These universal-fit mirrors clip onto your factory side-view mirrors to extend your line of sight while you're towing. The fully adjustable mirror face lets you customize your view. Two straps hold each mirror in place. The Universal fit towing Mirrors-THis is easy to put on and off and gives great visibility when towing our boat
The mirrors fit well are tight on the factory mirrors. My main problem with them is that the straps can slip out of the clips, I lost one clip while driving this way, and the other almost happened but I noticed it before we got to driving.
Universal part, not the best of fit on 22 4Runner. Will know more when road tested. Comes with no install instructions for best way to adjust to specific mirrors.
They seem like they will work although The fit isn't as good as I was hoping. I will find out the first time I do 60 mph in the New Mexico winds. They appear to be worth the price.

Tried them once and they vibrated so much they were unusable. I tried to return them as the literature stated they didnt vibrate and was told I could not send them back because I used them. I am not happy. I purchased a pair , from another seller for about$300 which I should have done to begin with. I now have a useless set of mirrors with a total outlay of over $350
I asked chat what mirrors would work on my vehicle. They responded with a list of those that would work. I chose one of these. It arrived in a timely manner and worked on my vehicle. I appreciate their efforts in aiding me.
Upon finding that the towing mirrors did not fit my vehicle I called them from Canada, explained to them about the issue at hand and they were very understanding and fair with the resolution. I will definitely use this business again and highly recommend the service provided from the etrailer team. Best regards,
Short version: better than nothing, but just barely.
I bought two of these, expecting to put one on each mirror. I started using just one, and never even opened the package for the second mirror because it’s not useful enough to bother with a second one. The purpose of tow mirrors is to be able to see past/behind your trailer. This model (and most like it) vibrate so much that you can barely tell what’s back there. But you can tell that *something* is behind you, which is more than my regular mirrors can see, so it’s better than nothing.
If there are custom tow mirrors for your vehicle, get those because they’ll work a lot better. If there aren’t custom tow mirrors for your vehicle, then it seems this is the best you can do, unfortunately.
There able to do the job
Hard to put on could fit better
These mirrors work well enough. They fit securely; no problems with them blowing off if you secure them with the straps tightly. I always add a bungee. They vibrate some in the air flow but I just want to know if there are vehicles behind my RV trailer When I am hauling and I get enough "vision" with the mirrors to tell me what's behind me despite the vibration. You would have to weld or bolt them on your doors if you wanted absolutely no wind caused vibration.

They work good enough. Now only use one on the driver’s side. Don’t need the other side. Get enough rear vision to see if a vehicle is behind me even though you see only a part of the vehicle. Yes, their is vibration from the wind but not enough to obscure the fact that a vehicle is behind you.
(THE GOOD) The mirror is very clear and is fastened tightly into its housing. The pivot ball is snug and does not allow the mirror to move under the influence of wind.(THE BAD) However - the 2 pivot points of the mirror bracket are so light weight (bendable under light winds) that the mirror shakes at most driving speeds, almost to the point of the mirror becoming useless. I've done the due diligence of strap adjusting and bracket placement, but without much improvement to the vibration. I have a 2016 GMC Canyon with 7" mirrors, yet the bracket does not adjust down to that size very well at all, so I modified it, and will need to fabricate an aluminum strut to bridge the pivot point and stiffen the mirror, hoping to reduce the shaking. Look around and trust the reviews about vibration, I just learned now!

We had the opportunity to install these mirrors on a 2018 Chevy Colorado. I have linked the installation video for you. The knob on the back of the mirror assembly loosens to allow the arms to adjust in or out for larger or smaller mirrors. This adjustment is a huge help when sizing the towing mirrors down for your 7 inch tall mirror. Getting this adjustment more fine tuned will likely also help with the vibration you have experienced - and avoid any modifications.

