Aluminum and steel alloy construction is sturdy and eco-friendly.I was concerned about packaging. Read reviews about damaged boxes and missing hardware. I received my hitch quickly once ordered. The box was slightly damaged with holes in it. The bag of hardware was intact since it was wrapped tightly to the hitch with tape! No damage to the hitch or the license plate holder. Installation was a breeze. Took 5 hours by myself with the help of a floor jack to raise the hitch in place. The only input is to add templates for the cutting that needs to be done to the air dam area. I did fine but some folks might not be good at freehand measuring. Excellent product! Well built and look’s great! Thanks!
Horrible experience. Sold with no mention of it being backordered. Once in stock, it was lost for two weeks in the warehouse, being "gathered". Arrived open with no protection so the receiver is scratched and needs to be repainted before I can install it on a new truck. The license plate holder is bent. The hardware bag is taped to the main unit and has several holes in it. I haven't had a chance to verify it's contents yet. This will be my last purchase from etrailer.
Heather A - 03/16/2022Shipment just arrived. Parts appear to be of good quality. The feels strong and well built. The bracket for License plate is not really strong and was shipped in the receiver hole. Was bent when opened and jammed in the receiver. Had to tap out with a hammer. Instructions appear to be straight forward.step by step. Had to go thru all hardware and make sure all parts were in box. When hitch arrived the box had big holes in it. The hardware was loose in the box and washers and bolts everywhere. I was lucky only thing missing was a 5/8 lock washer and the license bracket bent. This is not a UPS issue. Hitch is place in a box with nothing to keep it from moving around. The hardware was place in a ziplock bag and then in a small box. Box with hardware was poorly taped shut. Hardware bag came out of the small box and ripped open and hardware was loose in the big box. With the holes in the box I do not know how all the hardware wasn’t lost. I think Etrailer could do better with packaging the shipment. Should have padding and some form of blocking box to keep hitch from moving around in box.
We installed this product on a 2022 Ram 3500 6.7L for a customer wanting a front hitch option for his winch tray. Install was easy with straight forward instructions. Finished product looked great and excellent functionality.
Front Hitch 3500 Ram 2021 Is Heavy duty and easy to install
First The hitch itself is well made BUT as other have stated the packaging is a joke! About 4LBS. of hardware in a zip-lock sandwich bag. Of course when the hitch arrived the box was beat to [crap], hole, BIG hole in the corner, hardware spilling out. MIA is the hitch Pin's spring clip, Ny-lock nuts, & various washers. Sucks for you if your not near a hardware store. INSTALL; Straight forward, kind of a PIA if you don't have a lift. The instructions are OK but when you get to removing the intercooler shroud look long & hard, getting to the two top bolts is just about impossible. I left it on and used a 4" grinder with a cutting blade, Perfect! Took two of us on our back to lift the main unit in place. Overall it's a H.D. unit, took me about 4-5 Hrs. On my back. TOOLS USED; 18mm,24mm,& 3/4" 1/2" drive sockets. 1/2" Drive Impact. 18mm,24mm,& 3/4" Wrench's. 10mm 1/4" drive socket. If you don't have one get one of those small pry bars w/ the V groove for the push clips, screwdriver works but you will probably bust them. 4" grinder w/ cutting blade. Just be prepared for the MIA parts.
Sierra K - 10/26/2021My average rating of this product is not for the product itself but the condition upon arrival. I installed the hitch myself. It wasn't too complicated, but took longer than expected. First, the box it came in had two gaping holes in it that had been tapped over and cling wrapped several times. Second, ALL the bolts, nuts and washers were not in the hardware bag they were supposed to be in, instead they were just loose in the box. Not sure how this happens because the bag they were suppose to be in was obviously cut with a sharp tool, not ripped open as if it were a shipping mishap. So I can only imagine that someone just threw it all in there and said F it. This leads me to my third comment. Because of the gapping holes in the box and the loose hardware, you can just guess that several items were missing. I had to make a couple trips to my local hardware store to get the necessary items to complete the install. That being said, the hitch fit my 2019 Ram 3500 great and so far works great. A little more care in the packing and shipping of this product would go a long way.

Pro tip - install loose and don't overtighten. Truly frickin stout. No rack or help so this took a while. etrailer fielded my calls for help as initially I couldn't get the main cross member to install. Keep things loose and it will be fine. 18, 19 & 24 mm were my friends on my 2020 Ram 3500.
Great front hitch. I mounted to carry my two Ebikes. Installation went as direction instructed. Installed by myself in 3.5 hours taking my time.
I ordered the hitch in early November. I spoke with customer service after having few shipping problems. They were helpful and easy to talk to and helped track down the package. I finally received it around mid-December. The EcoHitch is a perfect fit for my 2019 Ram 3500. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. It was an easy install for an average person like myself. It looks like a professional job.
The hitch looks great, very heavy duty, took about 4 hours with 2 people to install. you will need a 10mm ratcheting closed end wrench to remove the front air dam and a 1/2" breaker bar to remove the factory installed tow hook bolts, with that install is fine. I plan on using it front front mount bike rack, kayak carrier but also wanted HD for a front mount wench.
The build Quality is great. The execution of delivery was poor I met there are UPS driver at the end of my driveway. When the delivery driver was pulling the hitch out of the back of the truck all I heard was hardware hitting the floor of the truck. I am only missing a few of the screws to hold the license plate on the holder luckily.The hitch did not come in a box and was just wrapped in plastic with the hardware bag split open.
This is how my box came two big holes in it. All the hardware is loose I haven’t even tried to install it yet ,but I’m afraid that I won’t have all the hardware since some of the pieces probably fell through the holes in the boxes. If the hardware was in a bag I probably wouldn’t be as worried, but since it was loose and there was holes in the boxes I’m pretty sure some hardware has fallen out. Very disappointed very heavy to send back definitely going to have to go to [hardware store] and try to find hardware and by the way it came with no instruction.

I received the front hitch damaged and missing parts. I have sent a few customer service messages since with no response.
This one dose fix a dodge 3500 diesel truck. But the box was shipped broken and the shipper lost most of the hardware.
