Mirror extensions. Very easy to put on. Fit like a glove and now I have great vision behind the trailer. Well worth the cost. Placed on Toyota Highlander 2018.

Comments
Only fair at best. One came off at freeway speed. The other needed a bungee cord to keep it from going out of position at freeway speed.

For a clamp on mirror, they work well. Easy adjustment. I’m using these on a third generation Tacoma. I mounted the mirrors on the bottom of the factory mirror and had no problems with tightening them. Did test them up to 65 mph and had minimal movement of the mirror ( no bracket movement. Overall satisfied!

I have factory installed extension mirrors already. I bought these to better view my trailer tires as I travel. They are just what I was looking for.

The clip/screw on extension mirrors I purchased from etrailer are excellent and very good quality and easy to install and remove!!! I highly recommend them for giving a great rear view when towing my trailer

2014 Dodge Ram Pickup

I have a 2014 Ram 1500 quad cab and have been searching for a pair of extension mirrors ever since I bought the truck new. I pull a 34' fifth wheel camper. The camper has the rear camera but it still leaves the side blind spots. I ran across these clamp-on mirrors on the internet. I watched the video on their web site and thought I would give them a try. They fit perfectly, don't vibrate and cover all my side blind spots. They are good quality and are made so you can turn the mirrors up and down, or sideways for an even broader side view. It took just a few days to get them after ordering. I feel they are going to serve me well. Watch the video because it's true and honest. These will work just like they show you in the videos. Thanks etrailer!

These mirrors are sturdy and will be a great addition to my pickup when pulling a trailer. The delivery was much faster than anticipated.

Comments
Both mirrors were blown off when meeting a semi truck. They both survived with only minimal scratches. I put them on tighter but cracked one of the brackets in the process.

Mirrors work great. Only 4 stars because clamp is plastic and have to be careful tightening it in fear it might break. So far it has held good. For the money, a good mirror.

Comments
Mirrors work great. Weak point is clamps on mirror. They will break because they are plastic. I never had problem with them getting loose.

The mirrors are well built and easily attach. I have not had an opportunity to use them as my boat is on a lift. However, I can tell you I should not run over anyone anytime soon when I am backing up. And I can safely change lanes.

Comments
After one year it is working perfectly. My trailer sits outside in the florida sun and yet the camera is working just fine

The mirrors appear to be pretty sturdy. The actual mirror seems a bit small, but I have not used the mirrors yet to tell if the mirror size is actually adequate or not. The clamps are nicely machined and not one bit flimsy; they are rock solid. The lower part of the clamp that wedges into the mirror housing is nice and thin, but it still seems to touch the top of the truck's mirrors slightly. But, they still seem to be able to adjust ok, occasionally grabbing the clamp and jumping a little. One other semi trivial thing that was a little disappointing; I had to use a wrench on the nut used to adjust the tube length, and the wrench scratched the paint off of the aluminum nut. It detracted from the fine appearance of the mirrors ever so slightly. I wish I had some exact match touch up paint. In a couple of days I will get to use them for the first time whereas I am picking up my new travel trailer from the dealer out east on Long Island. I'll report back on how well it went and how well the mirrors worked. I'll even try to add pictures.

Good mirrors allow you to see the back end of the trailer. Super easy instal and setup. Everything going well on our first ever trip with our new trailer and new mirrors, until return trip. My passenger side mirror was blown away. Contacted CIPA the manufacturer a week ago and never heard anything back from them they are just dismissing my inquiry. That the only reason for the low rating

- CM11980-2
by:

Garbage. The mirrors did not clamp on without messing up the paint on the mirror. Then of you don’t clamp it down it will just fall off going down the high at just like ours did. Save your money and find a different product.

- CM11980-2
by:

What a difference these make so that you can see! The only issue I had, was the last camping trip I took last year, the driver side flew off and shattered. I was able to re-work the passenger side mirror and put that on my driver side. I used an extra screw down on it this time and make sure that every time I stop, I tighten them. They do loosen up! Hopefully, by taking the time to check them along the way, it will prevent it from flying off!

