I ordered this as a replacement for my pull trailer. It's still in perfect shape a year later and working great!

by:

Does what it’s supposed to do without a “smoke” test!

by:

Simple, but effective. This part was a real life saver and does what it is supposed to do.

by:

I have never dealt with a company that is so helpful, I am extremely thankful for all your advice, both before purchase and after when I had installation questions. I highly recommend your products and services!

by:

I think they are designed to be “slow trip” I put about 65 Amps through it for ~40 seconds before it tripped. Nice form factor

by:

I followed the detailed instructions from etrailer’s video to add a 7pin trailer harness and ebrake controller for my 2010 Dodge Dakota Big Horn. I ordered the 30 amp and the 40 amp circuit breakers for the 12 volts and ebrake controller power supply. The order came in with a 30 amp and a 20 amp breakers instead. I contacted etrailer about the mistake and etrailer sent the correct 40 amp right away without hesitation. Etrailer has been a great source of information and they have the best customer service out there. Thank you!!

by:

Excellent quality and strength. Why skimp on something as important as your hitch? I have purchased three of these Draw Tites - I guess a repeat customer will scream about the true quality a company can garner from repeat customers. When you pull show cars worth six figures, you can't afford a poorly made hitch.
Step up, step out, and don't fret what you are pulling.

by:

Circuit breaker does what it should, I hope. Mounting bracket come off fairly easily, which was a bit disappointing. Happy about the different colored terminals. So far so good, its much nicer having power from my tow vehicle to my trailer.

Items Arrived a day later than I was led to believe by email, but still arrived quickly. Items were as expected and I had not problems installing components on my vehicle. One big concern for me was the way items were packed, the 7 way RV connector was in box loose with steel washers(which were in a plastic bag with the circuit breaker.....loose)as well as the T-connector(which WAS in its own package). I'm grateful the 7 way was not damaged being loose with other items as items were only seperated by a crumpled peice of paper. Wires can be tricky when they get rubbed/ripped/stripped. As I stated I'm grateful this was not the case but hopefully any future items will be better packed. I will recomend this company for prices, item variety and promptness of item delivery.

I ordered everything to add trailer brake hookups to a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500. I got:
Correct parts,
Great price,
Shipped promptly.
and Clear instructions included with Tekonsha controller.

All three (3) In-Line Circuit Breakers I purchased (9510, 38630 & 9506P) met my expectations based on web page information reviewed prior to placing an order. The installation instructions received were excellent and easy to follow. Each performed well throughout the summer and fall 2017 on several extended vacations in western North America.

by:

This circuit breaker for electric trailer brakes is working fine after a year's use. No complaints. Good reputable company to deal with.

by:

Items were exactly as described and have me the exact parts I needed for Dodge. I used etrailer.com once before for trailer wiring parts. You can beat their parts availability on each different project.. The online instructions for each vehicle wiring sold me on their site.. Thanks again

by:

adapter works good. Was easy to install. Power light stays on as it should. The left turn, right turn, and running lights stay on faint to. Pulled my trailer 550 miles and no problems

by:

Have only been able to use our trailer on a couple of outings but every thing worked perfect.

Erret L.

No problems.

by:

Right product, Great service. I always shop with them when I need anything for my rv or trailers.

by:

I ordered the Drawtite Activator II with associated wiring. The unit was bench-tested where I became familiar with its operation. The digitally displayed output is a big plus, as I expected it to be. Stephanie was very helpful in assisting with my order and order status emails home. I spent a good hour under the truck finding the best wiring route and wire-tying everything, and close to 4 hours total to complete.

by:

After a year of use I would still recomend this kit and ordering it from etrailer. I was able to install it myself using their instructions and videos. You can buy with confidence here.

by:

Needed for my installation. etrailer staff was very helpful in helping me order all the pieces that I needed.

by:

Works great - once I got the wiring installed this thing had no issues with my trailer.

by:

I ordered this controller and additional parts from Laser. Before committing to buying, I asked him many questions. He answered them all in about a clear and concise way as possible while presenting a picture of how to install the device. It arrived today and I haven't started, but he also emphasized that I could call if I ran into any difficulties. I'll follow up when the job is complete. My experience in this context could not have been better.
Michael

by:

Everything was as advertised, and thank you Kaylyn R for your wonderful customer service. It took awhile to get everything installed, because of crazy events in the past year, but it all works great!

by:

