People constantly are distracted and I have a new vehicle so as you can see I added extra lights so too being seen. I feel the hitch lights really help giving me the extra protection.
just what i wanted to add more light to the back of my truck. i had one little problem with the unit when i first hooked it up, the left turn signal was not flashing, removed cover and checked bulb, it was fine reversed left and right bulbs and tried again, everything worked fine. very pleased with my purchase, (loose bulbs do not bother me)
frederick j - 05/30/2022I assume that most people buy this, like me, for the safety of added visibility on breaking, turning, hazards. But here’s the problem, when I plug it into my trailer and lights the vehicle now thinks that it’s towing and disables my cross traffic and Blindspot warnings. Defeating the purpose of the safety feature. If etrailer mentioned this possibility in the description or video I missed it. Fortunately they’re taking it back for a full refund. But also it’s not very well-made in my opinion cheap plastic and didn’t really have a very snug fit in the receiver. Plus I don’t like the way the wires dangle and I had a tie them up with cable ties.

Didn't want to have an open hitch receiver so I looked around for something to fill the whole. Saw this receiver cover and figured why not? Not only is the receiver covered, but I get some additional stop warning lighting. Works great, seems to be sturdy enough plastic with no breakage issues. Did have to make a slight modification to the lighting box to make it fit my situation, but no big deal (cut off part of one corner with a hack saw).
exactly what I was looking for. Will not get in the way of the bike rack and very visible. Will be great for nighttime and early morning travels. Will be using it this weekend for a long trip with the bikes. Thank you
A great accessory for my truck. The lights are very bright. The light set provides the extra lighting for the rear of my truck when backing up in darker areas. The added light helps other drivers see my vehicle. This light assembly is easy to install in just a few minutes. Just plug and go without the need for anything extra.
Installed it right after I received it, works great. Only problem I have with product is that it hasn't a very long working life, this is the third one I have installed, usually the device that controls the brake light fails, so I bypass the wiring on that till the rest of the unit fails (maybe two years). This installation I have applied bielectric grease on the light bulb sockets and permatex into the exposed holes, lets see if this helps any. Let me add also that one replacement was because of a faulty car wash equipment and not fixtures fault. All and all service and delivery is great and enjoy product and great price. So see you in a couple of years for this product? And maybe buy another of your products for the good service, Thanks.
bob b - 02/22/2021This is a very UNIQUE light that appears to be sold exclusively by etrailer.com. This light is a very versatiile three way light that helps illuminate the lower portion of the rear of our 28Ft Motor Home and is sold at a very reasonable price. Its easy to install and works like a charm. In fact, my neighbor tried to talk me out of this light to use on this 30' Motor Home. Now he's ordering one for the very reasons mentioned above.
Works as advertised, lights are bright, definitely adds better safety against getting rear-ended. Build quality could be much better, and the 4 pin connector wire could stand to be about 6 inches longer, I had to get an extension.
Just short of a year of using this product, two of the lights quit working. I removed the device and threw it in the trash.
Brooke M - 06/21/2022Performs as described. Wiring harness could be longer, can be difficult to reach electrical port on some pickup trucks. Lens cap is not durable enough, easily cracks. Already had to repair within 3 months, by using clear duct tape.
Overall the light is just what my husband wanted and he is very pleased. He has to drill a hole about 3/4 inch closer to the light to make a tighter fit for our hitch. Happy hubby 5 stars.
Good product. I know it is plastic, mounted below the bumper, so be extra careful not to back up and hit anything. Lucky for me I can see with my back-up camera the top edge of the Light Cover.
Haven’t put it in my truck yet, had to order converter so I could plug it in and a lock so no one steals it . I like the looks of it, and I might wait till after the salt on the road to put in truck, so it doesn’t get all messy

It was great. I hit a dip and scraped it, breaking the wires. I re*wired it, so that the outside bulbs are now turn signals and only the center bulb is break and running light.

Gives you the extra safety that traffic behind you will see that you are stopping or signaling from a safe distance.
Works exactly as advertised. Easy installation. Took longer to unpack than to install.
Wiring Harness is not wrapped, just a bundle of loose wires, harness needs to be longer as plug location varies among vehicles, not long enough to route and hide most of the wiring behind the license plate. Not enough room behind lights to install hitch pin with a lock, had to order a basic hitch pin without a lock. Functionally it works as advertised, but loose wires hanging in front of license plate looks less than professional.
This is my second Tri-Light that I have purchased from E-Trailer. I broke the first one and needed a replacement. The product is as described and works perfectly. It enhances the safety of my vehicle and is very visible to traffic behind me. I had recently installed LED lights in my truck and as a result of that it caused my turn signal lights to hyper flash. This Tri-Light solved that as soon as I plugged it in. It was very easy to install, even for this 80 year old man. I give it five stars.
