This sturdy spare tire carrier mounts to the trailer tongue in the front of the trailer. The offset design moves the tire and wheel up and away from the trailer frame to improve ground clearance. No drilling is required to install the carrier because the included U-bolts clamp the carrier to the trailer frame. The crisscross design increases the holding power of the U-bolts.
Galvanized Steel
Galvanized steel parts are hot-dipped in zinc after being stamped. This creates a coating that is typically 3 mil to 5 mil thick. This thick, all-around coating allows galvanized steel products to provide years of use without rusting or corroding.

Fit perfectly on my small Magic Tilt trailer that came with my Boston Whaler Super Sport 130 boat. Trailer arm is 3" X 3", and wheels/ tires are 4.80 X 12". It provides good insurance in the event of a tire failure on a long road trip to the lake through remote wilderness.

It does what it is supposed to do. It holds my spare wheel and tire on my Bass boat trailer. Simple install. Just make sure you get a locking lug nut or cable lock so your spare stays safe and secure.

I have an old MacGregor Venture 17' foot trailer, and I was looking for a decent bracket for a spare tire. This one is solidly built, reasonably priced, and just what I needed.
You can position the bracket in a variety of ways, and it's great that it comes with two sets of u-bolts, because I did need the larger set for my setup. I also appreciated that the u-bolt nuts are facing the tire rather than the opposite way, since that would make it fairly easy for someone to unbolt the bracket. The way these bolts are, with the tire securely mounted to the bracket, it is much more difficult to get a wrench back there.
The only issue I notice once I had the bracket where I wanted it was that one of the lower bolts just touched the tire rim, probably because my setup is a little unusual. It might not have made a difference, but I decided to trim the bolt down so it wouldn't rub on the rim while driving down the road.
Also, I have to mention that etrailer ships extremely fast! Within a couple of hours, my order was not only processed but was delivered to UPS for shipment. Most of the time, online shippers send you a message that a label has been created, but it doesn't ship for another day or two. Not etrailer, they did it all on the SAME DAY.

installed the tire carrier horizontally on my trailer, otherwise the tire hits the ground. very sturdy. a little disappointed in the weld job.

The product appears to be of good qualities. True durability will not be known until April when the ice melts so I am able to haul my boat down the highway to my favorite fishing lakes.
Delivery was prompt, shipping tracking is outstanding however the product appeared to be shipped in a used/ damaged Box with multiple layers of clear shipping tape in an attempt to keep the heavy steel item to n the box. Needless to say the item was hanging out of the box upon arrival. Good thing this was not a fragile item. I will continue to order from etrailer, hopefully there will be improvements in how things are shipped.

I need a place to mount my spare tire on my drop down trailer door and this looked like it would work and it worked great. Four 3.5" x 7/16" bolts and nuts and it was done. My experience with this etrailer and the people that work here was great.

Glad I purchased this model. All the hardware was fine, no complaints. Only way it would fit my trailer was to turn it sideways and bolt it up with carriage bolts. Drilled 4 holes and it was done. Very pleased with it.