These universal fit towing mirrors do not fit the mirrors on my 2010 Toyota Tacoma 4×4 truck. Even though they are adjustable, they do not adjust small enough to fit my mirrors (height wise)

I will have our customer service team reach out to you. There is another set of mirrors that I recommend. It is part # CM11980-2. These attach at the top only and it would not matter the size of the vehicle mirror.
They would not fit on the mirrors.
Typical add on mirrors that have some shaking but they are good enough to help seeing around my travel trailer. Attachment was good and sturdy on my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

They have been working fine for the last year although I have now switched tow vehicles and dont use them much.
They don't look very nice attached to side mirrors.
Easy to use!

Been a year and still working great!
The mirrors fit and stayed on / in position great. They are easy to install, adjust and remove.
These are not the same as having factory tow mirrors. They vibrate and jiggle so that at normal driving speeds the image is never clear. I don't think this is unique to this product, but to strap on extension mirrors generally. They definitely improved my safety and comfort while driving, and made it easy to see what was going on around my trailer. I could see vehicles approaching and generally their size. As long as that's the expectation, this is a great product. They also are just fine when at idle speed or backing up.
I have since replaced my tow vehicle with one having factory tow mirrors, but if I needed clip on tow mirrors again, I would use these.
I have used my Universal Mirrors several times since I purchased them. I have a 2018 Nissan Titan and I couldn't locate any towing mirrors that were available. The Titan's mirrors have a different contour and the rubber bands do not fit well. I had to utilize a coat hanger wire to keep them from coming off. I was also dissatisfied they didn't adjust out much further than my stock mirror. I knew there would be some vibration but it was minimal. I only use them on a long trip to keep me from getting a ticket.
They looked like what I needed. I put them on my Nissan Frontier and left for our trip. BIG MISTAKE, these shook so badly I couldn't see anything. It was like an earthquake, I would of returned them but I had them I was told 1 day past the return date. DON'T waste your money.
I am now using them for my trailer itself. I make a temporary bracket, so When I back the trailer up I can see right and how far to go. Lousy truck mirrors but good trailer backend mirrors.
I love the ease of shopping and the recommendations for your specific vehicle. I’ll only say I’d like to see something really compatible for my 2021 F150 King Ranch with the 360 Cameras and Zone Lighting. In all fairness I will say I haven’t pulled my trailer yet. Also, when my doors lock my mirrors automatically fold in, a problem is my trailer mirrors are still on (working on that). However, the difference with and without extended mirrors are night and day. Recommend to anyone, especially the easy install!
We ordered these mirror extensions because the reviews stated they would fit on a 2021 F150. They do and we are very happy with the pre-fit, and will be using them next week. As many of you know there is no option yet from Ford without spending $$$ on a set of new mirrors. This is a great alternative if you are towing a trailer on occasion. They do not interfere with the view from the stock mirror and are easy to clip on and off so they will be removed when not being used.
They vibrate allot

Honestly vibration is a complaint that we hear with universal towing mirrors. For a 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 I recommend going with a slip on mirror part # LO54FR. As long as your mirrors looks like the mirrors on the product page then it would be a fit. We also have also a video that you can see them installed.
The fit of the CIPA Universal tow mirrors is mostly good. The outer frame is not an exact fit, however, the adjustment straps, and frame of the tow mirrors allow quite a bit of room to adjust for tightening. Several comments were about vibration. Due to the less than perfect fit, I can see how the frame would torque from wind pressure and cause vibration. I did a test run on my street at 20 mph, and the mirrors did begin to vibrate. I feel like the mirrors are built well enough to get the job done. We will see. I am putting them on a round trip test from Alabama to Northern California and back, in May. My hope is we all make it out and back without incident.
I ordered these for my Ford Ranger. They work very well, no vibration and I’m generally happy with them. However I believe they would work much better on a square mirror like that is on a 150. My Ranger mirrors are kind of oblong and the fit isn’t just perfect but they do stay on well so that’s the reason for four stars again pretty much happy with them
The mirrors fit my tow vehicle okay and attachment is quick and easy. Made of light weight plastic they are prone to considerable wind vibration. Beyond that they do provide the added vision they are intended for.

These are fine for the money, but I ended up just buying some factory tow mirrors and swapping them out and was much happier.
