This Furrion Chill AC system lets you replace an existing setup or add a new setup if your RV or camper doesn't already have one. It includes all of the components necessary to adjust the temperature inside your RV.

Air Conditioner

Furrion

The air conditioner has two fans, each with their own motor, to help move cool air faster and more efficiently inside your RV on a hot and muggy day. It also has a built-in start capacitor that uses stored energy to give an extra boost of power to help jump-start your unit when a campsite or generator doesn't provide enough power. Integrated rubber dampeners on the compressor reduce vibration and allow your AC unit to run quietly.

Air Distribution Box and Thermostat

Furrion Air Distribution Box

The air distribution box has a built-in thermostat and accommodates ducted and ductless systems. The 2 knobs allow you to manually control the fan and temperature settings. One knob controls the 3 fan speed settings, which let you increase or decrease airflow. The other knob allows you to set the temperature. It also features 2 slotted registers to maximize airflow in your RV. The registers can be closed to divert more air to the ducts in a ducted system.

Easy to install in our 24 foot motorhome camper and works great, cools down thr camper the heat side works great also

by:

I would give this unit a 5 if it didn't freeze up so much. You definitely have to play with the controls until you get it to run without doing so. Keeps the pop up comfortable in shade or on days where it's below 85 and low humidity, but on hotter and more humid days, due to freeze ups, we can only get it down to 80.
Also,we had to send the first one back due to it getting crushed in shipping. A crate would be better than just cardboard. But customer service is awesome and sent us a new one right away. Second one also had some damage but not as bad as the first.

Comments
After a year, now that we have figured out how to control it in our pop up, it works great. I’d highly recommend this ax unit!

This review is not about the product as I haven't been able to install it yet, but more about etrailer Customer Service. We have had multiple issues concerning the product arriving damaged. Customer service has gone above and beyond to assist. I can't say enough good things about them. The delivery company on the other hand well, I will just leave it there. Thanks etrailer!

Comments
Product works great, much quieter than the factory installed ones. Use this in the front bedroom and use it as the primary with the original as backup. Definitely recommend this unit.Customer service was far beyond expectations.

The vents don’t adjust enough and the air takes a long time to cool the camper off. Needs the vents to adjust more.

by:

This is a game changer in our pop-up trailer. Installation was not too bad. Puts out lots of cold air!

by:

We are very happy with this ac unit. We use our camper to travel with dogs and because this draws less power we are able to use our small Honda generator to keep it running if needed. The ac unit is quite and does a great job of cooling. Would buy another if needed

by:

Installation was easy. Unit installed in bedroom in Fifth Wheel. It cools down nicely even on hot day in the Southeast. Build quality is great and unit seems more reliable than other brands.

by:

We have a small 14x7 trailer we thought having the unit put on would be so much better than a window unit. And honestly it just doesn't run as cold as we thought. At first I guess we were freezing it up but once we realized you can't run it on the coldest setting ever. We managed to get it cool enough. But one would think it would be better than a window unit. It is not. I wish we would not have paid so much for the unit and then the cost to have it installed and it runs mediocre. We wanted to love it. It does run okay off the generator but sometimes it takes a few tries it would kick it off. Its a 4500 watt generator so it should run the unit just fine. Just not happy with it but we are stuck so.

by:

Cover for air conditioner was broke have have not received a replacement been 5 months!

by:

The product looks great and seems to fit as advertised. I’m very excited about the finished product. I still haven’t plugged it in and see how well it works. Delivery was fast but packaging was poor. The box was torn and compressed by straps from where lifting was likely occurring. Upon opening the box and seeing unit I found the plastic holding the lid with screws broke so I’ll just have to strap the lid down with bungees I guess. Fortunately it’s only 3 screws on one side.

I’ll send photos of finished product and damage to unit.

Great product and the customer service is over the top! Highly recommend etrailer.com!

by:

Instructions that come with the unit are very thorough. There are also plenty of videos online to figure out how to install. Quick and simple. One broken tab from shipping (will include in photo). Happy with the exterior look and cold air it pumps into the RV. First day I give it 5 stars. Will shop with etrailer again.

by:

Easy to install. Instructions very clear. Needed help getting it on top of the RV. Took about 4 hours total.

by:

I'm unable as the unit was damaged in shipping. Box completely inadequate for a 90lbs unit. Top cover broken from the unit on one side.
I can say etrailer.com seemed responsive to sending shipping label for return. And send new unit in better shipping box or additional boxing to prevent shipping damage. But nothing has happened yet.

by:

The air conditioner and distribution vent are doing great. It is a good strong unit that will take care of my needs in Texas. It was easy to install and I love it.

by:

Ac unit arrived in perfect condition, nothing broken. This was my first time installing a ac unit on my Rv. I did the job by myself. Took me around six hours. Hardest part it getting ac unit on top of trailer. I would recommend having someone help and watch a couple of videos.

