Average Customer Rating:  4.8 out of 5 stars   (1776 Customer Reviews)

Corrosion-resistant ball mount is 9-3/8" long and fits 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" trailer hitch receivers.

Good quality. Just what I needed.

I wasn't sure what type of ball mount I needed for my new Mazda CX-9, so I had to call a representative. The first time I called, the very knowledgeable gentlemen told me exactly how to measure my SUV to figure out the drop I needed. I called back the next day and talked to a lady who helped me figure out exactly what I needed.

This is my second purchase from etrailer. The first was a hitch for my old Honda Odyssey, which was also a great experience. The employees are so helpful, the video tutorials on the web site are fantastic and the prices are great. is the first place I go to look for trailer and towing supplies!

The ball mount and ball that I bought last year has worked out well, and is still in great shape. But Ive come to expect that will sell me a quality product. Thats just what they do!
John J - 01/21/2015

I needed to tow a trailer with a 2" ball. My original ball mount has a 1 7/8" ball installed. I had previously tried to change a ball on a hitch and destroyed the nut and damaged the underside of the ball mount. The lock washer had done a great job in keeping the nut from coming off. I dreaded trying to remove my 1 7/8" ball to install a new one that I would only use once.
I decided to buy a new ball mount and mount the new 2" ball.
This ball mount is so inexpensive that I realized I could have both ball sizes permanently mounted for use in either ball size.

Still glad I purchased a new mount instead of trying to change ball sizes.

I was given help, and all worked well.

I needed a ball mount that would keep the tongue lock away from the spare tire on my Jeep.
This mount gave me just enough clearance so the tire cover clears.
Handled a small trailer with 1500 # of rock / concrete easily.

Great addition for the trailer.

Great service, fast shipping.

Yes, I still like it
Rick - 06/29/2015

Customer service is great, returns are trouble free and fast. The hitch is very solid, and came with all hardware needed to install. I had to return a defective wire harness. Replacement worked fine. I put this on my 04 Chrysler 300M, a car that really wasn't built for towing, and the hitch works great !!

I got an excellent product at a fair price, from a company that stands behind what they sell.

I'm glad I made my purchase with

Online ordering was a breeze and the item shipped within a day or two of ordering. etrailers let me know via e-mail when the order was filled and provided a tracking number.

The drawbar was well packaged and quality is perfect....good welds, solid paint to prevent corrosion and the holes for the pin and ball are perfectly slop and not too tight. I would purchase again from etrailer

A good product! This is the second hitch I have installed using etrailer and it went as well as the first. Not being a super skilled Tech it took longer than expected, but for me it was a project that needed to be done, and I enjoy a good project when it comes together, no matter if it took a little longer due to an average person's tool inventory and simple jack stands and floor jacks. The instruction videos are the best I have seen as of yet. If you enjoy working with your hands, I recommend etrailer products!

I have been impressed with you guys so far. Your prices are good and to have what I need. I went on {a different website}, but I like to deal with people, and talk to them when its needed, {that other website} is a selling machine, they are good with returns, but they really don't know their products, and rely on reviews to give you answers. Anyway, I will be calling you guys very soon to buy a wiring harness, and I,d like to pick one of your technicians brain for the right harness. Thanks Again for being out there

This, and the trailer hitch I purchased earlier are good, solid products. There was a bit of very hard paint preventing the hitch key from going through the hole, mut a half minute with a round file cleaned it out. The paint is TOUGH so I guess that will be good for long wear.

The tongue had blown through the end of the shipping package, but there was no damage.

The whole experience with was excellent, especially with the video instructions.

It was easy to use the website to find the correct hitch parts for my car and to order. They arrived when expected and in an intact box, well packaged. Was able to easily install in under an hour.

Everything is still working great. Thanks.

Carol C
Thank you so much for your response
and follow up to my recent order. I didn't expect to receive my Curt Hitch and drawbar order as quickly is as did. Thank you again for your attention and promptness in processing my order. It's been a pleasure to deal with your company and I would urge people to do business with you.

