Hi there neighbors, today we're going to be taking a look at CURT's four or five-way flat trailer connector universal mounting bracket for two-inch hitches. This universal trailer wiring bracket mounts directly to the front of your two-inch hitch receiver. And it provides a mounting bracket off to one side. Inside of the bracket here on the side, you can fit either a four or five-way flat trailer connector, giving you a nice secure connection point that keeps it up off the rope. Unlike some other options, there's no drilling required. It simply slides onto the front of your two-inch receiver and the included hardware snugs it down.
Now, if your receiver doesn't have a reinforced collar like this one here, it may not hold it securely to it. But if you do have a reinforced collar, which all CURT hitches do, then you'll be okay. The reason the collar is required is because the hardware sits behind it, keeping it from sliding off the back. Now, this is a bit of a bulkier option for getting a four-pole mounting bracket. But one of the benefits of it is that it does provide some protection for the end of your two-inch receiver. This can help keep dings and scratches from occurring, which could eventually lead to rust.
So by keeping those things out of there, you have a long-lasting finish and you're protecting it. The bracket is a solid steel construction with a black powder coat finish. So it's going to withhold up against the elements as well. And that completes our look at CURT's four or five-way flat trailer connector, mounting bracket for two-inch hitches.

Attach this electrical bracket to your 2" trailer hitch to make mounting your trailer connector (sold separately) fast and easy. Use with either a 4-way or 5-way flat connector. No drilling required.Great product to complement new electrical wiring for my hitch. It holds the wire securely in place for when it’s needed.
The bracket fit the receiver hitch and keeps the electrical plug from dragging or coming loose. When I tightened the lower retainer, the flat 4-prong plug was loose. As I re-tightened the retainer mounting bolts, it (the end of the retainer) began to bend slightly. See attached pic. Using a heavier or stronger gage metal will prevent this bending. Overall, I still give it 5 stars as I have had no problems with the plug falling onto the ground. Properly tightened, it holds the plug. I would recommend this product to everyone who has had a wiring plug falling onto the ground and being dragged drag on the ground
Good product but not for the (75579) Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III on a Town & Country. Because the hitch fits tight against the bumper this does not fit. I was in a time crunch to travel, so I kept it and made it work by bending it and pushing the bumper up so I could slide it on the hitch.
Fits as stated and seems to be good quality. Installs in about 5 minutes
Even if the nuts loosen over time the part won't fall off unless the bolts completely fall out.
EZ installation
Works fine
Works great! Install was simple. Now the flat connector doesn't dangle :)
I purchased the Curt trailer wiring harness about 2 yrs ago. I didn't like having it running out the back hatch. I use my trailer a lot. I purchased the Curt 58001 mounting brkt. I reviewed the wiring install video and saw the grommet that you normally use for the power line to the harness from the battery. Now I had the hole to run the trailer connector wiring thru with out make another hole and having to splice the connector wiring.
I cut a slot in the middle of the grommet for the wire and then continued to cut the grommet so I could slip the wire to the center of the grommet, put on some liquid electrical tape and ran the wire to the bracket. As waterproof as original. Mounting bracket made a nice, practical connection point. I greatly appreciate your videos and etrailer is my go to source.
Easy install, very tidy. Only time will tell how well this survives New England winters, but nice simple solution for exterior wiring.
Trivial omissions from manufacturer's writeup (both became obvious ten seconds into installation):
1. This bracket can only be installed at the very end of the receiver tube, not at some arbitrary point along the receiver tube.
2. The spacers are for the receiver tube, not the wiring.
A rubber receiver tube cover will hold the bracket in place while one attaches the mounting hardware.
I already recommended this to all of my family. It's great having your wiring harness fixed in one place. It makes plugging in easy, but it will also save your wiring from the stress of the road. I didn't want any rattling on the road so I cut some vinyl tube to fit over one of the carriage bolts. I could vinyl both bolts on one receiver and only one carriage bolt on the other, so use as you see fit.
I've been blown away by every Curt product I've bought. This one didn't disappoint. The metal is heavy and strong, the powder coat is thick and indestructible, the fasteners are stainless and exactly right, and the product itself is a great solution to the problem of mounting the trailer electrical connector.
The mount bracket is a great way to finish the hitch project; includes a hard mounting point for the light assembly from the vehicle. The hard mounting point makes attaching/detaching the male/female ends of the light cables a snap. The bracket has been on my vehicle for a year without any issues.
Perfect solution for conveniently & safely mounting trailer wiring for a 2" hitch receiver! Very quick & easy to mount, solid, and helps keep wiring above safety chains. I looked at several other mounts that are clamped to the receiver, but this is much easier.
I just installed the hitch and wiring harness today(Saturday). I thought I followed the video to the T but my car lights didn’t work. I called and they told me it would be Monday. I was disappointed but understood. Three hours later I get a call and they walked me thru my mistake. What great customer service this was my third purchase and if I need more they will get my business!
Nice no loose wires moving all the time
Very simple and straightforward solution to my need to secure wiring harness on my SUV. Easy to install.
Easy to install, and the nice black paint is a great improvement, as it covers the 2" receiver (which no longer looked new). We're glad to have the wiring secured, and not dangling behind the car (a black Lexus RX-350).
Fits great on Curt hitch w/ 2" receiver and makes installation look like it was done by a professional!
When trying to put on the hitch. The hitch weld part is to wide for the bracket. And also it will not work on a traverse. Will be covered up by the plastic
It hoold the wires just fine
I used one of these on my last vehicle and it was perfect. It kept the harness in easy reach and out of the way.
Cleanly finished off the installation of a new hitch and provides a solid mount for the electrical connection. Works perfectly!
Simple installation. Product fit with very little issue. Would recommend to anyone who has loose trailer wire and plug hanging from vehicle.
great peroduct
Looks to be substantial but I'm a bit disappointed at the paint quality given the environment the part will be subjected to; I added another coat just to be sure.
