailer the hardware was securely taped to the hitch itself - a good idea considering the boxes almost always show some damage from the delivery process. The hitch appears well made and fit as it should. The installation video on the etrailer website was very helpful (note the presenter calls it a Curt hitch, but the Draw-tite part number is displayed.) I did find it easier to wait until after the hitch was held in place with the lower fasteners before I ran the fish wires for the other two on each side. This was installed on a 2020 F250 and the skid plates (aka compatibility brackets, "Prius catchers") were left in place. Spacers were included to allow for brackets not being present.
As with most of my products from etrailer.com, the hitch arrived as promised. I unpacked the box, read the instructions, watched the video and went to work. I must admit, the video was far more helpful than the Curt instructions. However, as another customer mentioned, I did not need the spacers on my 2020 F350. Otherwise, the installation went as I expected (NOTE: the Curt instructions suggest 30 minutes for a qualified installer to complete the task - it took me quite a bit longer).
Awesome hitch. I can put my 35 foot trailer, ANYWHERE, with ease.
The best part about this is the installation video on the etrailer website. Note that the spacers are only needed on one side (instead of on both sides) for a proper fit on the 2021 F-350 Tremor. Also, there's no need to cut the air dam on the Tremor since this version of the F-350 has a shorter air dam. The hitch fits underneath the air dam perfectly with no cutting required, so you can skip that step!
Hitch works very well. Good quality, easy to install, fit my Ford F250 perfect. I
Hitch itself is fine. Instructions were not accurate. I had to remove both 4x4 brackets on the frame rail for it to fit between the rails. There was approx 1/16" play, so I inserted a washer so it would be snug. Wasted alot of time and energy trying to follow the instruction. Mfg error. Have photos but unless you're mounting it on your 2021 Superduty 4x4, they wouldn't make sense.
Great fit on 2019 ford f350. On installation I removed the lower air dam to locate the cut lines for the hole location. This allowed me to accurately measure down from the bumper for horizontal cuts and locate the vertical cut lines measuring off the center bolt hole in the dam. My hole was cut size on size to the receiver leaving no excessive gaps and a very clean installation.
Great Product straightforward install.
Use it for front fish rack. Works fantastic. Plan is to use with front winch assembly as well.
I ordered this for a '22 F350 even though Draw-Tite still hadn't confirmed the fit (as of 11/21). Based on similar products fitting both a '21 and '22 it seemed to make sense and yes, it does fit. A little rough installing it alone on the ground with skid plates, but certainly doable. The Draw-Tite version sits a little higher than others for better ground clearance making this the better choice. As always, etrailer's service was great!
