Round Tube Stainless Steel Trailer Hitch Receiver Step with LED Brake Light.Nice product appearance wise. time will tell if it withstands the weather. I bought two for bumper protection from the inconsiderate drivers for my 2014 Cadillac SRX & 2016 Nissan Pathfinder (both have factory tow packages) and added locking hitch pins for security. Looks nice, adds additional LED illumination and helps with reaching the roof while washing.
Charles S - 02/20/2018Solid build and very good fit and finish. Not much rattling when using a standard hitch pin.
I like how the LEDs also flash when I signal either left or right, which is attention grabbing. The last hitch-mounted brake light I had only flashed when signaling right.
However, the closest mounting hole leaves the step sticking out further than I would like so I wish there was one additional hitch pin hole that allows mounting the step closer to the vehicle.
The Bully receiver step is well made and installation is easy and straight forward. The lead that goes to your vehicle flat 4 way plug is a little short. Before you start your install, recommend getting a 12” extension from any auto parts store so you have it on hand in case you do need it.
Etrailer did an excellent job in filling the order and the way it was packaged and shipped is probably the best I have ever seen. No way was the receiver step going to get damaged during shipping. Outstanding job!!!!

This product makes the back of my vehicle look great. I really like the strip of LED brake lights across the center. I use the step to clean the roof top. I rated this 4 stars only because the rubber caps are a little fragile.

Richard L - 08/29/2019It was a nice addition and matched my step sides. I ended up cutting the wire and splicing in another foot so I could put the wire up under the bumper. That way it wasn't so visible. Other than that it does what it supposed to do.

Fits loosely, asked for 2" hitch, plastic wedge is cheap and won't stick. No locking pin or any pin for that matter. Took 4 months to get, the etrailer people were awesome though through the whole waiting process. Lights are great feature and not cheesy and product has nice finished look but it all comes to how it fits and that's a little shaky doesn't seem to be square to fender looks like an add on that's not stock. I waited 4 months and now have to go buy a locking pin which I hope will snug it up and stop the rattle. But hey what do you want for [the money]. It does have a downed nose look when looking straight onto vehicle rear. They should make neck with a type of all around rubber bunshing to snug it to hitch receiver.

Great product. Had one on our 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe which we traded in on our new 2017 Santa Fe. Bought the same thing for or new vehicle. It is a good addition to help step up and get things up and down from the roof rack as well as keep cars from bumping you when parallel parked in Washington DC. The LED light/brake light is also an added safety feature to the rear at night.
Tim - 09/05/2019Wanted let you know I like my step hitch very much but I have little problem which is not your problem. But it is my 2017 Ford Escape I cannot use the light hook up as lt inerfers with side view warning system. My warning system keeps seeing a trailer hooked up. Thank you.
Laura E - 01/10/2017Before evaluating the hitch step I want to say a word about etrailer service. In a word---outstanding!! Upgraded shipping free of charge, excellent response time and article arrived earlier than expected.
I like this step and in general it is quite nice. My only complaint is that the wiring harness is just a little too short. If the wiring harness was about 6 inches longer you could easily feed it behind the step and out of the way. As it is, you either have to run it over the top(where it gets in the way) or buy an extension wire to make it long enough to fit under the step. The finish on the step is very nice stainless steel and should hold up for many miles or years. The foot pad area feels secure although I would prefer it was a little larger(I have size 13 feet). All in all, a good product, outstanding service, and once again a pleasure to deal with etrailer.
Product fit well on 2012 Ford Expedition and will help protect rear bumper from nicks due to inconsiderate parallel parkers as well as making it easier to step into cargo area when loading items. It did not interfere with rear sensors and is visible on rear camera. LED's are an additional safety benefit. Stainless steel finish could be a little better and time will tell how it holds up. Installation was a breeze.
We have a luggage carrier on our Mazda Cx-9 that is not easy to reach unless you step up on the bumper which is not really big enough to do that. Found this little guy and works as expected. I bought the lighted one as I thought that would serve as a good way to keep my trailer wire in place while not connected to a trailer etc...
Good, solid product. Now, I don't know if it's the product or my receiver hitch, but one or the other is not "perfectly" level (at least to my critical eye). The only other concern I had, and it may be because neither the product's 4-pin nor the 4-pin on my vehicle have ever been used before, was that I originally thought the connectors did not match up - they were extremely difficult to connect! LEDs do seem to be bright enough. Happy with my purchase.

I ordered this unit to finish off the hitch I had ordered a few days before. Both orders were filled within a day and shipped all the way to me in southern California in about six days.
Regarding the hitch and wiring harness, the online videos for their installation process were a great help!
Always great service and advice from trailers. Excellent company. My only negative comment is that the LED lights in this bumper step are not as bright as I thought they might be.
I have an after market hitch so the receiver/step doesn't sit in quite as tight to my vehicle as I would like, however it still looks much better than an open ended receiver. The led lights are a bonus.
Each and every item that I have purchased from E-trailer has been exceptional. This lighted step gives me the added security of an extra brake light and makes it easier for me to get into the back of my vehicle.
My wife purchased this hitch step for me to replace the old one I had. My ruck was rear ended last summer and the step was damaged but it did its job and protected my bumper. It is a great product and also makes it easier to unload items when the tailgate is closed.
A little larger than I had pictured. Looks nice, Lights work.
Negatives: It is not quite square. One side is closer to the bumper than the other. I flipped it over and the other side was closer.
Which meant it was the step that was not exactly straight.
The amount out of square was ~ 3/8 inch. Not visible from a distance.
First let me say you're perfect in what you say. My part arrived when just as you said, today, in perfect condition. Secondly my wife loves it. We put it in the hitch of her new Jeep and she says it looks like it was made for her Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. If she's happy I'm happy. Thanks so much for your rapid response.Excuse me because I don't know how to send a picture. Suffice it to say it looks great in her new. Jeep.
