Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.
- If D = 2-5/8", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"
- If D = 2-3/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4"
- If D = 3", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
- If D = 3-1/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2"

This is a basic trailer wheel, but, for me, the difference with etrailer is the service. Price is great on these wheels, as they are powder coated. Only complaint it the packaging. Two wheels were packed in one box each with a layer of cardboard stapled to the box. That doesn’t work. The wheels had banged against each other in both boxes. Fortunately, no damage resulted.

My experience was overall very frustrating. The quality control on the wheels I received was awful, both the original set and it's replacement set were badly damaged. Customer support was understanding and freely offered replacements both times but I expect that heavily damaged items shouldn't be shipped in the first place. This was my first interaction with trailer and will likely be my last. I don't have time to take a chances on orders, I need to trust that I'm receiving quality goods.

I received the wheels…they were both in one big box(way too big for the wheels) with on piece of cardboard stuck between them. No other packing of any kind and metal box staples poking through all sides. As you could imagine both wheels are very scratched. I just spent 45 mins taping and painting my brand new wheels. I have not mounted them yet so I cannot speak of the wheels other than the very disappointing packing efforts!

Etrailer came through in my search for rims! I raised my flat deck ATV trailer from 13" to 15" tires and searched for basic rims.
Etrailer was the only affordable rims I could find. I had to finagle shipping to Alaska to cut costs.
I'm not adding pictures as they are just basic black rims, but I couldn't be more pleased. Having 15" wheels & tires over those 13" wheels is a relief!

rims aren't very strait, had them on a wheel balance machine, 3 of the 4 rims had a big wobble. but I guess they were the cheapest 15x6 5 x 4.5 rims so it will have to do

Replaced my travel trailer wheels that bent on a pothole. These are made in the USA like my Goodyear Endurance I put on them.

So I have about 2000 towing miles on this set up. This was the end of my problems. I am currently on an 1800 mile road trip from NY to NM. No issues. It is such a difference to upgrade tire, rims, and suspension. I can tow at 70mph in calm winds and not worry about it anymore. Highly recommend

I really like these wheels, the finish is well applied, no blems or voids, and the powdercoat looks clean. I am happy that these wheels are made in the USA, and that they have a higher weight rating than wheels of similar size from other manufacturers. All in all I am quite pleased and the wheels and the excellent service from etrailer which was spectacular, as usual!

I purchased a new left over Travel Trailer and decided to upgrade the wheel size so I could increase the load range on the tires. I ordered the Dexter 15" wheels in black and also chrome center caps with black plastic end caps. I was most impressed with etrailer's shipping and customer service. For that main reason they've earned my buisness in the future. The wheels were nice and well worth the price. They DID NOT come with valve stems which I thought they did,but I was still very happy with my products.

That means this wheel has a 3-1/2 inch backspacing. To determine that you take width of wheel, 6 inches, add inch for lip, and then divide by two.
