I purchased this to pull my 38 ft travel trailer with my 1997 dodge ram 2500 at first I thought it wasn't the right one to install but then realized I needed to modified my service truck bumper .so I did ,then installed the hitch which was fairly easy I have pulled the trailer numerous times with no problems. I want to thank the all the staff who helped me in my purchase (which is my third purchase from them).and would highly recommend this company. Thx again.
I decided to try this B&W receiver hitch on my 95 Dodge Ram 2500 after discovering that another well known brand was not going to bolt right on. The B&W had enough distance between the mounting brackets to clear the downward bent lip on the Dodge frame. Installation was straightforward after removing the spare tire and oem Dodge hitch. I assembled everything loosely and set it into position before snugging up the hardware and doing the final torque. The hitch seems well made. The tab for mounting trailer wiring is a nice feature. My only little nit pick is I think some of the frame mount hardware could have been 9/16" instead of 1/2" where it goes through the 1" holes in the frame with the large backing plates. I don't plan on towing more than 10,000 lbs so it will probably be fine.
Solid construction, bolts right onto the frame with no drilling. Unfortunately B&W didn't make the smart engineering choice of having the mounting plates have square holes (and corresponding square slots at the top of the bolts), so you'll need to ensure that you have an additional 3/4" instrument to stop the bolt from spinning as you tighten the nut. Overall, the convenience of not having to drill my frame massively outweighs the poor mounting design, but I was still able to accomplish the install in a couple hours by myself.
Great product at a great price. Install was straightforward, had more issues removing my old receiver than installing the new one. I would highly recommend B&W over other brands like Curt and Reese
Everything has been as expected. This hitch is solid and versatile. No complaints whatsoever.
It was very easy to install without drilling. Very heavy duty looking. It is a very tight fit to the bumper and looks amazing.
Product was a easy hook up. Instructions say to assmeble it on the ground and then bolt it up. But if you just have one person put on each of the side plates and then the center section and tighten it down . Still went quickly
This is the 5th B&W hitch I've had (3 rear mounted receivers and 2 fifth wheel hitches) and the 4th I've bought on etrailer. I'm replacing this particular hitch because I was rear-ended. It totaled the car and, for the second time, my truck is just fine. I had the tow ball with a drop hitch on (also B&W) and it took all of the impact.
B&W makes the best quality hitches that I've found. I've never once had an issue, they are made in the USA, and in my opinion worth every bit of the few extra dollars to get something that will last a lifetime.
I also find myself coming back to etrailer over and over. No one can beat their customer service. They are, hands down, the best.

The 16K hitch is exactly what I needed. The stock hitch was only rated at 10K. I'm hauling a 12K trailer and I didn't want to roll the dice with the stock hitch. The 16K hitch fit perfectly on my Dodge truck. All needed parts were included and was easy to install. The hardest part was removing the old hitch. Definitely soak the old bolts with PB blaster a couple of days before you remove the old hitch. Customer service was great as well as fast shipping. I'd highly recommend this hitch to anyone who is planning on hauling a heavy trailer.
This is my4th hitch I have bought from etrailer and I always like shopping here. The customer service is great. The shipping is always fast and unless I screw up the product is what I wanted. It's always a joy when I get to talk to Erica and George. If their is ever a problem with the item being back ordered. Erica will always give me a call to let me know and either wait or substitute an item in place of what I have ordered. George will email you to see if everything is ok with the order and is greatly concerned with making the customer both a happy customer and a satisfied one as well. I don't have it installed yet but I well post pics of it when I do get it installed.

Being a old cowboy with little wrenching it took about one and a half hours to take the old broke one off and get the new one on. Very happy it didn't take long or a lot of tools.
I purchased this for a 1999 Dodge Ram Sport. It ended up installing easily enough but the holes on the truck frame did not match up with the hitch. We could only secure it with 2 of the 3 screws. If you have the tools, you could create a 3rd hole in the truck frame but I chose not to.
No complaints at all. I was concerned with the 9" drop and pulling heavy loads but the hitch has held up perfectly with a 10k pound trailer. Buy American.
This is the third hitch receiver I've purchased through etrailer. Shipping is always extremely fast, much faster than Another online retailer. Never had a problem and will be making more purchases from etrailer in the future.

Works great looks great on the truck like the way it tucks under the bumper. Hardest part of the install was getting original one off. Great product would recommend it highly.
Looks like top quality. Fits nice.i also like how it tucks up high under the bumper. Only complaint I have is you have to drill 2 holes in the frame. I had assumed it was direct fit with no drilling.