All around very positive experience.
I
placed an online order and thirty seconds later realized I'd missed one item on my list. Called and s/w Jennifer who fixed it all 1-2-3. Order arrived sooner than expected. I will be back in the future.

by:

Great service, and research given with the representative to order the correct parts needed. I am a returning customer for this reason and will again in the future.

by:

Easy installation works as expected

  • Troubleshooting A Tekonsha RF Prodigy Brake Controller That Won't Pair To The Remote
If your 7-way only has the 4-pole connector running to it and there isn't a fused line ran from it to the battery then you only have light functions going back to the trailer and nothing sending power for the brake controller to actually function. You need some 10 gauge wire # 10-1-1 and will need to connect it to the pin in the 1 o'clock position when looking at the face of the 7-way connector on the CX-9 (11 o'clock position from the back side). You'll want to use a 40 amp circuit breaker...

  • How to Activate Charge Circuit of 2020 Jeep Cherokee 7-Way
The least expensive way to activate the charge circuit of your 2020 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk's 7-way will be to run a length of 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 (sold by foot) from the positive post of the vehicle battery to the 1:00 pin of the 7-way through a breaker like part # 9510.

  • Can Prodigy RF Brake Controller Install on 2015 Jeep Cherokee
As long as the 12 volt accessory circuit is active on the 7-way of your 2015 Jeep Cherokee (1:00 pin) and the turn signal circuits are also working then the Prodigy RF part # TK94FR would work well for you. If you needed to complete the circuit all you would need is a length of 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 (sold by foot) to run to the vehicle battery through a breaker like part # 9510 and the controller would be active.

  • Installing Brake Controller and 7-way Trailer Connector on 1991 GMC 1500
From your question, it sounds like there is two wires on the brake controller, plus a few on the 7-way trailer connector you are not sure about, is that correct? Take a look at our 4-pole to 7-way adapter, part # 37185. In addition to the lighting circuits, there are four additional wires. The white wire attaches to clean metal on the vehicle frame to provide a ground connection. The purple (or sometimes yellow) wire typically powers the reverse lights on the trailer (if it is so equipped)....

  • What Circuit of 7-Way Adapter Needs to be Active for Curt Echo Mobile Brake Controller
Basically you would just need the 12 volt accessory of the 7-way adapter active for the Curt Mobile Echo # C51180 to function. So what you would need is to run 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 (sold by foot) through a breaker like # 9510 to your positive battery post. The black wire is the circuit of the adapter you would want to use.

  • How to Wire Up the 12 Volt Accessory Circuit of a 7-Way Connector
The Deka Battery Isolator Installation Kit # DW08769 would be one option for running a power wire to the 12 volt accessory circuit of your 7-way. Keep in mind that this only has 15 feet of wire which may or may not be enough for you. Typically we recommend people use a length of 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 sold by the foot to power that circuit. The # DW08769 includes 8 gauge wire and a 50 amp breaker. Normally a 40 amp breaker like part # 9510 is recommended. For an isolation solenoid...

  • Brake Controller Recommendation for 2008 BMW X3
The P3 # 90195 is a fantastic brake controller. I would recommend it highly for you on your vehicle. The Prodigy RF part # TK94FR is a great controller too though which would be easier to wire up so that's a great option too. Sounds like this is the route you'd prefer. What you need to install it is a 7-way with the lighting functions working plus a 12 volt power circuit. For that you'd need to start with a 4-way like part # 119250KIT that you mentioned plus a 7-way adapter part # 37185....

  • How to Power an Electric Winch on a Trailer Pulled By a 2017 Subaru Forester
You do have a few options to get an electric winch, like the Dutton-Lainson StrongArm # TW4015, working, but the 4 Flat will not be able to do so alone. The first will be to add a battery to the trailer. This will usually be my suggestion, but as you do not have brakes on the trailer and it is for a boat trailer, it will not be the best way to go. What I suggest doing is upping your 4 Flat to a 5 Round, both on the trailer and vehicle. The Pollak 5-Pole # PK11502 for the vehicle side,...

You will just cut out the factory connection and install this wire using 2 of the Butt Connectors # DW05745-5. However there is another way to connect your trailer wiring that would eliminate the need for the # 47435 adapter. The black wire of the 7-way adapter part # A10-7084VP that you referenced is normally the circuit associated with charging a trailer battery. That said the yellow wire could be too as long as you wired up the trailer to match.