by:

the service and timing was great., I know the quality of the product is excellent and I would like to thank e-trailer for the extended effort in customer satisfaction , You are a top notch well organized group and I will do business with you in the future.
sorry no photos
thanks again

It was great everything went perfect

by:

Had a little problem,,They took care of it I’m satisfied
Good customer service

by:

It works and blows cool! He aware that it requires a ceiling thickness minimum of 3 inches. If you are putting it in a cargo trailer like me you will have some fabrication to do. I made a 2x2 aluminum frame and welded it on the roof. The unit arrived with the cover broken. Etrailer sent a new cover but they just sent the unit in the original Furrion box. The screws hood my the cover on are rusted after two weeks. Come on Furrion use stainless!

by:

The unit works great. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the use of aluminium for all of the coils and tubes. I imagine if we were camping near the beach extensive corrosion would result from the salt atmosphere. The only choice now is to pull the cover
off each time we go to the beach and hose it down with fresh water through the coils.

by:

etrailers customer service is excellent. Shipping was fast. (3 days to California). This air conditioner works amazing blows super cold and is very quite. Easy start up and runs on a 15 amp. Also runs on my 2800 generator.
The cover was damaged from shipping 5 out of 8 of plastic tabs broken. Notifed etrailer customer service Courtney B sent pictures and will be sending me a new replacement cover.
Thank you etrailer! Will be a customer for life!

by:

My order arrived with the lid damaged. I contacted etrailor and they immediately processed an order for a new lid which I received in a timely manner. I was treated with respect and friendliness throughout this entire transaction. I highly recommend them.

by:

cools my 7x14 in about 10 minutes at 100degrees outside.
a little heavy so I braced roof rails with cross bars. Install was time consuming but not too bad.

by:

I am writing this review mainly on the customer service since my husband would need to rate the actual product but I have not heard him complain with the quality at all. The original unit came in with the top clamps damaged in shipping and they were very responsive in getting us a replacement out and keeping us informed as to the status of the replacement. Great company and customer service.

  • Can the Furion RV Air Conditioner with Built in Thermostat be Used as a Stand Alone Second Unit
I'm glad it worked out so well! I really like the Furrion units like the Furrion Chill RV Air Conditioner and Air Distribution Box part # FAC1411MA-W over the others. I'm actually going to add one to mine soon. Back to your question there is great news. You can simply install the second unit and wire it directly. From there the thermostat and controls on the unit will operate it with no issues.

  • Air Conditioner Recommendation for my Enclosed Trailer.
On your 24 Foot enclosed trailer I recommend using the Furrion Chill RV Air Conditioner and Air Distribution Box w/ Built-in Thermostat - 14,500 Btu part # FAC1411MA-W. This is a complete setup that will allow you to control the unit from the air distribution box. It uses the least amount of power to turn on compared to the other brands and gets colder than they do. It is definitely the one I would have in my enclosed trailer. Check out the attached video on the system.

The Honda 2,000 Watt EU2200i Generator which I believe is what you have is rated for up to 18.3 amps and the Furrion Chill Rooftop RV Air Conditioner part # FAC1411MA-W only needs 14.6 amps for startup so they will work with one another. The required amps for the air conditioner will then drop down after startup so you are not running the generator at near 100% capacity

  • How to Determine Correct Replacement Air Conditioner for Pilgrim Lite Trailer
Although we do not have any way of knowing parts that are on any specific trailers, we can help you find the correct replacement. The only thing you need to know is the size of the opening your current AC fits. It is very likely the standard 14-1/2" x 14-1/2" though you will want to confirm this, as well as the thickness of your roof. If it is 3-1/2" to 6" thick you will be able to replace your unit with the Furrion Chill RV Air Conditioner and Air Distribution Box w/ Built-in Thermostat...

  • Is the Air Circulation Fan on the Furrion Chill RV Air Conditioner Constant
The air circulation fan on the Furrion Chill RV Air Conditioner and Air Distribution Box part # FAC1411MA-W is constant as that is what pushes air over the temperature sensor so the thermostat can get an accurate reading of the air temperature. I cannot speak for all RV air conditioners but I do know the majority of them function in this manor. It's the best way to get the most accurate reading.

  • Roof Opening Fit For Furrion Air Conditioner
Yes, your Furrion AC, such as the # FAC1411MA-W in white, will fit a standard 14" x 14" roof opening. Any roof accessory that measures 14 1/4" x 14 1/4" will fit these openings because while they are commonly referred to as an industry standard square of 14" x 14", they're actually a little bit larger and that reference is shorthand.

We don't have anything that was designed to connect to the pre-wiring of your Jayco but this would wire easily to wiring present there already. It just wouldn't be a direct plug in.
