They seem solid and the fit all three trailers well, and I like that they are keyed alike. I wish they fit a little more snuggly, but there can only be so much adjustment.
I was a little disappointed in the lock. The shackle is very robust and I'm sure very strong but the body of the lock, I'm not so sure. It feels very light weight. It is not magnetic so it's not steel. It appears to be cast aluminum or diecast. It seems like one good wack with a hammer would break it but maybe not, maybe it's stronger than I think. It does fit very nice and tight on my coupler and the only way a thief would get it off would be to
break it or cut it. I would buy it again if I needed one for another trailer.

when I found this lock online your web site said "Made in USA". When I spent my money to purchase it and recieved it, Just as I suspected, the packaging said "designed in USA, made in taiwan" Very deceptive! I want a full refund and a return shipping label.

The Fastway lock gets only three stars based on the slop in the lock left once you ratchet u-lock into the base. It is a concern that a theft could pry it over ball coupler. etrailer customer service and prompted shipping was 5 star. etrailer as a distributor of Fastway, please pass this review on.
very strong and sturdy BUT has two small problems the reason for not giving 4-5 stars
they have to be removed and oiled every three months if you don't you will have hell of a time unlocking them, at first you think the key is not working and then you think that the lock has jammed to aid in this aggravation the lock will not release unless you keep key turned ( not spring loaded, they saved money by not adding this feature)(mistake)a a bit hard to hit hitch with hammer and keep key turned and not break key also tolerance is way to tight which of course leads to main reason for it seizing up.
Fix the key and a little most tolerance or do not use it for long term storage. yes I kept the lock clean of dirt and debris.

I think the Fastway Trailer Coupler lock is one of the best Toy Hauler locks on the market. It's a solid well constructed tough product, and reasonably priced...it gives you an extra edge of securing your Toy Hauler when your out of town at Car Shows/Cruis'ens and you can even reverse it on certain makes of trailers depending on how the trailer tongue/coupler is constructed/designed which makes the key slot even more difficult to get at. etrailer is one of the best companies to do business that I have run across in a long time. There Customers Service Reps are excellent well trained individuals that have good customer service manners and follow ups...keep doing what you do best. Your on the same playing field as [racing company] and a couple of other businesses that have excellent customer service reputations...

Charlie - 05/31/2019Great hitch lock - haven't had a generator stolen yet with one of these deployed on the hitch. Downside is that the finish isn't Chrome - it's a mylar film that will peel off, and can cut you (personal experience)
Aaron M - 10/29/2021I think this is the best bang for you buck. Nice beefy lock. I was able to buy multiple locks for 3 trailers all keyed the same. It fits skinny or wide tongue configurations. Im in a cold winter climate, they will freeze up, but that is with any lock that you buy. Keep a little handy torch in the trailer to warm it up, takes only a minute. Ive had these for a little over a year with no problems.

The lock is well made but fits loosely in the 2 5/16” coupler. The “ball” part of the lock is too small for the space it occupies. I’ll probably modify it.
Robert - 08/29/2021Ordered these for all of our enclosed trailers, equipment trailer, and dump trailer. They all fit snug and are keyed alike as requested. SO far, I would recommend this for sure!
For the money these coupler locks are a great deal. Its also a big advantage having them all keyed alike for our fleet of trailers.

I just purchased several items from etrailer. See photo for trailer lock and a new set of chains. I keep my trailer on the street and thought I had better start securing a little better.