I really like this ball mount for my Ford Fusion.
This is a solid piece of steel.
I did turn it upside down to get the trailer tongue to look ok.

I bought this with the Curt C12091 hitch for the Ford Fusion.

Excellent quality and fits the car (distance from fender to trailer)
I would recommend.

It works perfect for the Volvo S60 when towing a small camper tenttrailer.
Larry K - 08/28/2018

Though etrailer recommended the 7 1/4" length for the Focus ST models, measuring the length required is more than 7 1/4. The 9 3/8" length is a perfect match for the bumper profile.

Product and services were excellent. The eTrailer website is clear and concise, and offer DIY videos for all products. Major plus !!

etrailer service technicians are very professional and follow up on calls and deliveries. Prices are very competitive, with shipping costs included.

I've recommended to friends who were also very satisfied.

Very well made ball mount. Nice, clean welds. Good looking powder coating. Made in the USA and reasonably priced. What is there not to like about Curt products?

Works great

I'm using this to haul small trailer with Chevrolet Equinox. Hitch on this SUV is rated at 3500 lbs. max. Product is well made.

Received everything I ordered in just 2 days. Second time I used and would have no problem recommending them or using them again.

The hitch package I installed on my 05 Camry is holding up great and pulls my bass tracker like a charm!

It had a few burs that had to be smoothed off to fit in the receiver and for the pin to go through but other than that it should be good to go for the kayak trailer.

Shipped fast, works great, trailer level was as it should be.

great service from your sale personnel

The hitch was exactly what I needed and works great for the receiver on the car. Shipment was quick and the quality and price were great.

  • Can Curt Class II Drawbar # C45016 be Used in the Rise Position
Curt Class II Drawbar # C45016 can be used in the rise position so that the ball is higher up. It will have a rise of 2-5/8 inches measured from the top of the receiver opening to the top of the platform the ball sits on.

I went out into our warehouse and measured the distance from the center of the hitch pin to the start of the ball mount platform on the Curt Draw Bar part # C45016 and found it to be 7-1/4 inches so as long as I understood you correctly this ball mount would work well for you.

  • Recommended Ball Mount for a 2006 Toyota Sienna Ball With a Class II Trailer Hitch
The recommended ball mount for your 2006 Toyota Sienna would have a 2-5/8 inch rise, like Curt ball mount # C45016. This would put the hitch ball at the most common trailer height, but to ensure it will work with your particular setup, I would recommend taking a couple simple measurements. First, measure from the ground to the top of your class II hitch opening. Then, with your trailer level, measure from the ground to the flat bottom of the trailer coupler. The difference between these...

  • Correct Draw Bar for Curt Class I Receiver C45025 on 2012 VW Golf TDI
The draw bar included with the hitch is part # C45016, which has a 2-5/8 inch rise, or 3-1/4 inch drop. Ideally, you want to tow the trailer so that it is as level as possible, but being within an inch and a half either way is close enough for government work. Keep in mind that hitch is designed to work best with a draw bar with the same drop as the C45016, and using a draw bar with a different rise or drop is not recommended. • Can a Class II Ball Mount be Used with a Class I Trailer Hitch on a 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT
With a Class I trailer hitch on your 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse, you should only use the ball mount that is recommended for use with the trailer hitch. Another problem is that the ball mount that you have referenced is a Class II accessory. Class II items are designed so that they will not fit in a Class I trailer hitch. You could use Sportframe Drawbar, # 3592, which will give you a 2-1/8 inch rise or # C45016, which will give you a 2-5/8 inch rise.

  • Ball Mount with 2 Inch Rise Longer than 7 Inches to Tow Trailer Level with 2001 Subaru Forester
It sounds like there are a couple of things going on here. First, you need a ball mount with a 2 inch rise. But then it also sounds like you need a ball mount that is longer than 7 inches. The other issue is that on Class I and II hitches you are supposed to use the ball mount recommended by the hitch manufacturer or it could void the hitch warranty.
