So nice to be able to tow things with my Forester now. I thought I had an issue but figured out it was user error pretty quick, but only after I contacted etrailer for help. I heard back within 30 minutes of emailing and by that time I figured out my blunder. They were extremely helpful and responsive and were set on fixing the problem I thought I had. I have used etrailer for several different purchases over the past couple years and every time I have been thrilled with the service and the quality of product.
Excellent receiver kit! Combined with the curt trailer hitch and the oem Mazda trailer harness add on, this is legit!
As always, Curt products are well built. The style and finish are beautiful. Never have any problems with fitment.
Searching and ordering online was a breeze. My only complaint is the search filter. It is not very user friendly.
This kit has everything you need and more. I especially love the locking hitch pin. I use a lot of public boat ramps and over the years I have had my hitch stolen multiple times. With this locking pin, I wont have to worry about that anymore.
There were some UPS delivery issues, damaged in shipment. But, etrailer.com jumped right on sending out another shipment after it was apparent that UPS would not complete the delivery.
The installation took longer, maybe 1-1/2 hours, because I did not have all my tools ready and I was working on the concrete floor in the dark to outside with a portable shop light. Everything fit well and it looks great.
The 2" drop ball mount was the perfect height for my 2019 Toyota Highlander Hybrid. I love the look of the Curt black insert that makes the hitch looks like it belongs on the car, nothing embarrassing at all.
Anything negative? Maybe. The flat plate was a little difficult to hook onto with the UHaul safety chains on a 5x8 trailer. That's hardly a negative, though, and I wouldn't have spent more on another brand choice because of this. Happy happy!
It’s as advertised, a hitch assembly. I do like the rubber hitch hole cover, it has a snug fit. The lock seems kind of weak at first use but I’ll give it time.
This started kit has everything you need in one nice package to get towing! Very nice to not have to piece everything together separately. And it costs much less by getting it all together in one handy package! Thank you Alyssa for all your help!

Super easy to install! Very strong. I installed the hitch and the wiring for a trailer in about an hour. Zero problems getting it to line up. Great product.

Does the job it’s made to do. Exactly as pictured and is great. It does take so getting used to putting the locking bar thing in and securing it.
Wow e trailer is the best it was so easy to install my hitch and wiring harness just make sure you have 1 extra person to set in the hitch and bolt up, and borrow a torque wrench if needed everything was real easy and the videos are very helpful thanks e-trailer for having the videos as well when you purchase items it makes it great. A+ for delivery too got my hitch delivered fast to with everything. Keep up the good work
I normally keep a complete towing set in my automobiles and needed a new set for my wife's car. After some research, I decided to go with the Curt Towing Starter Kit. It’s been a year since purchasing this great Curt towing set. This car has a mobility lift installed, so I only keep the kit handy if towing is required. In the past year, I have not had to tow anything with this vehicle and the set has been stored safely in the case it came with and is still essentially new. Nice towing set!
Purchased this product one year ago. It's still holding up without any issues! I would definitely recommend this product. The installation process was about 3 hours being done alone.

I'm going to be moving soon and I have a new truck. I bought a hitch kit and extendable rear view mirrors for towing. They were well packaged and delivered quicker than I expected. Not long enough to clear my vehicles bumper. etrailer was unhelpful and would not offer a return. This was the product they recommended for my vehicle when placing the order with a receiver and wiring harness
The product is great, but I had to flip the ball to get more height. However, I didn't have the proper tools, so I took it to a local auto repair shop. They couldn't get the ball off, and ended up stripping the threads, so I had to buy a new one. It was a bummer, but eventually sorted it out.
They came through at the most delicate time of our lives. We just layed my brother to rest and had a 750 mile trip back to NC and no one, I mean no one could get me a hitch before I had to leave. etrailer came thru and made things seamless. We are so grateful for them and how easy they made it!
