The B&W Tow & Stow adjustable ball mount lets you tow a variety of trailers with different tongue heights. Having a 1-7/8" ball, a 2" ball and a 2-5/16" ball allows for even more versatility, making this the ultimate go-to ball mount if you own multiple trailers.
To switch the hitch ball, simply remove the pin holding the balls in place and rotate the entire block that the balls are mounted on until the ball you want to use is on top. Then replace the pin to secure the block in place.
Adjusting the height of the ball is just as easy. Remove the pins holding the ball mount platform in place and slide the platform up or down along the shank to the desired position. Once you have found the correct height, reinsert the pins and replace the clips.
When you're not towing, you can flip the ball mount platform around and stow it beneath your hitch so that you won't bang your shins. Just remove the pins to slide the ball platform down along the channel and up the back side so that the hitch balls face towards your vehicle. Then replace the pins.
The Tow & Stow ball mount features a channel that runs along both sides of the shank. This channel not only allows you to slide the ball mount platform up and down to adjust the ball height, but it also prevents removal of the platform when the ball mount is installed, which will help prevent theft of your trailer.
A slot is cut into the adjustment channel near the top of the shank. To remove the ball mount platform from the shank you will need to remove the entire ball mount from your hitch. Then remove the pins that hold the platform in place. Flip the platform around to the stowed position on the rear of the shank, and then slide it up until the center pin lines up with the slot in the shank. Pull the platform out towards the rear of the shank until the pin pops out of the adjustment channel.
When the Tow & Stow is secured in your hitch receiver, you will not be able to remove the ball mount platform. This is because the slot in the shank is positioned in such a way that the collar on your hitch will block the pin on the platform from being able to leave the channel. Even if the pins holding the ball mount platform in place are removed, the platform will still be confined to this channel. So, as long as a hitch lock is used to secure the entire ball mount in your hitch receiver, and a coupler lock is used to prevent your trailer's coupler from being disengaged from the ball, your trailer will be secure.

I paid for newz NOT an open box. Hitch is filthy, and is for a 3" receiver, NOT a 2 1/2". Will have to cancel my trip this weekend as a result. Thanks for nothing.

Just installed on my f250. I love it! I ordered the 7.5 inch drop with the 3 different trailer ball sizes. Super simple. I recommend getting the silencer pad as well as the locking pin. Super fast shipping and super fast responses from the team. They go above and beyond.
Will be towing a car trailer with a dodge 2500 on it this weekend so it came at a perfect time.
PS: I have a leveled 2016 F250 on 35x11.50’s. The 7.5 inch drop may be a little bit over kill. Any one looking that has the same truck could probably get by with a 4.5 inch drop.
Definitely rock solid. 4 stars because I think it could be better by having only one pin to pull out the back side rather than 2. It's a small thing, but the 3 hitch pins on one side do look kinda sloppy too. It's a well made product, but at this cost, I'd expect a flawless product, 100% thought out.
A real work horse of a hitch! My second B&W the first one I gave my daughter for her horse trailer. I pitched the 2 1/2 17,000 lbs hitch for my low boy car hauler. Absolutely love the fit finish and toughness.
Another very solid and well built item from B&W. Put into a 2.5” receiver on a 2018 Ram 2500 with stock suspension and tires. The 7” drop was perfect for all my applications and having the convenience of all three ball sizes makes it nice. Only regret I have it not buying the BOLT locking hitch pin at the same time I bought this. The B&W and BOLT pin go together like peas and carrots.
I really like this hitch. I have four different trailers with different tongue heights and all have different size balls. This hitch took care of all of them. Also, stayed in my receiver all winter and the finish is still really nice! The largest trailer I have towed so far is a 10K car trailer, but if I need gravel I plan to tow a 12K+ dump trailer. I'm sure this hitch will handle it.
The hitch was delivered very quickly. etrailer kept us informed as to when the hitch would ship. It even shipped earlier than expected! My husband is VERY satisfied with this purchase. We are moving and the hitch my husband had before was not very sturdy and he was afraid it would break with the load. With this heavy-duty hitch, we'll have no issues with pulling any load.
This is the 3rd one I have purchased and will never buy anything else but a B&W hitch!
They sent me the wrong hitch. I am going on a trip with my camper in a couple of weeks and this has put me in a bad spot. I reached out to customer service 2 days ago and no response. NOT HAPPY!!
This product is exactly what I was looking for and I didn’t think anyone made it, but etrailer had it! This B&W product is a well manufactured piece of equipment and it’s even better than I thought. I have a 2-1/2” receiver on my 2013 f 350 and it fits perfectly and looks great. The quality of the welds and of each component of the mount is excellent. The ground clearance with the mount in the down direction is about 9” on my truck with no load in the bed or trailer attached. Some f 350s I’ve seen are lower than mine, so the 4-1/2” drop option might work better for lower trucks. Good luck and happy towing! Another happy customer to etrailer, thanks guys!
Great quality hitch. Delivered with scratches and stickers pealing off at corners. Does not impact use. Delays in shipping an in stock item prevented a 5 star rating.
Very nice hitch... great quality, very sturdy and super convenient not having to rotate hitches for various ball sizes. The hitch was delivered on time and in it's original B&W box designed to protect it. The folks from etrailer informed me when it shipped and monitored until it was delivered. Highly suggest a locking hitch pin for this product, caught my neighbor trying to steal it first day ;-)
Well made. Finish looks great. FYI it doesn't come with a reciever pin. Just the right amount of drop for my 2019 Ram 2500. It tucks up underneath for low profile storage without issue.
Cons: price is a bit steep compared to some other brands. Especially since it doesn't include the reciever pin.
B&W hitches are the best
Nice hitch. Unboxed and installed with 2 silencer pads and a receiver lock pin, greased it up with the included lithium grease, and was ready to go in less than 2 minutes. The hideaway feature is slick and only takes a few seconds to switch.
B&W makes a great product, I’ve had the same hitch but with the 2 inch shank for years, finally decided I would like the option for a little more drop so figured why not go ahead and get the 2.5 inch shank model. I’m sure I’ll just as pleased with this one as I was with the last. Etrailer had the best price considering the free shipping and I received my hitch in less than a week. I will buy from them again for sure.
Love the "Stow and Go" no more busted shins with the balls tucked up under the bumper. Switching the ball size is quick and easy. American Made and much heavier than I expected with I went to pick it up. Perfect fit on my 2015 Ram and love that it is 2 1/2" ball mount so I don't need the adapter.
Nice hitch a bit expensive waited a long time but pulled the trigger no regrets like the fold away part a lot and one hitch can do it all use the 7 inch drop on my 2019 f250 4x4
Question: What is the best way to ship B&W hitches? Not an easy decision. Shipping this 110 lb. metal hitch via UPS in a cardboard box... you can only imagine what the box will look like when it arrives at it's destination. Now it's a metal hitch, so not much can happen to it, however, it looked like it went through WW III when it arrived today. I don't have an answer for you, however, a thought may be to have a packaging engineer take another look at how to best package these for shipping via UPS. Thank you.
Definitely one of the best trailer hitches I've used. Steel construction, so you never have any issues with with the lights not working; due to a bad ground through the hitch, like some aluminum hitches I've used. All the adjustments use cotter pins instead of some sort of key configuration that gets bound up with salt or sand. Overall very happy with this hitch, and would definitely recommend it. Between my dad and I this is the third B and W 3 ball hitch, we've bought.
