Accidents happen, if you roll a bike back too far in the carrier tray, it can loosen the rear end cap, and then it dislodges on the road and you need a new one.

These endcaps dress up the wheel tray very nicely. They have a tendency to fall off especially in very cold weather. So it is nice to have a couple of them around as replacement parts. Without the caps, the trays look a little "unfinished".63837

The endcap is necessary to keep the rear wheel strap falling of the Thule. Unfortunately it is only snapped in place and can easily be taken off or fall off hence the reason to replace it. 188675

I like the product quality and the ways the rack looks. I have a hard time to install this caps. Maybe my trays are different . I made a small modification and ready. It protect your hands when washing the racks prevents the stap to get out of the tray. And improve the overall look of the racks.257097
