Today, we're going to review part number 853-7803. This is the Thule replacement rubber strap for the Thule raceway platform style bike racks. Now this strap is used to hold down your bike to the bike rack cradle. One end here would attach to one side of the bike rack cradle. This will run over your frame of your bike. The other end attaches to the other side.
It holds your bike in place on the cradle. Now this rubber strap will replace a lost or damaged strap that's on your Thule raceway platform style bike rack. This part is for a quantity of one strap. If you notice on this strap, there are 10 holes. The holes are on 1 inch centers. If you measure hole to hole, center to center, it'll be 1 inch.
The total length from edge to edge on this strap is going to be right at 11 and 3/8ths inches. The diameter of each one of those holes is right at half inch diameter. But that should do it for the review on part number 853-7803. This is the Thule replacement rubber strap for the Thule raceway platform style bike racks.

My wife purchased a new mountain bike, but the straps on my Thule bike rack weren't long enough to wrap it securely due to the thickness of the bar. You have requested a review write up on my purchase. Even though this was a relatively minor purchase of hold down rubber straps for my bike, on my Thule' Bike Rack, they are extremely important part, when transporting my bike to my local trail heads. ETrailer's service and follow through is excellent, professional and friendly. I would definitely recommend them!

The replacement wheel strap works perfectly on my Thule Raceway Pro 2 Platform bike rack.I have been using the part for a year and the straps are a little softer and more elastic and functioning well. I decided to order a couple more straps but had to pay shipping again—-I should have bought more initially but wanted to make sure they worked well.

I've been looking for these for a while! Very hard to find the extra long straps for my trunk mounted Thule bike rack, I'd been using a bungee cord. Quick shipping and exactly the same as the original straps.

The straps fit perfectly a bike trailer company that went out of business. I am ordering 4 more. If you have a Softride bike hitch, these fit it perfectly with various bikes. They were long enough. Saved me money

Not what I expected! The straps are much narrower than O.E.M and so hard it's almost impossible to stretch to the next hole.

This strap is rigid…no elasticity whatsoever. This product is not useful.

Thank you for your review. These straps are meant to not stretch too much so your bike wheels will not bounce around your bike carrier. We do not have any longer straps for this specific bike carrier.

- 10 Hole Thule Bike Rack Strap RecommendationI believe I have a solution for you, but my contact at Thule strongly recommended you only use the recommended strap for your bike rack, and not try and use one designed for a different rack. That being said the part # 853-7803 is 9 inches long and has 10 holes.
