Excellent product that fit my need perfectly. I tow with 2 trucks, one needs a drop and the other needs it up a bit. I usually leave it on one truck but I also tow 3 different trailers with it and was sick of having to carry all sorts of hitches.
I've had no complaints at all with it, I'd definitely buy recommend it to anyone.
The product works as expected. I use it primarily for towing a 10,000 lb offshore boat. I leave it in one position 80% of the time but occassionally adjust it when hauling a different trailer, and the adjustment is easy.
However this is significantly heavier than it looks or any other hitch I've used since it is not made of hollow square tubing, but a solid steel block. I have no doubt it is strong, but it is probably over 30 lbs. So if you plan to switch vehicles with it often, be prepared.
I had the 2.5" receiver for my 2014 Ram 2500 so it was a no brainer to go with the Curt 2" receiver for my 2002 Chevy 2500.

This hitch is as KISS as an adjustable hitch could be. Built very well, with good thick gussets, a solid receiver shank, perfect welds and a good powder coat. The fact the trailer balls are built from one forged piece means no worry about a nut loosening and no weld to potentially break. I would go ahead and recommend you buy two replacement rubber isolators and just go ahead and put them in the other two holes in the hitch so no matter where the ball is it has some contact with an isolator without having to move the one it comes with. I highly recommend etrailer, they have great prices and fast shipping and they put out a lot of very helpful videos and pictures of the products they are selling.
I am very impressed with C45900 ball mount. Curt is an excellent manufacturer. The only thing I did not like are the snap rings on the pins. I have seen those get hooked unintentionally or be pulled to steal the ball mount. I replaced Curt's pins with Grade 8 bolts, drilled holes and secured with a padlock. It would be nice if someone made a locking hitch pin with enough span for the channel. I added the reflective tape for higher visibility. I live in Phoenix where they have a plant. Please run this idea by them and let me know what they think. The two locking hitch pins would only raise the price by $50. If you have a vendor who has longer pins please let me know. Using unsecured pins is asking for trouble. Thanks--Jerry
The hitch worked great I bought this hitch plus a Curt Lunette ring C48660 for my pull truck. Used the hitch setup for the first time last night and worked flawless, I would definitely recommend this setup to my friends the price was great and the hitch is well built.Thanks etrailer
Works good. Use it for the boat on 2" and use it for the 2 5/8 for the trailer for the sand cars. Love the adjustability since we use different trucks.
Concept is good. Lots movement and clanking when stopping and starting, though.
Katrina B - 06/09/2022Package arrived within 2 days of ordering. The receiver, 3 pins, and the two balls were with package as ordered. Haven't put it to use yet but seems to be tough and very durable. Using the hitch for a 2005 Chevrolet 2500 gas, hitch has plenty of drop and rise for stock suspension. So far very pleased with this item from etrailer and with other items I have purchased in the past.
This hitch has worked out great for me over the last year. It’s very heavy duty and easy to adjust. I’ve hauled a 9,000 lb boat, long-distance on numerous occasions without issue. I also haul a landscape trailer on a daily basis weighing over 5,000lbs and haven’t had a single issue. Great hitch that was significantly cheaper than others and is very high quality. I’ve recommended it to several people and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy again. The only thing I would like to have now in a hitch is a tongue weight gauge, but it isn’t necessary.
Mike L - 04/03/2019Good that a new pin to hold ballmount in receiver was included, but it was too short to go through the 2 1/2" receiver tubing. Other than that, a nice heavy assembly.
My package came in opened and I’m not sure all the parts are even there. I can send a picture to show you what was in the package and how the package was when I received it. It was open on two ends.

Tim - 03/12/2022This is a great hitch. I have several different style trailers that I pull and this is quite easy to pull up to the trailer and adjust the hitch and hook up and go. I would highly recommend this product

I like the overall versatility of this hitch but the only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because Curt is manufactured in the USA. The box I received says it was made in India! I hope this metal is strong and well made cause my horses lives depend on it.
Heather A - 06/18/2020Excellent product. Installed in minutes. I tow a 14 k lb dump trailer. Needed the additional rise on the hitch. The draw bar is adjustable so that I can tow my utility trailer as well. High quality like most products I have purchased from etrailer.com