- CM11980-2
by:

Well, how these mirrors attached to the vehicle mirrors is clever. However, under some conditions, “wind” will rip these mirrors off the vehicle when mounted as recommended by the manufacturer. On most of today’s vehicles with plastic mirror housings, you can not possibly secure this mirror to the vehicle mirrors in certain wind conditions without risking damage like “cracking” or “braking” the vehicle mirrors. Wind from semi trucks or cross winds can slam the extended mirrors against the the vehicle (due to increased surface area - more mirror sticking out in the wind stream). If you only use this product at slow speeds when backing up or parking, then these mirrors will work fine. Take them off before driving at higher freeway speeds. I lost two mirrors so far from two separate incidents while passing semi trucks. In both cases, these extended mirrors were secured as tight as possible without damaging the vehicle mirrors. But wind gust from trucks on the highway and freeway caused the mirrors to be instantly ripped off. Disappointing!

These mirrors are great! The clamping system is very secure and any adjustments you make to the mirrors lock in tight.

These mirrors have been fitted to a 2014 VW Tiguan, pulling a Taxa Cricket trailer. I have had to modify the rubber pads on the mirror clamp by cutting each pad almost in half (see photo) to accommodate the car mirror design (see photo). I will glue the pads to the clamp to keep them from getting lost. The mirrors will do the job for which they were purchased. I have not yet driven at speed, but I do not anticipate any problems. The mirrors are securely attached.

- CM11980-2
by:

Mirrors clamped on, but eventually fell off. I kept tightening it, but because the clamp is plastic, all this did was stretch the clamp wider without actually increasing the clamping force. I put $14K miles on the truck before they failed: one fell off, the other the clamp broke. For short distances or sporadic use they are probably fine.

- CM11980-2
by:

These mirrors worked perfectly, for seeing down the sides of my camper. They stayed firmly attached to my truck mirrors, while I was towing the camper on the highway.

- CM11980-2
by:

Bought these because I thought that by costing more they would be the best. They don’t fit the Toyota Tacoma well enough to stay on on the freeway. The mirrors popped off on the first trip, and were destroyed on the highway by traffic. Get the cheaper ones that strap to the mirror, not the clamp.

I was very satisfied with customer service and The Rep Odelia K that assisted me , Her knowledge of twist I needed , her follow up letting me know when product was shipped etc . I give a 5 + The issue was with the packaged my items . The box arrived smashed and when opening the actual product boxes were smashed. Fortunately nothing was broken . I realize that was on UPS , Where this come into play for whomever packaged the product they should have had more packaging materials in the box.

- CM11980-2
by:

These mirrors are absolutely fantastic. If I could give them 10 stars I would. I never have to do any adjustment unless I accidentally bumped one. I just loosen them pull them off and lay them in the backseat of the truck. Reinstalling is absolutely simple and they hold on perfectly. I highly recommend this product

- CM11980-2
by:

These mirrors are a decent solution if you do not have towing mirrors. However, I have lost each mirror once while driving down the road. The bright side is that neither mirror broke when it fell off my truck, and I was able to retrieve them before they got run over by other vehicles. These mirrors connect to your existing mirrors via a screw mechanism that "pinches" the top of your side mirror. If that screw isn't tight enough, you will lose your mirror while driving down the road. if you over tighten the screw, you will crack the plastic on your vehicles' mirror. So, it is a bit of a delicate balance. That said, when placed properly on your vehicle they are stable and do a good job at being a towing mirror. I give them three stars because, I'm always afraid that they will either fall off or they will break my vehicle's mirror.

On our 2019 expedition the top of the mirrors have a slight arch in them and are slightly shorter in length, I was slightly doubtful of the out come mounting them to the top, I did mount them to the bottom mirror frame rail as it was both longer and straight, and with the add on mirrors frame end facing upwards instead down like normal they have stayed put, don’t vibrate and work well. Just be sure to turn the auto-fold feature on the car mirrors off.
